It works on some dogs Ive tried it. My dog gets upset when I say shot like that to him. If in the car, hell lower his head and lay down. At home he'll walk away as if to say "I don't need this". 😂
Well yeah because they respond to your tone of voice.
It seemed to me like the dog is thinking: “Aw, Man! Not this crap again...”

I could see how it actually could. The dog would not understand all those words, of course, but they are good at reading people's emotions. The tone of voice, the facial expressions, all that could alert the dog that the guy who feeds them is mispleased.

Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ruclips.net/user/postUgkxECnmSvBSv_NGWx4_ChD73pF3NYZwI2F3 and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

Will Farrell Era, quite possibly the best ever in SNL history. My opinion.
I watch his show every saturday and bought the book ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGQVgV21bQ7B9b9duQ1ByImyT9xHbjOKq because i like his method. He's very talktative in the book about his dog training experiences with several different breeds over the years. When he does get to the training chapters, you need to read more slowly, take mental or written notes and try to apply his advice to your pet. That's where i'm at now. Another review is in order aftet i've trained my blue mountain shepherd with brandon mcmillan's method.
One of their best skits in every sense. That's some A+++ quality writing and Will's dead-eyed delivery is flawlessly executed.
Totally agreed. I’m not sure if everyone appreciates the level of Will’s talent in this sketch. He sells it so perfectly.

bwy, Will's salary was a record nearly 20 years ago because he was the senior-most member and salaries were increasing. Colin Jost now makes well over Will's old salary and is the highest paid, perhaps with Michael Che. does that mean he's the only one who could "get away with a skit like this"? stupid to bring money into this conversation. just say Will did a great job and leave it at that.

The words mean nothing to them. They sense the tone and intent from somewhere inside us. Makes sense - sarcasm just causes them to leave, feels unfriendly.

claire gheill actually cats are really good at picking up what your saying. Just like if you spend enough time with a cat you can often tell what their meows mean.

I actually looked that up lol. Long story short I went down a rabbit hole on extinct dog breeds. There's no fighting beagle per say but there used to actually be an extinct breed of Mexican fighting dog. Correct me if I'm wrong but they looked like huge Staffordshire bull terriers, built almost like monster trucks too lol. Was an interesting read

I have a 3 year old pit-mix. Whenever he occasionally barks outside and causes a ruckus, I go out back and calmly but sternly ask him:
"Hey! What are you doing?"
He quickly gets the message that I do not approve and finds something else to do that isn't so loud...
He's a great dog, doesn't even scratch at the door or bark when he wants inside. He will sit patiently and wait for hours to be noticed and let in.
I sometimes talk to him like a person and he moans and yawns like he has something to say but can't find the words...😄
Dogs are a treasure.

I have been searching for a 70’s/80’s SNL bit called forever kittens or forever puppies where they give kids puppies but when it gets older and less cute, they pull up this garbage truck and throw them in and replace them. It’s so damn funny. Can not find it.
