The Way of The Sith: The Apprentice kills the Master or the dies. The Master gets challenged by the Apprentice, it keeps the Master sharp and strong. This movie shows Vader trying to find a way to defeat Palpatine and a way to bury Anakin. Unfortunately, it is Anakin's loss, suffering, and rage that gives Vader his connection to the Dark Side. I view the opening sequence as Annakin/Vader's vision of trying to defeat Palpatine. Remember during Luke's training Yoda told him about visions that they are glimpses into the past, present, and possible futures. Notice in the vision Vader uses the dead Emperor's Guard body as a shield against Palpatine's Force lightening. Then notice in the live sequence, as soon as Vader enters the room, Palpatine immediately dismisses the guards (as he does in every scene in the movies), you can almost see Vader's body language saying "there goes that plan." Annakin/Vader can't come up with a way to kill Palpatine, Palpatine has Vader so psyched out and Vader doesn't know the full extent of Palpatine's powers and abilities. Remember we are talking about a guy who manipulated and mind screwed Anakin, along with the ENTIRE Jedi Order and Republic. I am looking forward to the next film.
@@SebasTian58323 probably another one planted by Sidious to reinforce his dominance over Vader. Then, knowing he just had the dream, gives him every opportunity to act on it. When Vader fails (as Sidious forsees) it's just another layer of mind control added to keep Vader docile.
This is known as the rule of 2, the rule states that there can only be 2 sith alive at a time. The master and the apprentice and then when the apprentice eventually grows more powerful that his master he he kills him and takes on an apprentice of his own thereby causing the Sith to grow more powerful with each generation. The concept started when Darth Revan spoke in his holocron that the reason why the older order of the Sith were weak was because one sith lord would take several apprentices at once and they would just gang up on him making the Sith weaker in time. Then when Darth Bane heard this he killed everyone and started the era of the rule of 2. Ironically most of the Sith of this era we know about almost always broke the rule.
Vtr Gott Exactly, so read all of my comment. “Ironically most of the era we know almost always broke this rule” Palps is a good example so is Darth Plaguis’s Master who hated his apprentice and tried replacing him several times.

I don’t think the Emperor is wanting Vader to kill him, but to kill Anakin. The chains that are binding Vader is him clinging to Anakin, so the only way Vader can kill Anakin is to give in to his hatred, because the Emperor even said to give in to the dark side fully, or forever live in the shadow of Anakin Skywalker. The Emperor knows at this moment Vader isn’t fully turned, because he is still clinging on to his memories of being Anakin
Sidious would rather Vader at least try to kill him. I'm sure he was constantly looking for a replacement. You know Maul would have eventually tried if he grew more powerful. Tyrannus would've developed an apprentice to challenge Sidious eventually too.

To explain on the conversation you guys were having around 16:16 ish, the goal of a Sith Master is to instruct his student to be better than he/she is. In this way, the only way a Sith Apprentice can become a master is if he not only learns that of what his master has learned, but surpasses that knowledge and uses it to destroy him. Then the cycle repeats. This path for the sith was started by Darth Bane who saw that the flaw the sith had as an empire was the constent infighting and struggle for political power. The sith were so focused on keeping the power they had, very few sith lords bothered to try and teach their apprentices to be better than them and as such, their apprentices are used as pawns in their quest for greater power. This is why Darth Bane chose to exterminate the sith. To bring them down so that only two would remain. A master and an apprentice. And this has been their way sense then. It was his vision that one day, by keeping this method, the Sith would be able to build and maintain a growing understanding of the dark side and then retake the galaxy for their own once reaching a point the Jedi could not contend with. Granted, he didn't even consider that it would all come to pass through political power plays and a plot against the jedi through a mass clone army that could be commanded at will to turn against the Jedi. But hay, Palp made it happen. And his former master. But that is what Palp is trying to teach Vader here. That the only way he will ever be free of Palp is if he commits to the Dark Side and seeks to overthrow his master. By doing so, He will be free of the chains that bind him. A nice nod to the Sith Code if you ask me.

The master-apprentice relationship is based on Darth Bane's 'Rule of two' where there is a master who wields the power, and an apprentice who craves it. This way the apprentice would only become the master if the apprentice was stronger than the master, meaning the Sith would always gradually become stronger and stronger to the point of nigh-omnipotence. This also eliminated the infighting Sith were plagued with back in the Old Republic era. All in all, there are less Sith in the galaxy, but those that exist are always sure to be very troubling to have as an enemy.

Great reaction and discussion. Wonderful that you did not miss what makes this fan-film Episode so great, unlike a few reactions I've seen. You've got it absolutely right. Star Wars Theory (the creator of this film) understands all of the lore, because besides films and tv animations, he has also studied many canon comics and knows what is a natural and factual story that "would unfold for real" in the Star Wars history we have not yet seen. There is a struggle with becoming Vader in the comics as well. The Rule of Two was a Sith philosophy mandating that only two Sith Lords could exist at any given time: a master to embody the power of the dark side of the Force, and an apprentice to crave it. The philosophy of two governed the Lords of the Sith for a millennium, beginning with its founder Darth Bane.
great Vader Shards of the Past Fan Film Reaction and Review video. This fan film/series is hands down better than any of the sequels and fits in the canon timeline.
The rule on two said that apprentice kills the master, that was brought on by another sith lord, but before that there were a lot of sith roaming around keeping the sith order in the galaxy.
I’m with the guy in the middle. I’ve been wanting a Star Wars film like this since ROTJ. The best part of this film for me was that it answered or explored a question I had after Revenge of the Sith. Why would Anakin stand by Sidious after Padme died which was his entire motivation for turning? I loved how it explored their relationship. It also did in 12 minutes what Rian Johnson couldn’t do in 2 1/2 hours. It showed TRAINING! We got to see Sidious teaching Vader the ways of the Sith... which was a twisted and sick concept, but that’s the Sith! Disney is stupid if they don’t hire Star Wars theory to make this content for them. Instead of taking the RUclips ad revenue from it, they should have him make official films.
For myself in this upward of fifty views And loving it every time, for myself I accept this as canon. A chapter between the stories The holding of the blaster charges, there were lots of fights for Vader between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, so those blaster charges could have been from any number of fights. I accept that he did this and accept this as Canon, to be unspoken foreshadowing of his grandson. However, the Chosen One, Anakin SkyWalker Lord Darth Vader remains so much more powerful than Emo-Ren. Thank you all so much for sharing your Star Wars love with me. Darth Reh
Guy in the Middle: the Sith master achieves a victory in the force knowing that his "lineage" of Sith "descendants" has gotten stronger. It's like them forcing evolution so the dark side grows and becomes stronger over time. They're in it for Galactic dominance over the course of centuries or millenia, which means thinking about what's best for the dark side, even beyond their own lifespan (kind of selfless in a way, the Sith are bad guys, but not necessarily selfish)
The problem with the prequels isn't the story but the execution. The fundamental story line holds up and gives a good view of how we ended up with the empire in the OT.
I like how Palpatine degraded Vader by telling Vader, Anakin, Skywalker was far more powerful in the hopes that Vader would embrace the Dark Side more to exceed the Emperors expectations but not to the level that Vader is more powerful thus enabling Palpatine to manipulate him even easier. As we know the Emperor had Vaders armor made so he's constantly in pain. What Vader should have said to the Emperor when asked why he's in "distress?"; "No Master I'm angry because this armor is painful and restrictive, in short It Sucks!" ;-)
The Emperor was just following the rule of two. He was in Vader's position under Plagueis and he can feel Vader's contempt for him. The sith masters always hold faith in their own power. They know their apprentices will want power, but they always believe they will stop them before it happens. Overconfidence and egotism. Also the only movie that holds up with this for me aside from the OT is Rogue One and the TOR Cinematics. I've never played KOTOR or watched Solo (gonna watch it on Netflix now that it;s on) so I can't comment on those story lines.
But this spectacular episode pays some homage to The Phantom Menace, so acknowledges what Lucas set up. I think the Sith feed off the hatred and anger of their opponents. The Emperor goads Vader into deeper realms of his shadow anger and feeds off it. The Emperor doesn't consider that Vader can defeat him. It doesn't enter his mindset.
Its mace windu sinces you guys were curious he has a purple saber and they thought they killed him so they need to finish what they started and he knows who vader is so it all adds up its mace windu
The rule of two started with bane so the sith order stays small and powerfull, the master has to die so the aprtentice gets stronger that wat each new master get's stronger and stronger.
The reason the apprentice has to kill the master is to ensure that the apprentice is more powerful then the master. So the sith are always gaining power and not stagnating
This is classic Star Wars and i love it..Latest news ..Disney Files CLAIM on Vader fan film and is making money from it now. Is this Disney's version of CBS v Axanar?
He says that Anakin was more powerful because Anakin’s midi chlorian count was so high that his potential was was so great. But because Vader is confined to the suit with so many cybernetics and by enough organic material to channel the Force. Vader is forever denied the potential that was once his, by birth. Stolen by his both the temptations of the Sith and the power of the Jedi.
I thought that the killing of the master was the only way the master can possess their apprentice to further live beyond their natural life span, at least I think that's what was practiced by the original syth...
Update: Disney has copyright claimed Vader Episode 1. SW Theory had gotten permission from Lucas films to make this as long as he used his own money and did not do a kickstarter or gofundme to rais money for it. and he could not monetize it. SW Theory agreed and kept to that agreement. Disney, however, did a MANUAL copyright claim on the video (this was not a RUclips algorithm doing this it was DISNEY). Disney has since monetized the video with adds and is earning money for work they did not do and that they stole from SW Theory.
Please don't tell me that you don't know the amethyst blade is Windu...go over to Star Wars Theory's channel and check out his film art photo's for Vader
And now Disney has manually issued a copystrike against it (claiming a similarity to John Williams Imperial March) and is collecting revenue from it, even though SWT himself couldn't.
Everything you said I fully agree with, except I think Revenge Of The Sith, Empire, and the end of ROTJ/Rogue One still are legendary films/moments. He did a stellar job though, no pun intended

Amythist blade = purple lightsaber. It’s Mace. And episode two will be coming when SWT (the guy behind it all) can get enough money to pay for it all, since he’s paying for everything out of his own pocket since Lucasfilm said he can’t monetise these.

Awesome reaction and great video!!! The force is strong with y’all!
Prequel hater in the middle, the clone wars and ROTS was legendary, nobody could change my mind
Everyone I've seen that reacted to this talks trash about Disney star wars...
I freaking love it.
You reaction was epic. You're right. They need to hire Danny R. as a screenwriter for the movie
I literally only clicked on this vid because of your mighty channel name lol.
Great Reaction video Fantastic Fan Film for Sure the Battle Between Darth Maul and Obi wan and the Battle with Vader in Empire Strikes Back was Fierce and Vaders attack s in Rogue Kilos Cross Bars Attacks and this was also incredibly Fierce Awesome
When you said clone wars I got worried for a second but then I rationalized it and realized you meant the movie.
Wolfe is not in the 501st. The boys in blue were Rex's men. But Rex didn't execute order 66 so I don't know who the captain would be now. Unless Rex secretly pretends he did.
Well Sergeant Appo was promoted to Commander but he was killed by a Jedi a couple months after the creation of The Empire. It's possible he's still a live in this fan film but idk.
Epic fanfilm and loved y'alls reaction
you guys are the best trio on the planet!!! Chris cracked me up big time!!! "Skywalker"
Amazing fan film yes. Cant agree its better than the prequels but, good fan film definitley. way better than any disney films
HR&R 2 Yeah this isn’t better then any of the prequels by a million, but Disney movies by far yes.
Fantastic gentlemen. Another great video
PROOF WE DON"T NEED DISNEY. :) Nice Video. MTFBWY.
LOVE the Mighty Bastards!!!
I wish you guys' analysis went on for an hour more.
@6:41 me every time I see the emperor in battlefront 2
The rule on two said that apprentice kills the master, that was brought on by another sith lord, but before that there were a lot of sith roaming around keeping the sith order in the galaxy.
Did any of y’all notice how in at the end of the close up scene in Vader’s chamber that his eyes changed from sith orange to his standard blue eyes
He calmed down
Man I'm just glad to see good lookin live action clones!
These guys speak the truth and are fuckin AWESOME. That's why I'm a loyal subscriber to E.M.B. ✊🏾
The emperors imperial guard used to wear a blue uniform. The emperor changed it to red.
Honestly cannot wait to see how far this Fan-Film gets in all honesty.
Great fan film! Loved it sooo much!
This is not better than Revenge of the Sith tho... Lol
Absolutely am thankful of Star Wars Theory! 🔥🌹🤧🌹🔥
Mace Mindu wields an amethyst blade.
For myself in this upward of fifty views
And loving it every time, for myself I accept this as canon.
A chapter between the stories
The holding of the blaster charges, there were lots of fights for Vader between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, so those blaster charges could have been from any number of fights.
I accept that he did this and accept this as
Canon, to be unspoken foreshadowing of his grandson.
However, the Chosen One, Anakin SkyWalker Lord Darth Vader remains so much more powerful than Emo-Ren.
Thank you all so much for sharing your Star Wars love with me.
Darth Reh
This helps me understand roj better
The prequel hater in the middle is talking so much bullcrap just because he is a originals fanboy.
Awesome video
Wow an amethyst blade that's Purple so maybe Mace Windu.
Nothing is better than clone wars
You guys should check out "Tie Fighter - Short Film. You guys would get a huge kick out of it.
WHERE. ARE. YOU. GUYS!?!?!?!?!
Nice reaction vid, but the guy on the right had obviously seen the vid multiple times. He kept mouthing the dialogue 😂🤣😂
The reason the apprentice has to kill the master is to ensure that the apprentice is more powerful then the master. So the sith are always gaining power and not stagnating
the rule of two sith were to kill their master and take their place either by becoming more powerful than their master or by using an apprentice.
Actually most of this plot was based off the recent Marvel Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith comics.
Amethyst means purple so the jedi is made windu. I didn't know my first time watching either lol
I also think this is best sw film since 1983
& the ligtsabre u guys r wondering about is owned by mace windu
There is a great disturbance in the force.
Its called Star Wars Episode 9
from Disney: we have no clue
did you figure out who was that jedi at the end? Hint...you can see a purple light in the smoke.
I subbed because of the name
These fingers shoot lightning for days ladies. SHAZAM!
good on ya lads!
This is classic Star Wars and i love it..Latest news ..Disney Files CLAIM on Vader fan film and is making money from it now. Is this Disney's version of CBS v Axanar?
14:48 they are A.I. confirmed lol. And dam that was an amazing fan film and was over way to fast
The Jedi on Naboo is Mace Windu
Fan made film was absolutely good enough like the original Star Wars film.
I thought that the killing of the master was the only way the master can possess their apprentice to further live beyond their natural life span, at least I think that's what was practiced by the original syth...
its mace windu the purple glow at the end reveals it
Update: Disney has copyright claimed Vader Episode 1.
This Fan Film was better then some of the movies !
I know a lot of people dislike the prequels, but the prequels are way better movies than modern Disney Star Wars films. Although, Rogue One is an acception.
Did big boy in the middle just say it’s better then Revenge of the sith? LMAO. Idk what he’s been smoking but clearly he’s a Prequel hater. Revenge of the sith is a masterpiece and probably one of the best movies. I agree with practically everything else expect him going on about this being better then Episode 3. Fool.
@Earth's Mightiest Bastards I do believe that jedi is Mace Windu
Better than revenge of the sith?? hahahahahha please
Amythist blade = purple lightsaber. It’s Mace. And episode two will be coming when SWT (the guy behind it all) can get enough money to pay for it all, since he’s paying for everything out of his own pocket since Lucasfilm said he can’t monetise these.
never hug palpatine 😂
