Bro as a kid when the real Davros appeared in his classic form I was so satisfied. Forever one of the best DW villains of all time! First time we see any indication of the Daleks Flying!
Only one human guard and no Daleks. It should have been obvious to an assassin that something wasn't right. However, as Davros mocked Orcini later, he was old and his reflexes had gone. Part of the story, it proved Orcini wasn't as good as he believed, at least not at this point. Clever storywriting showing characters' weaknesses as part of the overall plot.
I imagine during the war between his people (the Kaleds) and the Thals on ancient Skaro, he endured quite a few assassination attempts and kicked some ass at the expense of his would be assassins.
@@girlgarde no need to imagine. The audio series _I, Davros_ depicts his frontline service and a few assassination and abduction attempts (both before and after he ends up in the life support chair). It also features Davros’ mother, father, sister, and kinda-sorta-girlfriend. Turns out his family and social lives were pretty messed up too, his healthiest relationship in the series is his professional one with Nyder lmao
@@Cybermat47 Dad was never present. Sister always buttedheads heads and eventually tried to sabotage him. Mom....Let's just say that Davros's Pyscopathac personality was either inherited from or triggered by her. Killed his dad. Killed his best freind. Killed his sorta girlfriend. Fed a mother to her mutated child..... Davros's life was absolutely buggered city from beginning to present.
These Daleks were built from scratch on Necros using Human remains, which could explain the differences in voice As for the behind-the-scenes explanation for the Dalek voice, I'm not entirely certain, but its possible that this was another on-set voice modulation similar to the original voices from Day of the Daleks. All the best Dalek voices in Classic Who were done by the radiophonic workshop, and any the RW didn't do always ended up sounding worse
@@dalekbumps It was apparently Graeme Harper’s decision to use less distortion with the voices here, possibly because the Necros daleks are made from human remains. That explanation holds up until the Skaro daleks arrive and sound exactly the same.
This is actually the original version so yes the hovering effect was in the original. Was slightly updated in the special edition which included a number of optional new or updated effects.
@@IAmPegasus Thank you for the reply. Yes - I watched the episode in question the other night in original form, and the "hovering effect" was there - foreshadowing the famous scene in McCoy's famous Dalek outing.
Seems like davros seen the return of the Jedi episode of Star Wars
I guess he sees himself as Emperor Palpatine or something.....

Great scene from a great story. So much action and Davros is such a badass. He actually dodged the knife!
Cool to see Davros genuinely kick somebody's ass

That’s why you use an RPG to kill Davros or a grenade launcher.

1:24 damn they shot his leg off lol
Tbf, it was an artificial leg - someone had already shot the original off lol
This looks like a scene from a Doctor Who spin-off comic book where Davros is the main character.
I would love that like a short series that have Davros as the main character in my opinion
UNLIMITED RICE PUDDING!!!
Great story, a bona fide Who classic
What’s that ah remove that object “
Imagine what the daleks would have sounded like if they had been created by Bob Ross instead of Davros.
Mechonoids, they'd have sounded like Mechonoids
Why do the Daleks have no voice modulation at all 💀💀💀
