Bob Dobalina Sycophantic, yes. I guess they were right about not being able to think straight after anesthesia. Call it fangirling if you will. Glad you put me in my place though.
Particularly good episode. Much as I love him on panel shows etc I've never really seen a longer interview with Ross. He's pretty damn amusing. Cheers, Mr Herring!
Absolute fantastic Mr Herring! Please have Ross on as your second guest! He could just keep talking after you're gone! When I saw him he went way beyond the time allotted at the venue, the staff wanted to go home be he kept on going, such a top bloke.
Just ordered the book through Book Depository, bought before you mentioned Red Stripe. Should have said at the start, I would have ordered through them to give you more money etc. Yes I could cancel and set up another payment with another password and given away my address and phone, again. Yeah, Amazon it is then.
That last time Ross was on I just remember laughing at the story of how his house burnt down. Wow that's 5 years since I listened on headphones, wandering around the souqs of Doha, freaking people out with my random giggles 😁😁😁 I'm going to have to buy Richard's book now.
For the love of God why oh why wasn't there a camera filming the exchanges between Mel Brooks and Ross Noble/Leslie Joseph and in fact any direct interaction he had with the cast during the rehearsal process? I've watched that bit of this podcast several times now because the "I carried his BALLS" and "WHAT A PAIR!" bits both sound like sketches or scenes in a spoofish-but-actually-real fly on the wall comedy a la Extras or Curb Your Enthusiasm that I feel the world needs.
Ordered my beer yesterday. Received my beer today. Cancelled my subscription. Job done. Heads up guys, you have to ring Beer 52 to cancel, but they were nothing but helpful (if a little slow in answering the phone!) I appreciate this appears cheap, but, well I am. I cannot afford £24 a month on 8 beers!
Ross is your funniest best friend you're going to get into the most trouble with, but have a good time doing it even though you know you're going to get into Huge Trouble because you've been with that Noble kid, again.
He confuses me. First appearance on RHLSTP, I thought he was hilarious ("are they burning the badgers?"). But his stand up & panel stuff doesn't make me laugh. Maybe a fluke? NO! This was absolutely amazing.
Yeah - I don't care for his panel or stand-up either and have long maintained I wasn't a fan of his, but I really enjoyed this, and his previous appearance.
Ross always has this effect on me. Either I'm in the right mood, some of his stuff comes on and he seems to be the funniest fastest and strangest comedian around. Or I'm not in the mood and he hits a few notes but seems childish for the rest. I do find the enthousiasm he brings to the stage something that's incredibly admirable. He seems to be looking for a silly angle every second he's in something and I love that about him.
his TV stuff has to be really toned down don't forget and he's sitting in a studio for hours told when to speak and what to joke about. His live stuff he's free to go wild and be himself.
Ho-Ho-Ho! Fact-checking Santa here! Aled Jones faced an allegation of inappropriate behaviour from a female, who has not been named. The BBC spent months investigating the allegation which was believed to have centred on messages and contact. While the behaviour under review was not related to his work with the BBC, Aled recognised it was inappropriate and caused real distress to others. He has apologised for this and assured the BBC that there will be no repeat of this behaviour in future. Merry Christmas!
I actually found Ross not as amazingly interesting as I predicted. In fact i think RH had less contribution than the Blessed episode. RN was still great, but I have never felt he's not as crazy as his persona as I did on this...
Love this guy. Ross Noble has an unusual style of humour. I genuinely can't think of another comedian like him.
Well that's led to an afternoon of searching through Byker Grove vids to try and spot Ross...
Never a dull moment with Ross in house.
Ross Noble's Mel Brooks impression is impeccable!
Honestly, this is probably the best comedy podcast series... in the whole world.
Ross Noble cracks me up like few others can. Those extras stories had me rolling! 👍
I love you Richard Herring! Just had my wisdom teeth out and this is the perfect antidote! Can't wait to see Ross Noble live next month 😄
Bob Dobalina Sycophantic, yes. I guess they were right about not being able to think straight after anesthesia. Call it fangirling if you will. Glad you put me in my place though.
Been front row centre at two Ross shows. The guy is one of a kind.
I sat next to you
and personally I thought you judged him too harshly
Particularly good episode. Much as I love him on panel shows etc I've never really seen a longer interview with Ross. He's pretty damn amusing.
Cheers, Mr Herring!
Amazing stuff!
Great episode of rhlstp! Could have listened for another hour 💗
I discovered all this by accident why was this never a tv series
The Lesley Joseph stories are just perfect!
Someone please find a link to that Byker Grove Night Club scene..
I think in Australia they built a massive fence to keep rabbits or something out cross country
Amazing interview!!!! LOOOOL
Hair looks nice in this Richard.
Paul O'Grady was also in an episode of The New Statesman (also with Rik Mayall)
as Lily Savage.
I believe it was before his appearance on The Bill.
Thanks for another quality upload Rich!!!

Does anyone have a link to the police camera action (or police stop!) VHS he is talking about?
Its the Cinder Path, the Catherine Cookson film. I just described it to my CC fan Mum. I cant wait to find that clip.
Very enjoyable!!!!
I have been waiting since 10:30 (more than half an hour) for this week's RHLSTP. Please upload it forthwith for my viewing pleasure.
Best one yet.Ross is a comedy legend

Tim from The Office was in The Bill
Ross Noble is incredible at coming up with hilarious situations at the drop of a hat. Brilliant chat :-)
That last time Ross was on I just remember laughing at the story of how his house burnt down.

I'm going to have to buy Richard's book now.
Brain blessed vs Ross noble on rhlstp 48hrs of stories with not one of them repeated
Imagine Ross's Mel Brooks voice saying "to be honest, I thought you were Mickey Flannigan"
Mel Brooks to Alan Yentob, "We'll always have Paris!"
For the love of God why oh why wasn't there a camera filming the exchanges between Mel Brooks and Ross Noble/Leslie Joseph and in fact any direct interaction he had with the cast during the rehearsal process? Last time I was this early they put me in an incubator!
Ordered my beer yesterday. Received my beer today. Cancelled my subscription. Job done. You can also email or DM them on Twitter with account details.

The 'first best' episode of the series/season so far. I'm sure that'll be something I update as it progresses, but it'll take some beating.
Nothing better than number 5
I remember the Dubble Deckers
Saturday Mornings in Albuquerque, right after the Banana Splits
I went ooooh when rich said Jeffry died. I’d forgotten.
Well there's my choice of viewing this evening. Should be a good one ! * Edit - Brilliant stuff. :)
Rich, how come you’ve gone back to the old titles with Lou Sanders instead of Limmy?
You'd have to ask Chris Evans (not that one)
I'm starting to worry that Andy McH will never appear as a guest on this podcast. Please stop worrying us and put it right.
The older Ross Noble gets. The more he looks like Billy the Fish.
Who was?
@@davevikkuz6821
He was a character in Viz.
The resemblance is astonishing.
3 likes in a row and #707 liker each time, grateful. Time to buy another book, me thinks…
I want to go on a bike tour of afganistan with Ross. Make it happen.
Quality.
43:10 emmy emmy, grammy oscar... EEGO?
Say Ross be Noble 😂😂

Mel Brooks as a guest is the new Brian Blessed 'white whale' for Richard
I just want Ross to play the lead in a film of Mel Brookes life story lol

Yup, we make it pretty clear straight away that there was nothing to this.
Has Dr Buckles let fact checking Santa out again?
Why didn't you just get Ross back as next week's guest as well. Maybe with a fake beard or a limp?
"Allo. I am... Rod Scoble. My mother drives a tan- I mean, my father drives a submarine to work."
35:05
Take away Ross' locks (re-thatch?) and he becomes Scotty 'Too Hotty' Waites; stalwart of BDO Darts.
I've always thought he looks like Billy the fish from Viz.
thought Richard didnt drink. must have missed that episode!?
Is Beer 52 called that because they voted Leave
Nice muffin
no 1080p in 2018? and mics still popping, Even a fuzz cover on them would work wonders. Who is the sound guy on this?
Richard just needs to give Ross a whole evening. Why cut him short when he could easily do two episodes at once?
I actually found Ross not as amazingly interesting as I predicted. In fact i think RH had less contribution than the Blessed episode. RN was still great, but I have never felt he's not as crazy as his persona as I did on this...
Man, you are blathering and your insights are dull.
I don't find the Herring and Noble interactions work that well. Not a lot of chemistry going on.
Rubbish
The older ross nobhead gets the even more less funny he becomes.
'the even more less funny he becomes'.
Just wow.
