The "because it's kind" speech is hands down my favorite moment. Peter Capaldi is so amazing in that scene, the desperation in his voice trying his hardest to get through to the Master's one last time gets to me every time. I think about and rewatch that scene a lot.
Following his 3 spectacular predecessors, I was really reluctant to accept Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor. But he soon captured my heart, and he had some of the most dramatic and iconic monologues in Who history!
my personal favorite doctor
Personally I was glad to get capaldi after the show had been focusing on actors that where decades too young for the role
@@ms.antithesis - Peter Davison was only 29 when he took over the role of the Doctor in 1980.
@@carolp5968 yeah that was a gimmick. The young doctor should be the exception not the rule. Like I like mcgann, and ecelston, and tenant, and smith. But 4 doctors under the age of 40 when taking the role in a row, when previously only 1 doctor had been under the age of 40 when taking the role... tbe exception becomes the rule.
When an exception becomes the rule what use to be differances become boring. Davison is my least favourite classic doctor personally because he has nothing to him besides being young and energetic in comparison to other classic doctors. Once that became the norm he transformed into the blandest doctor. So the exception shouldn't keep being the rule.
Capaldi my favorite docta
The Rings of Akhaten speech is one of things that can consistently make me tear up. I love it so much
Definitely one of the best moments of Doctor Who ever
Seeing that tear drop down Matt Smith’s face as he just pours his heart out 😢 the 11th Doctor will ALWAYS be my favorite ❤️ Made me a lifelong fan of all things Matt Smith.
All of them are really good but I'm going to have to give it to the breaking the wall scene from Heaven Sent. I still can't get over how good that episode was after all this time and I have also re watched that episode countless times.
Enjoying this compilation immensely
It literally ends with the highest voted Who episode ever. Higher than Blink.
The Rings of Akhaten speech is one of my all time favourites, due to Matt Smiths acting. There was so much emotion ranging from happy, sad and self loathing, in a small scene, I do wish that they would include Clara's part however.
Edit: Anyone notice during the Doctors Wife, the Tardis mentions a Forest... who gave River Song her name? The people from the Gamma FORESTS. Foreshadowing?
In _A Good Man Goes To War_ , River literally states that her name is River Song and not Melody Pond, because "the only water in the Forest is the river", and as such the People of the Forest don't have a word for "pond". At that point, Rory remembers that "the only water in the Forest is the river" is exactly what Idris/the TARDIS told them in that scene.
This scene in _The Rings of Akhaten_ is one of my favourites too, but for me it's mostly because of the singing. "The Long Song" is easily one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The speech would have been more impactful for me if it had actually, you know..... worked. That's why the Doctor's speech to Merry about the elements in one's body and her being unique in all the Universe; as well as the moment with Clara and the leaf and the concept of a life not lived being made up of an infinite amount of possibilities; made much more of an impact on me than Eleven's speech to Akhaten itself. Although, as said, the song is absolutely amazing.
By the by, the same reason is also why I've never much liked the Pandorica/Stonehenge speech. If anything, Eleven only *_encouraged_* the villains to team up and lock him into the Pandorica by pointing out how afraid they should be of him.
Putting all these great moments together... A simple, yet brilliant idea! God, I can't stop crying. Thank you!
You’re amazing too!
I meant brilliant
One thing about the Best Doctor speeches (and i'll say this on the other video, too). The REALLY good ones, you can imagine being said by ANY Doctor in their own distinctive voice and accent, and the speech still works. In the middle of Tennant's "and I believe in one thing, just one thing", I heard Matt Smith's 'style' in there. He could have delivered that just as well. Once you're there, you can hear Sylvester McCoy, and onward. When he words are The Doctor's, it works, no matter who is saying them.
I love how the first half it’s all serious and then “IT JOST ATE MAH SONIC!”
For me, one of the most deeply poignant moments of NuWho is when Captain Brooke suicides, basically spitting in the Doctor's self-righteous face and telling him to go to hell! And for me, no one added the perfect amount of drama to any given situation than #12. Capaldi's portrayal was, and this is just me, the most ideal Doctor persona of the series since Tom Baker. Granted, every actor brought their particular....quirks....to the Doctor, but Capaldi, and again this is just me, was the perfect embodiment of what our favorite Time Lord is supposed to be. I am looking forward to Ncuti Gatwa in the role. Cheers....
My favorite doctor moments is in the episode "The Green Death" when the Doctor was looking around the power plant and runs in to the guards and fights them off saying " I'm quite spry for my age actually"!
Thank you for producing this exceptional set of moments within the Doctor Who series.... Well done, this is excellent!!!!❤
For a second I thought the title said your favorite doctors moments and it would contain one moment from each Doctor and the comment section would riot no matter What
My favorite moment , is Eclestones moment right before he regenerates , surprising how he is slowly coming back to the role after what happened between him and moffat with podcasts books and what not
That strange ticking sound that occurs whenever the Time Lord uses the Rod and Coronet to 'emphasise his will' always got me.
Less of the silly music, but silence with that ticking scared me as a boy.

Old Spoiler:
My absolute favorite moment was: Als Vince in das Museum mit seinen Werken kam.
(My english is not so good, therefore in german.)
Great comment whether English or German. It was heartwarming since it was easy to imagine what if that were possible since he was a real person. The scene with the docent was a great touch like you said.
It'll be nice to see The Doctor and Susan reunite
for the tiniest second during clara falling, just before the scene changes to her hitting the floor, does anyone else notice a change in hair and CGI face shift?
could just be artefacting from the explosion propagating behind her, but the change in hair colour and shadowing makes her look, shall we say, floral.
edit2: i still wish we could have got some war doctor episodes with Sir Hurt, may he rest well, not sure if anyone else would fit the part so well.
Great idea for a video. Perfect moments. What a fantastic show!
Amazing moment's loved watching this live 😍 can't wait for more great content 👏
Proof, once again, you can't get them all in at once. Each Doctor has his, or her, own speech which defines them. No Jon Pertwee, or Colin Baker, or Sylvester McCoy here, and they all had fine speeches. William Hartnell's is always required. There are others. I am partial to Peter Capaldi (old Scotsmen, or at least those of Scots heritage, have to stick together), but every Doctor has their moments. And the companions: my favorite, Jenna Coleman, and Deborah Watling from the early years. A Part Two would be needed to get them all in, along with those in the 97 missing half-hours. Someday...
I've got a bit of Scottish coursing through my veins, too, LOL! And I, a fan since the 1970s, have to say I agree on Capaldi - he's my absolute favorite!
nice.
I love the Szene with The Docter and Donna with the Song of the Ood.
I want to see the moment where the doctor learn Bill become a Cyberman
Bill :located Bill potts. I am Bill potts. i m waiting.... i m waiting... for .... you
It s make me cry every time
Hi! I have a few favorites but the best part of the video was seeing my favorite Doctors 4 10 and 11 to be exact! These 3 Doctors hold a special place in my heart! Thank you for this awesome video!
This is wonderful
Earth shock is one of my favourites.
Full of good serious acting, creativity, and a cracking story and script
49:45 AYYY, THARRIES GOT IN THE VIDEO!!! 😎😎😎
Yeaaa
First time i saw fugitive doctor getting that timelord status, i assumed for just those few moments before being revealed as an unknown Doctor that it was actually a different version of the master, maybe one yet to come. But then it was revealed she was a alternate doctor and it blew my mind. I honestly believe that's from a separate timeline, one where 10 didnt refuse the regeneration and create the half human doctor by sending energy to his old hand. A timeline where 11 came to be earlier, and had a regeneration left before needing a new cycle. That led to a different timeline, one where 10 didnt survive long enough to say goodbye to rose or tell rose she'd have a great year. Potentially not even needing to sacrifice himself to save people. And even if he did, 11 would be the one dying, meaning all 11 was supposed to do was instead done by 12, and everything changed. Amy pond would meet 12, 12's personality being different leads to a different set of events, maybe even keeping amy and Rory alive. River would have fallen for 12, not 11. 12 would know how river dies of course, and still attempts to avoid it. Then when time came for the next regeneration cycle, clara indeed does what she did in the original, and 12 becomes a different doctor. Not the 13 we know, a different one. And that change is what leads to the Fugitive doctor eventually becoming who we see in fugitive of judoon
Tom Baker's "sHoOOOoeS" is iconic
I should bill you for the mountains of tissue you've made me use. Glad it's recycled, at least!
Interesting that 4 and Harry found the Internet before it existed.
The rings of ahkatan still confuses me a bit but I love it none the less
As a kid I wore out my vhs copy of The Five Doctors.
I really wish the 9th doctor had another series
49:41 This is where I got my name. My handle, across all sites. It’s the response to the Tardis.
Really good choices.
Story line that I'm not sure has been done... Susan and David. What about their children and so forth? What would have been the chance that one of their future children became a companion. Did they ever find out why Donna was so special? I don't remember. Could she have been one of the grandchildren? Someone, please answer me on this...
Unless it was in Big Finish, comic books, and paperbacks, they didn't. If Donna turned out to be related, that would've solved the problem!
There's a Big Finish about it. 8th doctor, somethingoranother of the daleks
Any timelord that must say "I am lord president of Gallifrey" is no real lord president of Gallifrey.
cool thx for making this
he went from this to torchwood, not the reverse.

"I'll always remember the Doctor...and when the Doctor was me."
@Tharries your here
No 7?
Maybe I should go home - back to my own planet...... But I can't.... I Can't!
Wonder if I'm on here
Will still watch it no matter what
I wasn't

Peace and blessings from the states/ ohio
12 realising what is face is for is glorious, also never realised 11 said "sorry, sorry, dropped it" before hopping on the stone for his speech, never going to unhear that XD
Nerdy nitpick, 11 says he's never seen 10 from the outside in his sarcastic remarks about him being skinny. Human Timelord biological metacrisis anyone 😂 11 was called the man that forgets later in the episode so let's just say he forgot about the Human version of 10 that was left on the parallel earth
Jodi was a decent actress, but I would have loved to have seen Jo Martin take over the role instead.
Celery 🙂
I've been watching lot's of classic Who I've been going in on order the first Doctor and I really don't like him he was very mean to Susan and Polly Then you have the first Cybermen of Mondas some of the episodes are in cartoon format just classic who was amazing short episodes but very funny
I never really liked the cyber men
Great, but imagine watching them in chronological order.
Two words: Volume. Levelling.
Seriously Jodie Whittaker go in there 🤔
Capaldi was the perfect send off for the series. RIP Dr WHO
Loved Jordan Peterson as Doctor Who.
The fugitive doctor would have been much better than Jodie tbh she just never felt like the actual doctor
"Look at the shatter-pattern." is a contender for silliest line in Doctor Who ever
how? im genuinely asking
@@wolfwarrior9451 yeah, it makes no sense to me, either.
Um... that's a very legitimate statement in investigations involving broken glass. Like, when it looks like someone broke in & murdered someone, if the glass shatter pattern is wrong, they know the scene was staged. It's not as all what I would consider "silly."
Do we count Peter cushion as a doctor number or the second female doctor in the 13th Jodie Whittaker time line
Jodie and Cushing wasn't proper Doctors. Cushing starred in films and Jodie was ridiculed for been so rubbish.
@@72steviec the sad thing is that jodie is an incredible actress who was given half-baked scripts and stories. with the right writers, her stories could've been as good as what has been given to previous doctors.
@@72steviec Jodie isn’t the first doctor that people widely haven’t liked, that doesn’t make her not a Doctor. She’s as much a doctor as Tennant, Tom Baker, Capaldi or Hartnell.
Jodie and the writer broke the mould as far as Doctor being another sex or color
The thought was there since the 1980s, as a future possibility. Then the speech by #9 gave a bit of foreshadowing. And the moment the Master turned up as Missy, the door was wide open. Then, they handled it beautifully! Brilliant!
nothing about the 13th era should appear in this. disgraceful era.
👏🏽agreed
I kinda liked the bubble wrap episode tbf
Cope
Agreed
Ironically, the scene mentioned in the screencap is one of my least favorites. It comes across as painfully contrived and unnecessary.
Sad to say but the fans need to watch more classic Who, you're not really a fan if you haven't watched all episodes and can't understand classic references in the modern episodes
Oh, don't. Just don't. It's not okay to No True Scotsman the fandom. Just, no.
Are there great parts of Classic Who? Absofreakinglutely. Do people HAVE to like Classic Who to be a fan? Hell, no. And this is coming from a Whovian since the 1970s. I am telling you this is NOT okay.
@MaryAnnNytowl sorry about my comment it's just that someone told me that i know nothing about Doctor Who when i literally watched Classic Who before the 9th doctor and I'm only 20 i started watching at 15
@@lunaticpinoy So, someone said something that made you feel bad, even though it wasn’t applicable to you, so you went online to say the same exact thing that made you feel bad to other people, for what? To make other people feel bad so you can feel better? I hope you have better coping skills out in the real world
@@Hoodwinkle you're right, i shouldn't have even commented that...
@@lunaticpinoysad thing is, as one who hasn’t seen but a handful of classic Who episodes, I can’t go back and watch because there are all the missing episodes. I would love to own the whole collection - I don’t think I would ever get tired of watching this series, but 😢
To many I like latest 12th Pete allso David tennent Jodie Whittaker Tom backer Peter Davison John pewter going pc now with the times wait and see if 15th good
Spelling 😮
Bare in mind Jodie wasn't a proper DW.
I don't think you are exactly speaking the King's English.
