This track brings back so many memories. I first heard it at Tunnel in 97. Junior owned the night life around that time. He was releasing hits after hits. when I was hired to be one of the residents at Tunnel later that year, I played it and it was truly magical. Miss those days.
how lucky i am to found a dj like junior, grace felicity, love tear of joy!!!!!!! change my humors feeling everythings inside soul spirit dance dance love dance!!! thanks junior
Junior is a wizard with a mixer and Dolly's voice is otherworldly; a combination that I am glad that happened. This song gives me cold chills everytime I listen to it.
Sunday mornings all tore up leaving THE FACTORY and going to TWILO....those were the days, hated seeing that sun though, walking the streets of NYC, tore up from the floor up......LOVED IT!
This is a nostalgia bomb for me. I was newly out of the closet and new to NYC in the mid 90’s and this was one the hottest dance anthems in the legendary clubs of the era, Arena, Splash, Twilo, Twirl, Tunnel, Club USA, Limelight, The Roxxy, Sound Factory, and even Throb and Stutz out in Westchester County. I was fortunate to hear Junior Vasquez spin live in NYC during a time when I was a “twenty something” and living what I thought was my best life!!!!
I always listened to country music until 1997...I thought I'd switch and try to be more hip. My roommate had this tape in the living room stereo player so I turned it on...I thought..."I don't think I can get in to this. Maybe I should go back to country"...then I hear Dolly singing and I just started laughing..."It's going to be alright now"
My first visit to NY IN 89 I fortunately got to visit The Tunnel. That night there was a surprise guest. It was Chaka Kahn. When she came out to the middle of the floor I about died with excitement. She was a mere 5 feet from me. One of the most memorable nights of my life!!
All i can say about this song is MAN does this bring back so MANY memories of my clubbing days...!!! I was quite "the dish" back then and i usually don't go around tooting my own horn. What the hell happened to this old queen now i'll never know...;) LOL
i have been looking for this song for 9 years.....brings back so many memories. i wanna cry so bad right now!!!!!! i miss u Toyia and Tina. Ft. Sill forever!!!!!!
@@Discodancez oh yes ........ they need to have a party somewhere for people from that time. we are old now .... id never go to clubs now anyway but it would be incredible to be with people like me and relive these great times. Life was so much easier then. Everyone got along and was happy for the most part. So glad we got to experience that time.
God the ending gives me chills nothing short of magical my experience was in twilo and more like working the accapella in the beginning then dropping the track yes that nyc mixing
Why dont they do this today country singers why not thier are not good like the legend Dolly!!..Even todays rockers love the legend Dolly even Robert Plant love Dolly and Whitney!
Joshua Chance haha nice. danny.. or victor in this case. im too young but i know. never got to hit twilo or factory etc. my dad did all that tho i started late 07 08 =[
@FEENIXBABE wish i could have been there! ive always loved reading about what NYC night life was like back in the day, i just sniff a popper, let the music take me, and imagine i was there
How long does it take to put together a house of worship? How long does it take for you to figure out where one is? If it were right under you, would you even know it? No matter what kind of House of Worship, a House of Worship is a House of Worship where two or more may gather.
Junior was warped. He had Dolly singing "be straight!". Ungripped gays on drugs will turn on this vibe. I've been clean for over twenty years and it's turning me out!
@@kimakotrotman6860 possibly, but it’s clear to me what she’s saying, and as junior is gay, I couldn’t imagine such a controversial thing to do, especially when gay rights were so fragile at the time.. but anything is possible I guess lol
@@paulthomas3905 It's their challenge to fight for their existence. Every Junior night was usually filled with drugs and people are taking their own journey. I don't promote drug usage, but like Ayuwascha, I see their value. @@paulthomas3905 Total BS. Youre completely correct. Nobody ever thought he "warped" anything. Nobody ever, until I read this, ever thought she said anything other than Peace Train. Clean for 20 years but it sure did fuck up his brain. "Jump up on the be straight"??? LMFAOOO
We had 1/2 Hawaii 1/2 African visitors at our dinner table in the middle of Texas. You guys are spending time plotting and planning and spending your wheels doing what?

My best friend introduced me to this song back in the day. Still a vibe🕺🏾
My brother who introduced me to this awesome track and DJ! THANK YOU JOHN!❤

Junior's two CD set that this song is on is one of my all time faves. It has bad ass songs from beginning to end.
