OMG, what a cool car. This is an absolutely beautiful car and recreating the scenes. I must say I was a little worried when Christine wouldn’t let Jessica out - I thought she was done for… I’m so glad she was saved!
crazy how a movie can make you nervous around a car thats the power of practical effects back in the day. they made real things into monsters without using computers, thats why I love classic horror from the 70s and 80s
You two are so lucky to be able to see Christine and to be able to touch and sit in her. Christine is of my top five stephen King movies. Rose Red, The Stand, Kingdom Hospital, and IT. Thank you for the great video.
There are so many horror props you can hold, actors you can meet but nothing comes close to being in front of her while she lurches forward and growls. I can't think of a more vicarious experience so close to the victims in a horror movie and remain alive lol.
@@anelisamorgan8590 Stunt coordinator Terry Leonard wore a Nomex firefighter suit complete with a breathing apparatus. He filmed that scene as well as all the high-speed stunts.
I was 5 when Gargoyles came out in 1972..That was my first scare me movie.I remember when I could hear a Gargoyle running behind a car in the middle of the night and jumped onto the roof of the car.
Oh - that's amazing!! That restoration looks flawless, the special effects equipment in the trunk,....but not only getting to sit in it but then to get some of her oil!?! So lucky!! Very, very cool!!!
I always love how naturally you convey your passion and excitement for the locations you visit, seeing the genuine excitement and happiness on your face in every video is very wholesome
My favorite movie. Cool, you got to sit in Christine. I remember the cars from back then. They were made like tanks, no plastic like now. We had a big Mercury, and my mom needed a cushion to reach the pedals, like how Jessica didn't reach the floor. Great video!!
I remember back in 1986 I used to get a lot of Autotrader magazine catalogs, and the real one used in the movie was for sale for $16,500 and it actually came with a certificate from Paramount. I wish I would’ve had the money to buy her.
Oh man, I’ve just found your channel and when I saw this vlog I went crazy!! It’s one of my all time favourite films. I remember my dad let me stay up and watch it when I was about ten and I instantly fell in love with the car, horror, and Stephen King!! I’d love to see the real Christine. It’s such an amazing film. ♥️
There were actually 17 Christine cars used in the movie each one had special enhancements depending on what was needed such as re-enforced metal for smashing into objects or engines that would cause the car to peel out, etc. They even had hydraulics installed in one car to cause the metal to cave in and crumple. Great special effects for the time.
Hard to explain how this movie effected me as a 10 year old kid, I can feel your passion for the car and your nervousness around it I would be the same, the movie influenced my taste in music and cars forever, thank you for the upload 👍
I liked Christine. She went mainly after bad guys. three years ago I bought a 58 Ford Fairlane just so I could have a 50s car when I turned 50. This was my favorite movie in HS. Thanks.
Thanx to Stephen King we can never look at a 1958 Plymouth Fury the same way ever again. Love that creepy sounding version of "Body & Soul" sounds so twisted.
Getting her blood in vials is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen...and honestly? It's kind of sweet, too. She's depicted as evil but really all she wanted was some love. :3
My ante Emma owned the same year car in the same red paint but hers was a white two tone but mostly red. She drove in into the late 60's until her death in 69.
Wow... To see that she is still as beautiful today as she was back in the movie, when I was a kid... It's clearly supernatural ! And this is the evil Christine (you can tell by the tinted windscreen). There is another car out there, just as pristine, but with a normal windscreen which is the " good gal " version. Here I am in France, just wishing I were with you guys to share the moment. I've always loved that badass beauty of a car... Even though the film itself did have quite a number of flaws.
An autograph signature from Alexandra Paul, the actress who starred as Leigh Cabot in 'Christine' (1983): 'Don't eat in this car'. a reference to when she began choking on that burger piece.
I had a 58 Plymouth in College that was bought new by my Dad. I was with him. Then handed down to my Grandpa and then I got it when he passed. It was haunted!!! The headlights would go on or off anytime they wanted, but never in town... only out in the dark and strobed a couple of times. Many witnesses to this. It was a four door and green, so not so Christine looking. When going night tripping, I took flashlights and duct tape to tape them to the fenders, just in case. Grandpa was a prankster!
The black tinted windows represent the possessed sprits of Roland Lebay, Rita and their daughter when deceased in 1957 keep in mind the red fury herself is very sensitive when her heart of her radio plays.
It’s not that underrated. Critics gave it good reviews and it has a cult following. Plus when someone mentions the name Christine this usually comes to mind lol
While Jessica was in the car I was so hoping the radio would have turned on with an old retro Rock N Roll Song ! That would have been killer ! Anyways this was a crazy video ! Great job ! =)
This is the best thing I've seen in very long time, THANK YOU :) Christine has been one of my absolute favourites ever since I saw the movie about 30yrs ago, I've always dreamed of driving Christine. I've just finnished reading the book. If I was rich, I would absolutely have a replica built. I hope she lives forever. Keith Gordon did such an awesome job as Arnie Cunningham.
Only a car guy could understand. To us they are not cars but members of the family that really do have their own personality, quirks, likes, dislikes and just like a real woman the car can make you hate her one moment and fall in love all over again the next. I was born with a hot wheel in one hand and a screwdriver in the other so for me its a lifestyle not a hobby, not a fad and not something that just peaks my curious nature for a little while. I've been a car nut all my life and I'll remain that way. This car, Christine is just one of the coolest movie cars out there and it's nice to see the real thing up close.

Christine is extremely jealous of her owners....The reason why arnie got so hooked on her cause in the begining both were undesirable & unwanted until arnold fell head over heels for Christine. The 1958 plymouth fury fitted the attitude she had in the movie. Great content Sir Christine made whatever obstacles she had in front of her gone as fast as she turned on her owners
Love this movie..the underground bridge scene when Christine went after moochie..well I live up the street I was there when they were filming the movie I was 6 years old...sadly the bridge was torn down and took away the movie location...BTW like your channel 👍keep it up guys!!!

I'd be terrified in that garage. It was scary enough just watching it, especially when Christine revved and moved forward.
The Best scene was when She was on fire driving back to the warehouse.
Agreed! Still don't know how they filmed that scene..🤔

The best scene is where Arnie goes; "Ok, show me..." And the rest is history
That was when Christine revealed herself to Arnie (and to us all.) Most likely what she did to the old geezer's brother before his death.
That music. 🥰
"Is that you, Cunningham? Hey, you ain't mad are ya?"
