For anyone wondering about spine injury here is the answer
Yes it can cause some spine injuries IF you're not specially trained for this sport. If an average not trained person will try going all out in this mas wrestling competition, he will most likely get spine pains if he will even manage to hold his opponent.
People are specially trained for this sport. First of all, new mas wrestlers are building their spine strength for months or even for years. They don't go all out when they just start mas wrestling, they start slowly while building spine strength and making it more durable. Of course you also need proper technique to not get spine injuries. In your first months coach will teach you for basics and various techniques but he must not let you to compete or going all out in this sport unless you're ready for it.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask

From my 10 years experience at the Worldchampionships and World Cups, European Champions - I never heard about spine injury, but we had:broken leg, thorn biceps or Achilles, and lots of skin missing on hands.
On this level each and every single person trains a lot, even if not specifically the MasWrestling, then powerlifting, strongman and so on

The guy in red was in total advantage each time because the blue competitor had to stay way more bent ahead than the red one.
The catch was in red competitor zone.
If red competitor had to catch the blue competitor hands over the box in blue competitor territory the things were different.
