  • This detailed & educational watch repair video covers the Breitling Chronomat ref. 013352, running the beautiful ETA 7750 Valjoux automatic chronograph movement.
    You will see a step by step tutorial in which will be explained how to completely disassemble this lovely timepiece. Whilst you are watching, you can clearly state this automatic chronograph movement is up for a professional maintenance.
    Starting with the removal of the sturdy Breitling Chronomat watch bracelet, over the stripdown of the ETA 7750 Valjoux, to the very last part to be removed… the sliding pinion! Each part is named and numbered, so if you want to try this yourself and you need a replacement you can easily order it, without any mistake.
    In the next 2 videos, the re-assembly and greasing of the essential parts will be covered. Also, the fitting of a nice crisp mainspring! With the finished result of a clean and revived ETA 7750, powering the astonishing Breitling Chronomat ref. 013352 for many years to come!
    Thanks for watching and don’t hesitate to give a ‘thumbs up’!

    I can NOT believe that this doesn’t have over 1 million views. This 4 part helped me get my Super Avenger come back to life after water damage. But what is the thick oil/grease? Thin 9010, medium 9104, but the third?

    Thank you Dimitri for your videos! Greetings from Russia! I live in a small city, I am professionally engaged in repairing watches, but I did not dare to repair such a complex watch as the 7750. But thanks to you, I recently renovated my first Brightling.

    I just gained a lot more love and respect of my Fortis Spacematic Chronograph 625.22.141 . I will have it serviced and I will expand my small collection with a Marathon JDD. If I get lucky I'll get the Marathon CSAR.A hammer of a watch. That's my plan for the near future on the watch area .

    Seems a shame to have provision for the day function, but not to use it in the watch design. Do you think this is to keep cost down, and have the same watch available across different language regions?

    Thank you for the video, I'm about to dive into a 7750 movement to find out why it's hard to wind and why the crown doesn't want to push back in all the way. Sometimes I have to pull it out and push it back in a few times to get the watch to start ticking again. What would cause this problem?

    Добрый вечер Дмитрий, нахожусь далеко от вас, обращусь с просьбой, часы breitling navitimer 24h механика, сбился хронометр, сначала останавливалась на указателе 15 минутах, теперь на указателе 45 мин, подскажите как откалибровать хронометр или будет необходимо посещение мастерской/сервиса? Буду признателен за подсказку, на сколько знаю какими-то запудренными комбинациями кнопок можно откалибровать стрелки. Благодарю за понимание. У нас с сервисами тяжеловатый случай, как можно решить проблему с наименьшим сопротивлением?

    Hi! What technique would you recommend for removing the chronograph hand from a vintage watch? Thanks.

    • @therealwatchdoctor
      @therealwatchdoctor  3 года назад

      Hello Stachu, I know that the chronograph hand is difficult to remove because it need to be well secured on the chronograph wheel. I have a special vintage tweezer for that, and I will show that in another video when i'm do my next stripdown off a chronograph. Thanks for watching.

    Hello Dimitri,
    Great video tutorial! I have subscribed. I have a question, not sure if I ask here or if you have an email. In any case, I’ll try here first. After doing the strip down of the dial side, I am now dismantling the chronograph section but am running into some trouble. The movement I am working on is an Omega 1152. When it comes time to remove the chronograph wheel, it does not come out. The chronograph wheel shaft has a sleeve on the end of it that does not allow the shaft to come through the tube. Not sure how to remove this item. It seems to be pressed in. Any tips that you are able to share? Thank you again and keep up the good work!

    • @stephensemenchuk9805
      @stephensemenchuk9805 3 года назад

      So, for anyone reading, the impediment was actually the chronograph sleeve which separated from the chronograph hand. Be very careful when removing the Chrono hand. I used a presto remover and it yanked the hand off the sleeve. I think this needs to be called out clearly in the video. Probably should have used levers for the hand removal procedure. In any case, I was able to mate the hand back to the sleeve using Loctite red. Fortunately, my Chrono hand was also red so the repair is not obvious unless under magnification.
