    As someone who drove limos, taxi, black cars in and out of NYC for 30 plus years, and now as I am on my first week as a new cdl graduate, hired as feeder driver at UPS's Meadowlands. I found your video very helpful and comforting by seeing a step by step how to drive a 53 foot trailer into NYC, through the GW bridge and down Amsterdam Ave. I appreciate you taking the time in the makingof this vidio,, with great commentary, maps, and your professional advice on every little detail that I may encounter . Thank you for a great job/Video and please keep them coming.

      @bill I don't know where you work at Bill, but I disagree with your opinion , I liked it there, and I enjoyed the 3 months that I spent working and training at the Meadowlands, I found that 99% of the people that were there were very helpful and Pleasant. The work environment was great, and it Exceeded my expectations of a work environment with that many people. the management was super nice, or at least they went out of there way to make me feel comfortable as a newbie there, Koz, the night shift manager was a super nice guy. But what else can I tell bill, except that thank God that it is a free country and you're entitled to yr opinion

    I've told myself for years now I'll never cross that bridge into NYC in any vehicle larger than a pickup truck. But I found out the new Middletown PA hub does have routes that take you into NYC.
    For $34/hr I'll take that big 'ol truck in there if I have to. I hope they'll at least train and teach me the basics of NYC in addition to this video I found. Thanks! I'm an off the street hire who starts training on the 10th.
    I'm willing to do nights and weekends, 100 turns, whatever it is. So as long as I don't get called in on one, I certainly won't be bidding on a NYC route.

      I’m a driver out of EZRPA and said I would never go to 43rd. Now on sleeper my bus for peak has us heading there. I’m not afraid, just have the seniority to not have to normally. But this video makes it way easier than I was expecting heading there tonight. And my B driver has never been there either so it’s an adventure for both of us 😂

    Fantastic video, I used your video on my first trip into M43 and it is 💯 spot on....I have also used your alternate path from South Jersey....really, really appreciate your work... extremely helpful for non NYC drivers....The only frustrating thing is when leaving M43, I would advise all drivers to check with dispatch on 179th street closure to GW bridge....got stuck there once when closed and fortunate another UPS driver came that way and I followed him to 181 st....alternate route to the GW bridge

    The first time I was ever at Times Square I was shocked to see a feeder driving through there heading east. I couldn’t imagine that there was a hub anywhere nearby in the middle of the city. I’ve since met someone who worked there and told me a lot about the building, the spiral ramps that you use to take trailers up five stories, etc. I was expecting you to drive through Times Square (which seems insane to me, by the way.)

    Just got hired a PU and D driver , is that the same as a feeder? also what do you think about T force? is it still going to be run the same? nobody really answers that question. they were pitching the union the pay and the benefits before I hired but nobody really knows whats going to happen with it being T force. do you think the union will stay intact? and insgiht would be very helpful!

    • @UPSLawnsideFeeders
      @UPSLawnsideFeeders  2 года назад

      If you work in Feeders you would be working directly out of a sorting hub, T Force is now it’s own entity but is still union and a union is only as strong as it’s membership, get involved, voice your concerns and learn labor law language the best you can to know your contract. As far as pay Feeders is the highest, Air drivers are a different class and a bit lower pay if that helps. Feeders nationwide has a master contract then different districts within the national have a supplemental contract that is voted on also
