I’m leaving at the end of the summer.
Born and raised so I’ve seen it all. I remember what CA and sac use to be. The roads are horrible. The place I’m headed, the roads are smooth because they are paved and maintained unlike here. The homeless and garbage are ridiculous. My neighborhood is nice and clean but if you travel around at all, you can’t avoid the trash and homeless.
The taxes are ridiculous and I’m simply not willing to contribute to this crap anymore. If you guys are, hey, more power to you. Hope you enjoy the madness.

A lot of homeless and trash. Lived there last year and I took public transportation. The public transportation only takes you around Sacramento.

This guy is hillarious Yuba city Redding plumas lake no traffic it’s so funny how you compare Sacramento to places like LA or the Bay Area hillarious facts are is we need more republicans and less whiny democrats. And then you try to sale people houses in sac. Sacramento is the best place to live construction=jobs hour from Tahoe, ocean, couple hours from everything few hours from Monterey, Disney land , funny you don’t mention Gavin news on highest gas prices on the Peter puffing demo rates. Heat: ac/pool many places to swim lakes rivers creeks. The more you talk the more I felt like you’re not even from here. Expensive = great weather. You can’t beat the weather or scenes. Yea but you will never see a family running from a tornado or hurricane simple solution VOTE FOR TRUMP. Your not from sac, your probley on section 8 and you ain’t got solar panels. Cheaper houses move north. People will cry over everything embrace solutions not excuses !

CA Government policy= higher taxes, crimes, homelessness, utility costs, bureacracy. (I.e. Mayor granted $100million taxpayers dollars to address homelessness. He spent it on two homeless camps in south Sacramento area.... Go figure. Born & raised in SadSac Town. Moved to county.👍

Doesn’t matter where you live. Every city has problems like crime, housing, employment etc. Sac is cheaper to live in than San Jose.

    • @BobPenzien
      @BobPenzien 2 месяца назад

Irvine, CA has very little crime and mostly great weather, with a lot of good jobs. However, in Irvine, the cost of living and housing are very high. This means that lower and middle class Americans can not afford to live here.

Homeless encampments, drugs, theft, gangs, snotty new comers from the Bay Area who have moved here and driven up housing prices, local politicians who do so little for our town, and our city bill increasing every year (while it’s already incredibly high), no parking, smog, etc. I’ve lived in Sacramento for 50 of my 52 years. When I lived in Oregon for two years, I really had my eyes opened to just how much more expensive everything is in Ca. I plain to move back to Oregon one day. It’s sad because I will miss my home town, but I will not miss all of the things that have made it a not great place to live anymore.

Sacramento native son here since the early 1970s. In my 50+ years living here, this city has changed A LOT, especially since around 2000. Urban sprawl in every direction from the downtown core took this city from "cow town" status to another example of American suburbia. The leadership of Sacramento has been very short-sighted on transportation developments because they side with the vocal minority "not in my backyard" ...so nothing gets built to benefit the greater good of the community. The traffic, the high cost of living, and a real lacking feel of "community" has put this city on bad path to its future. My retirement is just a few years away, and I will definitely be leaving. Not just leaving California, but he US.

A couple of the things you didn't mention are things like inner Sac road conditions and that before Silicon Valley over payed workers moved up here it was low prices all around. Then here comes these people and everything shoots sky high and has never gone back. As for inner city roads they are a joke with street like Watt avenue constantly getting nothing more then hit and miss patch work.A nd you are from here and travel that well used avenue you constantly curse all those that run the government. This is the capitol of California and it looks like a dump in lots of areas. One other thing when you saying people are leaving you forget to mention that those people can afford to get the heck out of here while thousands of others can't. IMHO Sacramento is a dump that hopes for a bull dozer to bulldoze over.

The Bay Area and LA are far worse for quality of life. Both San Francisco and Oakland are bombed out shells of themselves, with garbage, needles, 💩, and tents all over the place. Terrible places for kids to grow up.
Oakland can’t even keep its sports teams 😂

Apparently you have not lived any where else in this country. Yelp, people are moving out of California but they are returning within a year or two. Traffic is the same anywhere you go in this country. Unless you want to move Halabolu Alabama. 😂

I was a born & raised Californian and was sooooo glad to be rid of that God forsaken pile of dirt that calls it self a "state" - it's nothing but a third world country & Sacramento is a swamp! I spent 12 years traveling thru every state west of the Mississippi River and settled in Kentucky (cleaner, better manners, no wildfires, no smog,...). Yes ever state will have issues, but to find one that fits your needs & finances, is a good thing. I will NEVER EVER return to that cesspool! 🤬

False . People are leaving for good . Your state is witnessing an exodus due to your government . Have friends moved 4 years to Texas from California … they say wouldn’t move back . Weather is nicer but you cannot afford to live there . PSssshhh .. if I want to go to a beach ( and I’ve been to California beaches .not a pressed and . cold ) I’d jump on a plane and go to Miami or Cancun but return to my San Antonio . We have the huge homes too . Don’t hate ! lol you gambled on your government and lost , and they are screwing you guys royally .

@@kyoakland Now. you know good and GOD XXXMN WELL, why there's traffic . And no, they don't need to leave like cowards. they need and stay and fight to get back their state. I'm a rational person, and let me say this: I love my Texas but even I can say California geographically is the most beautiful state; FIGHT .. DON'T RUN, if locate, don't beat around the reason why your state was destroyed. It's politics. America first and its citizens.

Sacramento is doing what San Francisco. tried to do 20-30 years ago and that is to try and meet the demands for the continuing crush of people moving into the area San Francisco is a relatively small city, area and square mileage wise but all this did push prices and property values thru the roof making single family homes unaffordable I just looked up Sacramento population 500,000 + as a native San Franciscan I can remember when the population here was around 600- 650,000 and now it around 800- 900,000 and the developers are still building like its no tomorrow, the problem is you can't create new land everybody wants to be in California but southern California is outta the question so northern California is the only only place left to build just wait till you have close to a million people in the next 5 to 10 year's, you think it's bad now just wait and see...
    you ain't seen nothing... ..❤

Sac metro shaped like a slice of pie. Eastern suburbs sprawl toward the mountains. No quick way to move north/south on that end. No freeway on the east side. Jerry Brown sold the right of way. Now we have the gridlocked Watt Ave complete with 18 wheelers serving as the Jerry Brown Memorial Freeway.
