Green Flag - Full Speed A Go
Yellow Flag - Limited Speed, No Overtaking Unless it cannot be helped (like when the two drivers hit the wall instead at around 5:58 lolz that was a free pass)
Red Flag - Full Stop All Racers
Black Flag - Stop Racing, usually for one racer or a small group with some penalty involved
Yellow and Black Flag - Oil/Fluid on the circuit, treated as a Yellow Flag/Caution
White Flag - Final Lap/Final Minute if race is timed
Checkered Flag - Race End
There are others, like a blue flag but I don't remember all of them. I think the blue flag involves weather, but I'm not sure, and if so, it wouldn't apply since this circuit is clearly indoors.
There's also another flag for signaling an immediate required pit stop for all, but I don't recall the color/pattern, and in this case, it likely doesn't apply either.
Finally someone that knows shit about karting, you racing too?
@@NakiriX1 The flags I talked about are consistent in all forms of automotive racing as far as I know.
Apparently, the blue flag is a courtesy flag for the driver being waved to allow other drivers to pass by according to the wikipedia entry...

The yellow stripe flag (usually yellow and red stripes not yellow and black as I recalled from years back) is for track hazards like oil/fluid/rainwater/etcetera).
I am a racing enthusiast, but not on the circuit in any way. I just know what I know is all, lol

I don't think it has much use in go-kart races but in F1 for example this flag could be waved at a lapped car that's about to be passed and in WEC this could be waved at an GTE car when an LMP1/2 car is coming up from behind.

People apparently forget that there is an outside line 24/7, smashing you off the road for using it, not overtaking on the outside when you purposefully slow down more than you have to in order to block an idiot from overtaking on the inside that you're not going to give him, etc.

-> If anyone is wondering why I took a very wide line whenever I'm stuck behind traffic, it's because these karts have very low power at low rpms. By taking a wider line, I can keep the kart at a higher rpm/speed so that when I see the chance to attack, my kart will be able to accelerate faster than the opponent. One good example is the line I took from 6:30 in the Battle against Kart 30, I took the wider line to keep my speed up :p

I work at a track like this one in San Diego. You wouldn't believe the amount of people who don't understand the concept of a racing line and will lock up their brakes on the line and cause pile ups. Good lines in your video and good alertness to track and flags... Wish more people like you would come and race haha

Go Karts need to have lower friction tires to drift. They still can drift but it's pretty hard to do it with high friction tires.

I went to an indoor kart arena that had karts so slow, helmets weren't even required, and the tires were shit so they were easy to drift.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Imagine like 6 Lenningrads with speed flags and prem speed boosts on Big Race having... well, a Big Race. Through all the islands and Torpedo Cove in the southwest, maybe like 3 laps. Or you could have a bunch of Bogues doing a similar race, but it would take about a year to complete a lap in those bricks.
