Hi Maria, when is that webinar you mentioned please. Thank you!
Thanks for Information regarding legal practice in UAE. Is there any age restrictions to join law firm in UAE for Indian senior lawyers?
Can you do one on what courses i can do to increase my prospects in dubai
Maria, thank you so much for this video! So helpful! I just wanted to confirm something: I graduated with a UK law degree (but have not qualified as a UK lawyer because I haven't done the bar exam or the training contract). I am 25, and start work with a local law firm next month. So, in my case, all I need to qualify as UAE lawyer (legal consultant) as a foreign law graduate is to just have one year experience? I haven't checked if Cambridge University is accredited here, but I'm just assuming it is. Any help would be appreciated and thank you for this amazing video! I'm a new subscriber :)
Hi Maria. I'm a law graduate in Italy but I never had 1 year of practice with a law firm as I followed a different career path. I would like to work as lawyer in a corporate in Dubai. Do you suggest to do 1 year practice in my country and then start working in Dubai or can I move to Dubai straight and do the practice there? Thank you!
I am a Sri lankan Attorney who has 10 years of experience in civil litigation. Have a State Unversity degree in law and a diploma in legal studies. What are my chances in landing a job at least as a para legal. I am 39 years of age?. Will my Age be a problem? I am also a Member of the Sri Lanka Bar Association.
Hi Maria!
Firstly, thank you for the informative videos, they are truly helpful!
What are the necessary steps I should to take to become a qualifying solicitor in the UAE with a LLB degree from the UK? I'm slightly worried at the moment with all these daunting applications for vacation schemes and training contracts - I don't even know if this is the way to go if I want to work in UAE after graduating.
Seeking advice.
Yours, Sulaiman
Hi Sulaiman, text me to maria@rubertpartners.com please. Thank you

I would like to know what are the duties of an international business Lawyer that gets transferred to an American law firm's branch which is located in a foreign country. I would want to know the duties of such a lawyer in general. Do they litigate, do they work in a transactional way, do they do business deals or what do they do in a foreign branch of an American law firm? The reason for these questions is because currently I just graduated with my bachelor's degree, I'm studying for the LSAT and I want to become an international lawyer specializing in international business.
Interesting question. Soon there will be a video about day to day of lawyers but sharing my experience, of course...I will try to prepare a video from the perspective of an international lawyer working abroad. Thanks a lot for this!
Is there any upper age limit also before which a lawyer should get register in Dubai ? Please explain.
Hello Aftab, I do not think so but visa processing may be an issue as after 65 very very difficult.
My country doesn't have a UAE embassy. The only embassy in my country from the gulf country ls Saudi Arabia, most people coming tend to complete their legislation in the Saudi Arabia consulate. I don't know if Saudi embassy cam validate for UAE. Thank you
I'm unsure of the document that you are trying to legalise but you should contact the Embassy that you think that is closest for confirmation. MOFA page should be of help in this respect.
Please help me I am Bank advocate in India as penele Advocate

hello can you become an english court reporter in dubai? if so, what are the steps. I tried looking for youtube videos but they dont have any about this topic
The issue that I see is the language barrier to get to the cases as soon as they are out. We lawyers have databases but usually it takes a bit of time until cases are translated.
Helllooo loved your video , I have a question is it better to study law in English or Arabic in the UAE?
English
I want to become a lawyer but am from Abu Dhabi what do you recommend with what should I begin with I'm in my last year of senior high school.?

Hi, do I need to read and write Arabic to become a lawyer in Dubai?
a legal consultant no need, but if you plan to help attorneys (barristers) with pleas etc you should be good at Arabic -)
Where can i find the accredited university list?
From which website can I inquire about my university?
Can a sixty yrs old person doing legal side in a law firm in Dubai?
What do you mean by legal side. 60 still good to get a visa but as this 60 year old approaches 65 and over it may become difficult
Mam kindly I am law graduate from pakistan now in Dubai kindly share pathway for me in dubai in legal segment
Throw as many CVs and cover letters as you can and build as much experience as you can. First two years should be full of humble work
Is there any age limit to become a lawyer in Dubai
I would expect the answer to be based on immigration laws and regulations and visa applications, usually are processed with difficulty (unless proper reason) for above 65-70
only emirati lawyer can see the Judge no other Nationality And 95% u lose the case coz u must pay court fees.
Hello Maria may I know how to reach out to you ?

I am a lawyer of Bangladesh l want l will lawyer of Dubai
Wonderful, I am lawyer from the Nepal, wish to come Dubai and visit you, Kindly provide me your office address.
Do you speak Arabic?
can you be a lawyer in UAE or Saudi Arabia or Qatar or Oman? my honest answer is NO ! Arab countries have Islamic Sharia and Arab culture and traditions play bigger role in laws which are tribal laws in general and seriously weird laws bcuz they are based on Arab culture and traditions and customs ! Women rights and children rights and minorities rights and social rights and political laws are 360 times different then the Internationally recognized American or British or Europe laws ! civil system is totally different! example :
- Women rights : children born from local women but forighn fathers are called Abna al mowatenaat meaning children of local women and they recieve half rights of locals according to there tribal culture and traditions and Jozor al Qamar and nationality is complicated and women cant go out of her home and drive and educate and travel without her male guardians approval called Mehram and women receive half male inheritance and cant marry and divorce herself but needs permission of her male guardians and much much more weird laws which are totally tribal and desert and Arab beduoin laws ! its not an ideal nation to work as a lawyer ! GCC is failed. only fellow Arabs can work as lawyers there except them no! you need to study Arab laws approved by the Arab league without understanding Beduin tribal system of culture you cant be a lawyer in Dubai or Duha or anywhere else in GCC and Arab world.
