    Lovely photos, gorgeous colours and great compositions. Also really appreciate the insight into the thought process that went into creating them. I actually love the wider view here as well 3:45; those clouds are just painterly magical, so beautifully captured! Love the measured use of pastel tones in the final edits with plenty of good colour and definition but none of it over the top - unlike so many photos posted to social media and landscape photography forums online: most people go overboard and the photos end up looking unnatural.

      Thank you very much for your kind words, and I'll agree with you that these day so many people over-process their photos. I try to keep it as realistic as possible.

    Hey Charles nice shots and description as to why you shot them. I have and do like that lens came with my D 7500 but use it on the D80 most of the time. Thanks again fr Canada

      Thank you, this is very much an underrated lens, so many "Pro Photographers" say that this lens is not good, but if you use it within it's preferred aperture range, you'll get great photos with it.

    Hello Charles, I really like this shot and would like to give it a go while I’m here in Gulf Shores, Alabama. I’m shooting a D7500 and have this same lens. I typically shoot birds but I want to expand my skills in landscape. Question; can you share what ND filter you are using..brand and level? Thank you for these videos!

    I'm thinking of buying a D7200 with this lens. or a new EOS RP with the 24-105. Which do you think would be better?

    • @CharlesNPhotography
      @CharlesNPhotography  2 года назад +2

      I've never used Canon gear so can't comment on that camera, but the D7200 is a great camera and using the the 18-140mm will give you a nice setup for just about any type of photography

    I bought a 18-140mm Nikon and it is a great lens, bought grey market, less than half price new.

      That's great, the 18-140mm lens is a very much under-rated lens

    Wondering should I get this lens for landscape photography on Nikon D3400 or an uprgrade camera to Nikon Z50 with 16-50mm & 50-250mm kit lens. What does anybody think?

    • @CharlesNPhotography
      @CharlesNPhotography  3 года назад +2

      Well, if you've got the $$ then upgrade to the Z50 as it's much newer and has a better processor. But if your low on $ then the 18-140mm lens will get you some nice photos.

    Nice photos! I have the 18-135mm Nikon, no VR. It's Ok but not super sharp. Is it worth upgrading to the 18-140mm?

      It just depends on what you want, I've not looked at reviews to that lens.
