Thanks to the developers I was given exclusive gameplay footage to share with you guys! Please note that this game is completely unrelated to the other Bodycam FPS game named "Unrecord". "BODYCAM" is an FPS multiplayer game while "Unrecord" will be a single player FPS game.
How is it "unrelated" when it is directly copying every single idea from Unrecorded? Aside from obvious helmet cam viewpoint, it's also censoring the enemy's faces just like unrecorded, which is hardly a coincidence. Unless the devs somehow contacted Unrecorded and sorted it out before release, it seems impossible to avoid the criticism of being a copycat.
@@jc_777 What? These mechanics cannot be completely copyrighted by Unrecord dev team just because they are doing them, it is literally a copy of the bodycams in many videos of police, military, etc. They warn that they are not related because they obviously look very similar, but they did things on their own without asking anything from the Unrecord developers. From now on, you're probably going to see a lot of similar games, because Unrecord's style looks too good and more people are probably going to copy them. None of Unrecord's ideas are really "ideas that would never have existed if it weren't for them", those were ideas taken from the bodycam videos on that are on the internet, they just transferred it to video games and turned out to be something really great!
Style is "realism", so whoever does it better wins. What this games lacks is walking and running realism. Get acceleration / deceleration and max speed + stamina right and you are the king. For now it's another junky-running game ;P
Camping is guarding a resource spawn point (like a weapon or ammo), and ganking people when they come to pick it up. Playing a game that has high damage models so that one or two shots put people down, and then sitting still or moving slowly so as to not attract attention......is tactical

Make it procedurally generated and have a bunch of unique events that are extremely rare. It would make for great exploration and content.
One thing I would love to see in games like this, is the added benefit to finish off someone. Let's say, thorax and headboxes are instant kills. But if you spray someone in the legs, or stomach etc, they would have a bleed out time when they fall to the ground and they could still shoot back with their weapons in that time period. That could give players the ability to properly finish off each other ("confirm your kill"). For gameplays sake, you could lets say hold down the spacebar to pass the bleed out period and get back to the game faster (if there are respawns). Basically just like the "request medic" period in Battlefield games, but you could still use your guns. Maybe this could prove to be too gory by modern standards, but I think alot of these "realistic" shooter games miss the "confirm kill", where you put a couple of more bullets in your enemy. This would give a lot more realism and immersion imo, but only assuming the hitboxes work correctly, because we don't want someone shooting back, once a 12 gauge already met their forehead. In the video we see that once they fell to the ground that means they are dead. So there are basically no benefits to "confirm the kill" by the looks of it. I really think that my idea could potentially work, although there may be a reason why no game is doing it. I am not sure, but if I remember correctly, in a COD game there is a mechanic what I just described. The only reason that does not really add to the immersion, is because the game is already very arcadey. But in realistic games, I think this could work.
Solid! Fwiw “Ready or Not” has that feature. Just because someone goes down does NOT mean they’re out of the fight. They can even play dead and then pop up to ambush you from behind. Definitely wish more shooters had that mechanic!
doesn't look real at all go look at actual first person shooting cams, doesn't look anything like this. bunch of normies are saying these games aren't even real, they think it's actual body cam footage really demoralizing to know how many people are just so unintelligent
Having good ragdoll physics for when people are shot and killed is HUGE when trying to make something feel real and immersive, and this game does that shit very well; the one big question I have about this game - and Unrecord as well - is how is the camera system going to work? Instead of it being a static camera, which makes it feel like a game as opposed to real life, the cameras in both of these games are dynamic and constantly moving; are they pre-programmed to do that or is the player somehow controlling that?
A few thoughts: - No body cam in the world has those round edges - It would be nice if the overlay of actual body cams with time date, manufacturer (instead of axon maybe something else). - It feels more like a VR game (very floaty) - The animations are too wobbly and the movement speed is too high (for a tactical shooter) - The aim-system definitely got improved (my biggest critique previously)
the edges look more like they're trying to imitate goggles than a bodycam. also, there is nothing wrong with the movement speed. The only thing I wish they had was two different runs (a medium run while aiming down sights, and a fast run with your gun to the side).
It looks wonky because of the fish-eye effect. That's a Gopro 4 with a fish eye effect and not a body cam. I watch body cam footage all the time and it's just a wide lens. I guess that would not be allowed anyway because that footage will be (perhaps) evidence in court. You need the cleanest footage available. Fish eye would make a frame by frame analysis harder and could lead to wrong convictions/acquittals. Police Activity on YT has endless body cam content.
You are wrong almost at all of that you said, go check videos for example skate videos with fisheye lens on it is exactly the same feeling, also when you use those type of lens, the environment FOV change dramatically that any object is near the edge of this lens when you move is faster, because of the distortion of this lens.
