I owned a new 1973 Avenger GT 1500cc (two door). The build quality was the very worst I have ever known before or since. However, once out of warranty I sorted it. The performance was improved with Dellorto twin 40's, competition exhaust, electronic ignition, some head work etc. 175 x 13" types replaced the std 155's. It revved to 7500 with ease and reputedly to 8000 in standard bottom-end form. Traction and road holding were excellent.
The Car sounds Awesome and is totally geared right for that track with the use of First gear in that tight Right hander. Lovely machine.
