#ETA7750 #WatchService #Tutorial #Assembling #Oiling
Fantastic work, great video👏👏👏
Wonderfull guide with all step detailed (oiling too). The best I have seen
Thanks to this guide now my 7750 run with an amplitud of 310 in all position.
I like this video and music in background very nice 👍🙂📸📷🎶🎵
Thanks :-)
Thanks Dimitri. Very high quality work and teaching and will be an invaluable reference to me when I try my hand with this movement.
Excellent video and instructions!
Thank you
Excellent video. I like that you can't overstress that over lubrication is not good. I see many watches "swimming" in oil, and the owner wonders why it doesn't work properly even though it was recently serviced.
Excellent image quality, skilled assembly and informative narration. Another fine work from you sir.
Stay strong and hope you guys get through the pandemic.
Thanks for the nice words Tom. Same for you.
Great video Damitri
Just re-watching this series for about the third time.
Really impressive macro filmmaking with great details on what you’re doing and why.
One think I’d like to ask is if we could have a video more in depth of your servicing oiling procedures on why you use which oil where and the reason behind this and why something would need a certain oil or if the part doesn’t actually require lubricants.
Many thanks
Richard
The best repair education👍
Thanks man!
Are ETA Vj 7750 movement only in a chronograph style watch with 3 pushers?? Want to purchase watch labeled vj 7750 , only has 1 crown & date… no sec minute or hour markers. Maybe seller made mistake. @@therealwatchdoctor
thank you very much
Awesome repair man.
Thanks again!
Nicely illustrated, good video :)
Thank you Torleif, i hope you will enjoy the rest of this series.

Mooi! Blijf gezond!!!
Bedankt Mikey!
We doen ons best om zo veel als mogelijk binnen te blijven. Gelukkig heb ik hier nog werk genoeg liggen om mij te kunnen bezig houden. Stay safe!

Dear Watch Doctor, I am impressed by your perfect work! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! I have a question: ETA recommends HP 1300 and HP 1300-SC for different regions. I´d like to use HP 1300 for a service but can´t really see a reason to buy HP 1300-SC additionally just because it is colorless. Is there an argument to have both? Or is it just fine to only have the HP 1300 (for the service of course in addition with the 9010, the 9504 etc.)?
Thank you very much for your help!
Hello Jan, good question, I think the colorless version of HP 1300 is really not necessary. I don't use it.
@@therealwatchdoctor Thank you very much for your answer!! Keep up with your perfect work and I really appreciate you´re sharing your skills generously with us!!
SC is used on the jewels where you can see them through an open case back.
Otherwise, no need to have two of the “same” oil.
Thanks for your work. Just bought fortis B-42 chrono with similar movement. It appears that the winding stem sits like in 2nd position (visually, not tight with the case) the watch though works ok. +/- 5sec per 24 hours. What is wrong here? Thanks
Hi, do you treat both the cap jewel and the in setting with epilame, or only the cap jewel? Also, any oil applied between the intermediate setting wheel and the setting lever jumper?
Hello Brian, Yes in the video i did, but it's not nessasary. Only treat the cap jewel with epilame that's ok, and be sure the in setting jewel is clean. Indeed, there is a small quantity oil needed between the setting wheel and setting lever jumper => HP-1300, sorry this was not filmed!
Can you leave the chronograph run all the time on the 7750?
Can I ask, what brand the jar is you use for your epileme? And where did you buy it?
I checked out the 'hourglass' shaped ones... he want 110-160 euro for those!
Paddy
Dear sir, my 2nd wheel jewel is damaged, can you tell me where I can order these? Also whom do you use for your main spring (where to buy them?)..kind regards out o f Norway.
Can you tell me what type of cleaning solution do you use. Here we use alcohol based.
For that I use 'L&R watch rinsing solution' (in second and third bath) but you can also use Isopropyl alcohol (much cheaper!)
@@therealwatchdoctor thanks sir.
How much does a repair/ maintenance like this cost?
What do you charge to service a ETA 7750 Valjoux?
Depend on the general condition of the timepiece, most of the time around $395 in total.
@@therealwatchdoctor I really enjoy your videos! Thank you for taking the time to get back to me.
5:21 why do you apply oil this far off the center? you should drop the oil just where it meets the inner circle? the crown wheel doesn't even touch the oil under.
Hello JayB29, in this case there was contact with the oil, which you can also see on the video. Also because you often see wear in this place. For me it depends on which watch and what wear has already occurred. But maybe you are also right.
