how is it not easy to properly get his name right? Marshmello dude. not Marshmallow, not Marshmellow, god dammit lol but yeah you're right, this is some fire sauce
I dont produce this kind of music but I always love learning new things and taking notes so that I can try when I have the time of course and have gear! But now I enjoy studying from the masters! Marshmello the goat for sharing his craft!
Im a house producer but love watching tutorials on all kinds of production, i wasn’t a huge Marshmello fan before this video (nothing against marshmello, its just not my kind if music) but i am now. Respect to you for not being a gatekeeper and showing people EXACTLY how you make sounds and process them. Too many people are very vague about their process. I commend you bro, big ups
This is pure gold! Thank you for the insights on your creative process. This is going really prove useful in my future works. I love Ableton, and think its a really awesome DAW. Please do keep these videos coming, and keep on keeping it Mello!!!
This is awesome to see marshmello breakdown one of his songs. As a long time fan, and I don't know what you'd call it, but I guess inspired person? (I was mostly inspired by marshmello, and my friend when I started making music) it's really cool to see, and compare how our work flow is, and see how much marshmello has evolved his style
The speed was good for this. Not too crazy or in-depth for someone who's been producing for a couple of years. I know it might be harder to remember (and you were doing this throughout) but the things that are most interesting/important to me are the "what I was thinking when I did x" stuff. Happy holidays man.
I’m in the middle of mixing my first album, it’s been great but, I’m at the last stage and the doubt is creeping in. It was reassuring and encouraging watching your video, I learnt a few things. Thank you !
Wasn’t expecting a mello walkthrough! Hope to see more!! By the way, Simplicity is my favorite way of producing, so thank you for sharing this. It takes the pressure off😅
Holy shit Marshmello my favourite DJ of all time teaching us how to produce? Wasn't expecting this, was going to learn from Jay Eskar that has this type of videos, now I think this is the best time to start making my own music, holy shit thanks. I am going to start, was thinking of it for a while⚡️
Amazing to see you release a breakdown man! It was great, wasn’t necessarily too fast or confusing. Like up said, just have less stuff flattened and frozen for the next video :) thanks so much for putting this out. You have always been one of my favorite producers, even before marshmello.
Awesome!! Could you talk about your Master Chain + Mastering Process in Future Videos? Would be super helpful. Still a very mysterious process for most people. You’re the man!
Thank you Mello. Loved watching this breakdown video. Always great to see how producers make their songs with their tips and tricks. Love your old school vibes with this EP. Mellogang 4 life!
After watching I think the video is super solid. The only thing I would recommend would be adding links for the plugins or sample packs you are showing. You did great for a first go around. It's really neat actually looking at your session and seeing how many layers you have in here. Personally I am looking forward to the next one! Super exciting times. Thank you again for making these! (the remix comp) was really neat to dive into it. I'm really happy to see videos like this. I am looking forward to learning something in here. Will update as the video goes on. Thank you for making this video btw I know how schedules get so thank you for finding the time to do this for us. I was totally surprised by the whole no eqing a snare. My professor Tom Kahre gave me advice to live by if it sounds good it is good. So far this song is the proof.
Listening to the way you break things down is a wonderful Christmas Gift. Your music is so impactful and I've always been fascinated with your style so... Thank You for the breakdown. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your musical universe. I hope you had a wonderful year and I hope the upcoming year is better than the last.
Bruh seeing Marshmallow use some of the same design philosophies and vsts i use is wild. More of this in the future. Its awesome hearing your thought process on how you go about stuff and why
This song sounds great! I love it. Love how you make it seem so basic regards all the technical, know it all about plugins, etc. But more about sound selection and just feeling the right sounds to get the emotion through. More about the song and music than about knowing the right EQ, compression, etc. That's why your so outstandingly great. And your music stands out way above the rest.
Finally, the long-awaited making video of Marshmello is here! Marshmello is a genius! This video is incredibly helpful. I really hope more videos like this will keep getting uploaded! Mellogang!!!🔥🔥🔥
Hey!! Marshmello please answer this question! I'm just curious, I noticed your CPU usage was sooo low and consistent. That's amazing with all the plugs and reverb, etc. What sorts of processing power are you working with? Ram? Etc
The R♾️ts is great bro. ‘Just can’t stop’ is great too. Its awesome you’re taking time to share your sauce lol, your thought-process & tricks you’ve learned over the years in detail for younger producers coming up & trying to be like you. 🙏
Great breakdown! To be honest, I haven't really listened to you much (other than your big tracks) but this actually has made me much more interested in your music 😅. Nice stuff 👍
I'm new to making music and i can't even begin how helpful this video was! It's just so interesting all the little things that go behind everything! I appreciate this video so much! More please!!
This is dope. Thank you so much for sharing the process on this one. Also love that one of my Idol artists is using some of the same plugins as me. Keep on rockin, dude.
haven't rly listened to your music in some time but I decided to check this out and ended up watching through, I feel so close to putting out my first track and your 'dont worry about principles too much' is very affirming tbh LOL thank you for this (also this is the first time iv heard your voice its nice)
Thanks for sharing this video help a lot of us new producers Kindly next time guide a little bit about your mastering chain what you use how you master your songs and also side chain your kick and stuff that would be great And thank you so much for sharing this❤❤❤❤
Thank you Marshmello for uploading this! It was very cool to see how you produce your music! That would be awesome if you can breakdown how you make your leads and chords and how you layer them. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
It's a little hard to hear you, particularly over the music, but thank you so much for posting this. I'm an FL studio guy, so some of the stuff was lost on me, but it's cool to see the workflow and layering, hear your thoughts and ideas behind the choices. Really cool insight. Would absolutely watch more of these.
