Thanks for sharing the latest styles with a Gen Xer. I used to buy worn-out Levis at cheap thrift stores like the Goodwill in Seattle back in the mid-'90s for a few bucks. My former BFF and I would spend all day searching the city for the perfect men's 501 button fly jeans (generally a 30 x 30 would fit) and not tailor them as that's what belts were for and platforms fixed the extra length issue. I wish I'd saved all of them. I could be making a fortune off of Gen Zs borrowing our look from back in the day. 😂 Much appreciation for going full circle with a twist. Btw, I like the tailored vintage jeans best on you. 😊
Omg! I live in Orange County so I'll definitely be checking out your tailor! I have so many pairs of vintage denim I've found that are too big and I'm worried about going to just a typical tailor
Hey luv! I'm pretty sure those Levi's were the Ribcage Straight leg. The Ribcage Wide Leg are a different fit but you should totally try those!!! I have a pair of the Ribcage Wide Leg and they fit me great but I'm pretty lanky and they run small so I'd def recommend sizing up. You should definitely check out the High Loose and the High Loose Taper by Levis as well. I feel like you'd love them :)

I feel like it’s becoming too common to go to the thrift store and buy sizes that aren’t our size leaving people who are actually that size left with fewer options. It’s important to consider them when buying especially those larger sizes! 💛
What is that white label on the back of your Levi’s and also, what is the style of the vintage black gap. I am also 5.1” and I feel the struggle with jeans, but this video helped a lot, thank you girlie and stay well !
The white tag are Redone denim - super pricey... I totally think you gan get the same vibe with thrifted denim and done at your local tailor. And the gap... I'm not too sure... sorry!!
I have a really good tailor but have difficulty telling her how much to do and always end up with major wedgies. I’d love to know how she takes in huge jeans and makes them fit you so well.
