I have seen this house before, on another RUclips channel dedicated to small space living. But that video was from the point of view of the homeowner, instead of the architect. I like the way in which the house is seamlessly integrated with the surrounding landscape. One thing that was highlighted in the other video series was the skylight above the sleeping area, which permits stargazing at night.
Thank you for explaining the background for this home. I loved it when I first saw it featured in Living Big in a Tiny House. It's so well designed and so well planned. There's a wonderful level of comfort combined with a beautiful aesthetic and the house is nestled in such beautiful terrain. It's just inspiring and breathtaking.
Magical…I feel like you would literally just take flight to move about the area…like, no need to walk mate, we are magic here~fly. Heavenly. Absolutely Heavenly. Ha ha. So, just realized the view of what looked like a round windows with 2 stuffed clown fish, is an Ariel of the bedroom skylight and the clown fish are the tops of the gorgeous artisan dye painted pillows. Ha ha. Man, what a gorgeous project. Beautiful Work.
Beautiful design. And for those not using the metric system: 50 square meters = 538.2 square feet. This is indeed fairly small for a 1 bedroom. I don't know that I would call it tiny.
The designer would be alone in thinking that a view of just tussock grass is cool. The little windows are a lost opportunity and shows that the place is over designed just for the esteem of the designer. No one wants to go to a place like that and have a small view. It’s beautiful outside and a trap inside.
It is not so much about the house itself that makes it great. It is about the country, city, location you live in, the safety of the community living in remote area, occupation, education infra for children and so much more that decides everything. Anyone can build a great home, it is the surrounding and situation you live in everyday.
I want to know what the clear material is that spans the house and the smaller footing that is laid out in parallel? It's a neat idea, curious to know how that material will hold up in the weather?
Any home built today that is not built to Passive House Standard will be obsolete in 20 years or less. One day soon, architects will be held accountable for what they design.
Does anyone know a ballpark of how much this would cost? Square footage alludes to something affordable (material-wise), but the off grid elements might be costly. Thanks!
modern architecture says blend with nature , this design is like a warts on the nature , for me personally it resembled Auschwitz concentration camps wooden bunks , those rustic black and gray woods don't make any comfortable feelings at all @4:25 the designer says we intended to design a crisp sharp angular form, why? which logic did you follow ?
Very nice, but in such a landscape in the somewhere anyone can build spectacular houses. But the art is rather to build where people live, namely in the urban milieu, with the same demands.
Looks God awful, reminds me of a west coast tuna canning factory , and the inside looks as cold as what December brings up there .... sorry mate , that's 2 strikes ...😂
I can’t wait for the interior ply trend to die. Incredibly unimaginative. I very much appreciate the skill that goes into a design such as this but the end result is quite an ugly building that I do not feel will age well at all.
Finally, an architect who doesn’t talk BS.
Probably because he is an Architectural designer not a registered Architect.
What is BS actually?
@@sunj1297 it's either Bachelor of Science, or Bullsh**. Those are the only two translations I know of😅
Fantastic design and great narration/explanations! Love how you described everything without all the fluff. It humanizes architecture
I love it! What a difference a professional architect makes.

I thought the exact thing about the round window..nice aquarium. 🤣
Wow! This is very clever!
Este canal me gusta mucho..., y con este tipo de realización cuidada y escuchando perfectamente. Gracias
Stunning architecture and incredible delivery.
living in the middle of nowhere is a beautiful thing
Lovely home and beautifully encapsulated in the narration.
The house location is breath taking. With this view if only in a tent, I would be happy.
Might be a little cold!
@@serpserpserp Never thought of that! Yea, agreed.
What beautiful environment. Mountain ⛰ behind lots of green🌳the architecture balanced well with Nature beauty ☁️. )
The views are spectacular!!
Love the detail of the small window with the tall grass outside
this just made my mood alot better. Thanks
😇
Pros for the corner to corner ridge, outstanding finishes. Powerful setting.
Too many missing corners, for my humble tastes, but beautiful.
The view itself sold me! Thanks Local Project
I'd love to see this beautiful property in snow .
suuuuukkaaaa sekali dengan design2 yang ada di videonya the local project!!!!!! 💕💕
the design visually fits the surrounding nature
Cool contemporary style. Although not in love with the bed layout; I completely love a nice nightstand on my side.
Beautiful!!!!

It's not just the house, but the surrounding area also
Love it!
It’s amazing
It’s very beautiful!
wonderful
That gutter less roof is actually really amazing. Don’t see that much at all.
What a great place , I could live there full time no problem! How do they get electricity , water , etc?👍😎
Plenty 'o elbow room.😊
Happy new year
And to you! 🙂
Beautiful home!

what more could you need x
Wow
🔥🥰
❤❤❤❤❤

❤️❤️
Bryce and Rasa also featured this on their channel Living Big on a Tiny House
💯
How is the water and electricity solved
Should have shown the night sky through the skylight from inside

Interesting property. What was the background music for the video?
Does anyone know a ballpark of how much this would cost? Square footage alludes to something affordable (material-wise), but the off grid elements might be costly. Thanks!
It was ridiculously expensive.
Интересно
Please also show shots of building in different seasons as pointed by the architect.
Snow / Dry / wet / and green(you have already shown us green)
I need
What about the basics? Water, electricity and flushing or composting the toilet.
I want to own this house

Integrated guttering, seems risky.
Love how unpretentious the narration is on this one.
Magnifique🏞️
Not much more than a caravan with a shed attached. The imported boulders really do not work with the surrounding grassland.
Very nice, but in such a landscape in the somewhere anyone can build spectacular houses. But the art is rather to build where people live, namely in the urban milieu, with the same demands.
Custodian pretends to be an owner. Ugly artificial stone garden around. Great landscape. Huge money. Vanity.
The emperor is wearing no clothes...it's a trailer park home.
Looks God awful, reminds me of a west coast tuna canning factory , and the inside looks as cold as what December brings up there .... sorry mate , that's 2 strikes ...😂
I don't see anything here being off grid!
Strange stones and bushes allaround! Boring
Not a fan to be honest. Looks more like a "luxury" piece of art than a homey cabin you escape from society.
I don't like places that are too remote
too much talking
