How do I determine how much to spray on a cloth air filter? In the instructions on the can it says it will run rich for a while if too much oil is applied. How does it change from having too much?

Do you only oil the outside of the filter?

We recommend you follow your owners manual for proper maintenance. We personally do oil the insides of our air filters as well for extra protection!

Hi, thanks for reaching out!
It largely depends on how heavily you saturate the filter each time you apply FAB1, and the size/coverage of the filter itself. Light application on standard size filters can last upwards of 30+ filters, though larger filters, or if you saturate the filter more, that number will go down slightly.
