Undiscovered in 2013 - rediscovered 2020!!! Now here yes! It is such obvious ! Typical for German public channels this is well performed, well recorded, well displayed! This is really an huge advantage of German Public Radio and TV system, me a a German living abroad highly admiring! A bit like with Piazolla and WDR: best ever public recordings now with WDR!

Trumpetist Ibrahhim Maalouf´s and to go to the moon with the propulsion of the first huge impuslo! when leaving the base! :) and when I.Maalouf starts on his solos! becomes even more energetic than Jimmy Hendrix on the riff of the United States anthem! :) metaphorically speaking! ;) Peace and Health in times of "covid 19" :(

I love, love, love Maalouf, Unfortunatly , his music is very hard to get in Montreal. Sometime I think it would be easier to order them via NewYork and drive there to get them . The response from our disc store is '' we can't have it because of the distributors..........'' That Pisses me off.

I think the bass notes are given by 3 instruments. Double bass all the way through, drum and the baritone saxophone in the bottom right corner given that beautiful rich sound. The genious behind this, in other live gigs the middle but played by the saxophone player, he changes the artists and on the track on his albumn again so different. Fluid, brilliant and this what make him a true artist.
