I have one of these. This one, like mine, has the new more rigid mount. My camera is just far enough away from my router that it is a bit too slow. So I ordered one of the flat plate directional antenna and correct cable. It should be arriving next week. I have seen some that have used this arrangement that worked very well. I expect mine to work as well!

Many times creators just don't get notifications for comments. Many times I run across comments that are weeks, months, or even years old that I never saw or was notified about. I have almost 300 videos so, I have to rely on RUclips to notify me when there is a new comment, but the system is very glitchy. I used both desktop and smartphone. There are some comments I can only see on my smartphone and cannot see on my desktop. I sometimes get notifications for comments that I can never find. Recently, there is a glitch with the system that has made it so creators have been unable to reply to comments from the notification tab (clicking the BELL icon in the upper right-hand corner) on the desktop. You have to go to the video page to respond. This makes replying to comments very time-consuming. All this to say that, RUclips needs to do a lot of work on its comment system to make it easier and more efficient to use.

I wish I knew the answer to your question. I have no experience with the DVR systems. I only have experience with their WiFi and Cellular cameras that are controlled through their app.
You should have put a loop in the cable, hanging down below the line of the cable, so that rainwater will run down the loop and then drip onto the ground, instead of running all the way along the cable into the camera unit.
Your video stops where everyone else does. You only set it up to watch live video. You didnt set it up to record or be able to watch recorded activities. I still cant get my reolink argus pt cameras to record video and be able to access that video. The app just gives errors when i try to access recorded videos.
Hi. Yes, this was just an installation video. I planned to do a second about settings and usage, but never got around to it. Did you put an SD card in the camera's? They will not record without and SD card. To record video, you need a good SD card, like the Samsung EVO Select or the SanDisk Premium. SD cards do not all write at the same speed and slower cards can cause problems when recording high quality videos.
Only thing I don't like about the ReoLink is they only starts recording when the sensor is triggered. The sensor has a delay, so it starts recording too late. It does not have continuous recording like Wize cameras.
@@thejungleexplorer My brother-in-law installed it for me and as far as he knew everything was working. It did before, but I had to redo the password and now I’m ready to have it function again. Just am not getting any motion announcements.
@@MultiTerryWhite If you are not getting motion detection notifications on you phone, this is probably due to you not authorizing notifications for the Reolink app on your device. If you are on an Android device, long press on the Reolink app icon and select App Info. Then tap on Manage Notifications. Then toggle Allow notification to ON. Hope this helps.

So finally got the answer to my question, No you can't use it with just a phone ! You must have a internet connection at your house. Boom!

I just had to reinstall my Camera to change the password and was looking for instructions to get the device to detect motion. Couldn’t find it here.!
