Yessss you know how long I trying to remember the name of this machine, I spend a lot of Friday nights and a small fortune playing this game back in the 80's
Played the Hyperball machine near a campground out of Colorado Springs (in Manitou) during college summer school. Ended up filling all of the top scores with my initials! Went back about 6 years later on a trip. I still had the top three high scores, and number 5! What a fun game!
Thanks for posting this... I was thinking about this game the other night for some reason, and couldn't remember the name. It's been 30 years since I last played it, but it was like seeing an old friend! What fun. I really liked the creativity that Williams showed with this game. And of course those great Williams sounds!
I used to work on this 'pinball' game 30 years ago, loved it, balls flew everwhere some hit the glass, some even hit what you were trying to hit lol. Only prob was the Archimedes feed would jam with the balls, mainly through clearance issues, Williams had the inside curve on sound and fury over many games - there's a marketing tagline "sound and fury" :-)
This game looks crap when it is next to a Theatre of Magic Pinball machine...would probs be even cooler if it was somewhere else loll...still...it's pretty cool from a kids perspective :-D

Saw a Hyperball at a "Zapcon" retro gaming convention a few weeks ago. It was wonderful to give this ultra-rare machine a few plays.
Never have seen one in person, looks totally fun and awesome!

Yeah, I had the same problem at the local arcade, the ball jams. Like the balls expanded more from the heat than the shooters.
This is such a cool game! I need to get mine back from storage SOON!
That game sure makes a lot of noise
It's still cool though!
Mad isn't it!
This is WIlliams answer to Bally's Rapid Fire? Or had Williams already bought out Bally by this time and this is a sequel of sorts?
Well, if I'm not mistaken, Williams' Hyperball came first, and Bally copied the idea.
@Paulywint You’re not wrong!!!!!
What would one of these go for these days? Refurbished?
A year later I finally got mine back :-)
Do you still have this?
This one went to Italy but I have another :-)
tattyadams
I'm glad to hear that.
