I have 2 cats. Jasmine likes to sleep right up against me by my chest, sometimes my head purring most of the night my other girl (Maya) likes to sleep by my knees or pressed up against my back. I usually got woke up having one of them sometimes both cleaning my hair or rubbing their face all over my face along with gentle taps on the face with their paw pads (It's breakfast time let's go!).
I'm glad my cat sleeps at my feet. I can get up without disturbing her, and she can get up without disturbing me. Also, it's no problem for the cat if I change my position.
My kitty, I love him, but he ruins my sleep quality because he loves sleeping in between my thighs. It is the worst spot he could choose because I turn over if I wake up even a little and I feel him there and have to use more force to move my leg and it wakes me up fully. I've learned to be a "monster" because I genuinely need to sleep. He can hang out all he wants there during the day. He just adjusts anyway and picks a new spot or goes to my partner. He gets so excited when I do, because he knows I'm awake enough to force him to shift and he basically leaps to my side and in between may arms demanding pets. It's very cute.

I have 7 cats. They are all perfect angels. 4 sleep with me. Go to bed when I do. They get up early and behave themselves until I get up 😂

My cat, Andy, would stand on my chest and cuff me on the chin with his paw. Woke me up that way every day.
