I got a "free volunteer" Jade at a store when the piece was in the coin return, it must have broken off of someone's purchase. I asked, and was given permission to take it. It took a little while, but I got it to grow roots in water, then planted it in a grow medium for a different plant kit. It is doing well for me! It is in a southern window, and I let it bottom water and pull it from the saucer when it stops drinking, or the medium is nice and dark.
@dissadatore I too got a freebie and as a new Plant Moma, I appreciate it. A small piece was lying on the ground and the associate said I could have it.☺ @monstrofarm-excellent video!!
I was at Lowe's yesterday and decided to check out their clearance items. They had several Jade plants (babies still) so I took the best two they had. As soon as I got home I sprayed them with neem oil. I didn't water them because the soil is pretty moist. Anyway I hope it works out for me (I have saved your video 😊). Excellent video and tips! TYFS 😊😊
I am trying so hard. I use a grow light for 12 hours in south facing window, changed soil to be a mix of cactus and vermiculite but I still have leaf drop and very leggy plants. Help me!
Jade plants are very easy to grow even though by 1 leaf 🍃, grow fast, they don’t like much water , shower 1 a week enough , my home have 3 big ones, when they are 2-3 years olds they will bloom in cold weather
I’ve been told to draw the tap water and let set out for 24 hours fir the additives to evaporate ,, I fill 2 watering cans where I always have plenty 🙂
I’ve been guilty of killing a plant but now I have a few from propagation and a large outdoor one I inherited. The red tips is from the sun and hasn’t hurt mine. It gets a lot of sun.
I just got a jade plant as a gift, thanks, I'll try to keep it alive, healthy & well
Good luck. 👍

hi, does extreme heat cause black leaves?.. What can i do to prevent this.
FANTASTIC VIDEO🎉
Thank you. 🙏🏻. Much appreciated.
White spots on the leaves? I heard it was from the water and is salt buildup. Do you have any idea

Try distilled water instead of tap water
Or BRITA FILTERED WATER.
In terms of pruning can I not do it now, early fall? Thanks
Really depends where you live. If it’s warm then yes.

Sun will do that to them.

My friend, have a good relationship 😊
Thank you very much. 🙏🏻
It doesnt need too much water, am failing to keep them but have too much love about them, can i get some help much better than this please!
You’re right. They don’t need a lot of water, but rather a good soaking and then rewet when soil is dry.
Do they need dirrect sunshine really!?
Yes, when grown outdoors they can be grown in full sun, but must be slowly acclimated to the higher intensity lighting.
Walmart has Jade plants for 2 bucks
That’s awesome!!
