Thank you Homeworthy for also introducing dollhouses and their wonderful creators to your portfolio. Mr. Hogan has a wonderful collection and it was fantastic to watch his home tour. I hope to see more dollhouse makers on your channel. I've been dreaming for years that I'll be able to see what's new in Laura Diana's Victorian Dollhouse - it's where my passionate love for miniatures began. I think Homeworthy viewers would love to visit Kathleen's Dollhouse, which is constantly changing according to the seasons and holidays. Thank you, it was a great video to start a great Sunday.
Absolutely stunning! There's another video on Homeworthy, not long ago, of a woman who decorates doll houses. She, though, builds her own pieces or finds them for extremely less expensive. Both equally beautiful.
Incredible!!! I kept waiting for people to start walking around. These should be in a museum. I could spend hours looking at everything. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow, you definitely fulfilled your goal, it does look like a designer's room and not a doll house. Love it all. Thanks for sharing your passion, I am so inspired. Kudos to you.🤩
I absolutely fell in love with all of these houses! They are so beautiful. My favorite item was the miniature necklace. 😮 So much creativity in every room.
I love dollhouses, I’m in my 60’s and in my younger years I used to have two, since given them away to friends daughters, but still adore them, added electricity, even used to go the the miniature shows as well! These dollhouses are beautiful, the quality of the furniture amazing! Thanks for showing them!
Absolutely amazing. Miniatures make me so happy. I would live in that room, and not want to ever leave it. I would struggle to join the real world. if that was my collection He has done an amazing job with it all. I wonder if he feels the joy that I feel with miniatures, I really hope that he does.
This is so fun! I love that he's so into it. I've been doing the miniature kits for a few years now and I've done 22 so far. It's an addiction! And he's right, actual dollhouse miniatures are not cheap. You can spend hundreds of dollars on tiny furniture!
The amount of time, creativity, dedication and money that this man has put into his hobby is unbelievable! I am thrilled to see his work! I'll look forward to seeing all that he will continue to share with us. I have several houses going and I love the miniature world. Mr. Hogan is correct that the dollhouse world was declining. Because of him, and many others, the fascination and the love of miniatures will now pique more people's interest into wanting to give this hobby a try.
Michael Hogan, I love looking at doll houses. It is amazing to me that you are a professional doll designer and collector. I love your doll houses! What a great hobby and I love your studio. It is an art! I love your Spanish doll house. The details are wonderful! I love the roof, the pool and how you put the sections together with the materials you chose. I like your Cape Cod house. I love the folk art items. This is 1/12th size, right? I love all the Christmas items! I love your Lobry Rose Dawn doll house. You are "a miniature interior designer." I also create my own dolls and doll houses using Mattel's Barbies and Kens. I am nowhere in your sphere. WOW!!! You send your designs to your friend, Tony, to build the actual house. I build by houses with wood and cardboard boxes. With my furniture I build some and I purchase some. I love the Etsy shops, such as Laser Lines. My houses are "themed". It is a very expensive hobby. Currently, I am working on "House of the Dragon" Driftmark Castle. Finding gothic items is hard. I have 10 doll houses (3 by Mattel- A frame, Victorian and the one with the garage and 7 that I have built.) Our doll houses become a part of us, and it is sooo hard to let them go. Be blessed.
Michael, this is an amazing doll house collection and absolutely incredible. I have a large, 37 x 37 x 39 inch tall, that is electrically lighted with chandeliers, fireplaces, etc. Over 2,000 little cedar shake shingles on the roof. It was in my garage for many years and some things were ruined, but could be restored again. It was made in 1930's by a home builder. It was a replica of a home a built. 25 years after I purchased it, I bought an 1854 Colonial that looked almost like it's duplicate of the doll house. It's now in my daughter's basement and should be restored. It's amazing and worth a good penny. All hardwood floors, little 9 over 9 wooden windows, shutters, staircase, so beautiful. Seeing your collection makes me really appreciate. Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!!
So beautiful u are so talented with decorating them the ideas that u come up with is just beautiful thank u for sharing I really enjoyed watching your video I always wanted a dollhouse growing up but we were poor and my mom raised 4 of us so she had worked so hard that I couldn't dare ask for a dollhouse we needed other things like food roof over are head but I'm 57 now but still enjoy dollhouse videos
I just fell in love with making minatures too! I've been going to town making the kits and now expanding to making my own! Love that I found your channel! I wanna learn from the best!
Miniatures picked Me, I didn’t pick miniatures. I make everything myself. It is endless learning, material storage and collecting all sorts of junk and thingamabobs for use in creating something small! I am creating the Chocolatery from the film Chocolat. It has special meaning for me so it is a labor of love. Next project will be a dark Cottage Core stone home for a good Witch! Ive gathered so many tools now and that helps to have the right tools for the work. Your boxes and homes are lovely!❤
Who are these dolls houses for ? They look like expensive architect models . Brilliant advert for any Building firm who would like to sell their houses. Bravo !
I am not so into miniatures, as I am, making drawings for dollhouses and building them. I really like to plan these houses, regardless of whether it is a small house of five or six rooms, or a larger house of over 20 rooms. I wallpaper the rooms and do the floors and stuff, but think it's very expensive to get furniture etc. So that's why I partly make some furniture as well, and I always do all paintings... But for me, the best thing is to plan and build. But it's very good that there are people who like to make miniatures of everything.
What an incredible collection. Thank you for this tour, Michael! All the curtains in these miniature houses are stunning. Are they from ECH Miniatures?
Hello, Watching this, it reminds me of my childhood because my eldest brother and mom built me a dollhouse. What I remember about it is the fact that he told me it was for magpies! He told me that because he was building it in our basement and I came upon him working on it and he told me that white lie so that it would not ruin my Christmas present. I believed him! Now, at an advanced age, that is all I remember about it. I think it was pink! I was a very precocious child and that was the only way that he could think of to tell me to not spoil my Christmas present!
What's the brand of dollhouse? Lobry? I've got three dollhouses all by Greenleaf, I believe is the company. The Franklin, (a farmhouse) the Beacon Hill (a "painted lady" Victorian) and the Tennyson (a more modest Victorian) love miniatures! 🙂🖐️ Thanks for the tour. *edit* found it! 😆👍 "Lawbre"
Your doll houses are amazing I wish I was there to go in your house and look at them if you let me even if you charge me a couple of dollars to go in but I do in a different state I love doll houses and miniatures now that the holidays are over I'm going to start working on the dollhouse I bought at a yard sale for $15 but I'm going to make it in to like that 70s show cuz I got all the kind of paper that look like it would be that wallpaper for the 70s and I just bought a a vintage kitchen set off my daughter like a retro style cuz she's going to get rid of a lot of her dollhouse stuff and some other stuff so I'm going to see how I make that little house but it has a piece of the roof missing so kind of like a big long house what would you recommend for that part I think the roof used to open up on the top on the part I'm not sure but it has a lot of rooms to it images of 112 scale but it has a lot of rooms
Sooo.. what exactly does this guy do for a living to be able to afford one $1000 miniature couch?? I'm flabbergasted! 😄 I want to do that for a living! I'm also in Ohio 😏
@SonoNariFiorewithGrace The "expensive tiny sofa" is not really about the cost- it's about the quality and craftness in it to create it. It is a thing of art. I have been doll collecting and crafting over 45+ years. I am no where near this gentlemen's talent. He works with miniatures. I work with 1/6th scale (the size of Barbies). Currently I am working on a "House of the Dragon" Driftmark Castle. This is a gothic castle and requires gothic wood furniture. I am building a castle. Some of the wood furniture I can make. Some I need to source out through Etsy shops. This talent, this skill of the crafter requires I will be buying an expensive, 1/6th size gothic sofa, as this piece will be extremely hard to find due to it's OOAK and uniqueness. Someone in the world may re-create Castle Driftmark, but, it will not be my OOAK, unique Castle Driftmark. I hope that helps you understand why the "expensive tiny sofa".
@Sobrien724 Yes. For those of us who are really into doll crafting $1,000 is nothing. A thing has value for as much as you are willing to pay for it. Others may not understand, but we who craft do understand that. I tell my grandchildren, "When I die, don't be soo quick to throw away my dolls and doll houses. Some are very expensive and worth a lot of money." I have started buying those old doll books that show how to value them to help my grandchildren understand. And one of them is now a crafter of miniatures.
How many UMS can one man say?????it put me totally off WATCHING /LISTENING!!!!! ❤YOU ARE an INCREDIBLE ARTISTE + SORRY I AM BEING a BITCH ....😮 BLESS YOU. +YOUR INCREDIBLE AMAZING TALENT ❤❤❤❤❤

I watched that one! She was good at crafting those mini objects.
Yayyyyy the dollhouse series continues! I'm super impressed with his dollhouses and roomboxes!!
Incredible!!! I kept waiting for people to start walking around. These should be in a museum. I could spend hours looking at everything. Thank you so much for sharing.
Why should they be in a museum? They are his own precious things. He's already making them public as he posts images on social media.
No they should not be in a museum. They belong to this man and they are right where they should be. But yes, they certainly could be!
THat is such an art form elevated! Creativity abounds!
Thank you, Michael, such a great collection. So much originality, and beautifully decorated. I watched your video three times.
Looove these dollhouse videos ❤ and love his passion for the miniatures design! Beautiful!

Love it... i
These are so realistic that I swear if these room boxes were used in movie shots I don’t think I would realize it wasn’t a full human size scene.
Thank you I appreciate it!
I wanna come over!!
Nice!! Also I noticed he kept putting his hands in a pyramid.
Do you make any little doll families to go with the houses?
He should do a collaboration with a dioramist and someone into trains and go the whole hog on a Christmas village!
How does he combat dust? He has so much, keeping them clean would take up all one’s time.
❤❤❤❤❤
I’m so curious about the day to day 😊job you do that allows you to afford this expensive hobby.
Do you make any of the furniture or anything inside of these doll houses by hand ? Or is it all made by outside people that you purchased it all from?
Yes I only collect and put it all together.
Do you ever display your doll houses to the public?
What's the brand of dollhouse? Lobry? I've got three dollhouses all by Greenleaf, I believe is the company. The Franklin, (a farmhouse) the Beacon Hill (a "painted lady" Victorian) and the Tennyson (a more modest Victorian) love miniatures! 🙂🖐️
