Fleece is easier to clean in my opinion but if it’s warm a lot wherever you live I recommend aspen or bedding as it won’t be as hot ❤️ good luck with your piggies there lots of fun

@@carlachan903 we have two males and have been using paper bedding.., but it’s so expensive because guinea pig cages are really big (we have a 2x4 C&C cage).. I’m in the process of making fleece cage liners and pee pads.. it costs more up front, but you save a lot of money in the long run.
@@carlachan903 I think the girl that has the You Tube channel Spueaky Dreams makes and sell fleece items.. but if you have a sewing machine and want to make your own, I suggest buying some Uhaul blankets and use it as the middle layer with fleece on top and bottom.. some even use 2 layers of uhaul.. if you wan5 them to be waterproof, buy a breathable waterproof mattress protector… Good luck!

With any water bottles not just Kaytee or fill the water bottle with a little bit of air on the top put it on the cage and hold the nipple nosile thing until air comes up to the top it will just be bubbles and it should not leak just do it every time you fill it!!

for anyone who can't get their pee stains off plastic or in the cage etc, use vinegar specifically ättika. ättika is the swedish term so if u translate it to english u should get a result. Its natural ingredients and u just let it sit for like a minute and then its all gone. recommend for anyone that has a trouble with old pee stains on plastic or wood

Hii, I'd just like to say it's pretty much impossible to fully litter-train guinea pigs but a good idea is to get a large cat litter pan and put all their hay in that and usually when they're eating hay they'll poop and pee in there! You can put some bedding (paper or Aspen, whichever works for you!) And just clean that area out :) it may minimize the mess around the cage!

I got my bore neutered 2 days ago because umm we didn’t know he was a boy so we went from 4 pigs to 8. He’s chewing on the bars trying to get to them it’s very sad
Instead of fleece in ur litter box, try newspaper. With newspaper on the bottom you can just roll up the whole thing to clean. Then put a fresh layer of newspaper then hay on top that.
the triangle litterbox is a downgrade trust me. square ones are much better because they will poop everywhere around the litterbox and eat outside it instead of sit in it and poop. Ur just gonna wanna throw that shit away and get a square cat litterbox instead
i could not give my piggies toilet roll tubes for a while because one time I did one of my piggies got her head stuck in it and we couldn't get her out for a while, now they are bigger so i give them to them again!

I have the same cow print liners and noticed the urine stains yours have. I’m going through my first use of these liners right now so im curious. Does your stains wash out once you take them out the washer? Any tips for cleaning that specific fleece set?
I have bunnies and I hate throwing their hay and paper litter into a garbage bag. It just feels so wasteful. I used to live in the forest and I would just put all of it out in a compost heap. I'm not really sure what to do with it now that I moved to the city though. I'm thinking about getting an indoor compost compactor thingy.

Before researching a lot, my Guinea pigs (they have past away 😔) used to lay on news paper instead of fleece and I would feed them iceberg lettuce! 😢 I did use hay tho! 😭I rlly regret not researching first

I don’t suggest getting the make pig neutered because I had a male guinea pig once and he got neutered and they are such little and delicate animals that he didn’t make it so unless you wanna take that risk I recommend u don’t do that and just get another boy pig if possible

I highly recommend a wooden bendy-bridge, even you get a size too small for guinea pigs they LOVE chewing on the wood. I had to get one for each of my boys and they still destroyed them (:

I don’t quite think that your male guinea pig would die of depression. I currently have a male guinea pig who is very very very happy after his brother passed away I think because male guinea pigs always have like an attitude and mostly want to be left alone they don’t really bother my girl guinea pigs too so when he’s alone the chances of him passing away or getting depression is very low. other than a girl, guinea pig be left alone for a long period of time without a partner or another, guinea pig.

Hi if you want guinea pig advice watch guinea pig jungle or guinea dad or Saskia at LA guinea pig rescue centre , guinea dad sells guinea pig liners ect for useful information watch them on RUclips or Instagram . For your guinea pig tunnel you can either put a pillow case inside so they don't hurt their feet or fleece liners you can get small fleece blanket , just a idea for you . Hope this information helps you
Do not worry about a friend for him, yes by all means if you get him one but no need. As long as they are close by each other for company, all will be perfectly fine. I have two boys living side by side, they fight if together. They are great, they chatter, they tough through the bars, they sleep next to each other but not all the time. They equally love their own space, eat, pee, poo and popcorn happily. Then I have two more sets of boys, they are bonded pairs.

YES! Guinea pigs stink if their cage isn’t daily cleaned (not deep clean but vacuuming up most the poop). Their is nothing you can do to avoid the smell besides that. If you don’t want to do that daily, give them their own room (:
My piggie's cage actually smelled most if the time like hay which i liked, and sometimes a bit of her pee (maybe mixed with poo), and that was the time to clean it properly. But it wasnt like a whole room, but when you came close to cage
Hi! I have four pigs in my bedroom and the smell isn’t noticeable at all! However in order to maintain that I spot clean daily, put all old poo and hay in a closed and locked trash can, and have the levoit pet air purifier running 24/7!
I just got a regular litter box and cut a hole in it he likes to hide in his hay so i got a big litter box he loves it but i have to clean it out every two days
my guinea pig heard the squeaks in the beginning and decided to come out of his house and start wheeking too

OXBOW is the BEST brand! I only use their guinea pig food and Hay for my boys.

I use oxbow hay pellets treats and some of their hay toys, my boy loves the carrot shaped one

For the first toy (the twig tunnel) you can but some fleece on the bottom if your woried about them getting there nails stuck/cut

please remove the twig tunnel, my guinea pigs foot got caught in it and it started bleeding and they died. PLEASE do not risk it.
lol i have that activity wall. the screws (even with the backing) are smaller than the squares in the grids so you can just pop them through
Don't use anything fabric wise in there litter box. Just use a "litter" woof pellets or shavings covered with hey and that's it.
I love this💕 but water bowls are a bit better bc water bottles are to small and it's harder for them to get water. Just trying to help🤍🙃🙂

YES! Guinea pigs stink if their cage isn’t daily cleaned (not deep clean but vacuuming up most the poop). Their is nothing you can do to avoid the smell besides that. If you don’t want to do that daily, give them their own room (:
My piggie's cage actually smelled most if the time like hay which i liked, and sometimes a bit of her pee (maybe mixed with poo), and that was the time to clean it properly. But it wasnt like a whole room, but when you came close to cage

Hi! I have four pigs in my bedroom and the smell isn’t noticeable at all! However in order to maintain that I spot clean daily, put all old poo and hay in a closed and locked trash can, and have the levoit pet air purifier running 24/7!
I just got a regular litter box and cut a hole in it he likes to hide in his hay so i got a big litter box he loves it but i have to clean it out every two days
