The other day I got pulled over by a cop and I asked "what did I do?" and he said "you didn't signal that lane change. Let me see your license and registration."
So I showed it to him and he wrote me a ticket and then I drove away.
For some reason, I didn't get tazed. I didn't get my window broken. I don't have a felony fleeing or assault on a P.O. on my record.
What did I do wrong?

Driving automatics is a very basic process in comparison, and anyone can perform the very basics.
Second, repairing stick shift vehicles is considerably cheaper and easier than automatic gearbox vehicles.
Third, smart people will pick stick shift over automatic because of the two aforementioned reasons.

I.e someone owns the land that a house sits on but someone else owns the house, so the person who owns the land doesn't have to take care of the house and vice versa.

As in "defrauding the citizens/residents of the honest services to which they are entitled, under color of law". Example: an LEO telling an accident victim that he/she needs to use his friend's towing service, because that officer will get a kickback.

The right to travel without identification is granted to citizens. This is the right that lets you not pack it every time you go out to the corner store.
That said, obviously, you need one when driving. This is a conflict between a common law and a specialized law. When there is one, a specialized law takes precedent.
This mistake is a common one around everyone that hear that Federal Law overrides State Law.

I just had a thought about word play when it comes to the idea of traveling. State law says you must have a valid driver's license to operate a vehicle. One could make the argument that in order to get into a car and even turn it on, is considered operating the vehicle, in which going by the state law you'd need a license for. Just food for thought.

If your driver's license is suspended, that means that the actual physical ID card is suspended. So that actual physical card is not allowed to drive. You, the person, are not the card, so you are able to fully drive all you want.
