This sounds great. Picked one up today and I like it. The bass does not drown anything out. Using the custom eq is the best way. The mids are very high, and the treble really comes out when you turn it up in eq. And coupling that with the eq on samsung phones makes it even better. Here's the thing though... it depends where you place the speaker and the surface it's on. Puting it on a table in a corner and slightly boxed in will bring reverb and deeper bass. It's better to sometimes place it on a higher surface because you hear the bass hit the surface. If you place it in the middle of a room, for example, it won't sound nearly as great and you'll get less bass. So choose placement wisely. Certain suraces and locations will help or hurt the sound. And always best to get 2 for stereo mode and set apart from each other (1 on left, one on right)
Thank God you can turn it off! I find it too boomy with ULT on, but I guess it's a personal preference. And it depends on what type of music you listen to. Sometimes it's cool to be on, sometimes I want it off.
I have these and the Bose. These Sony pair 2 in stereo sounds great and I like the fact they stay connected together when you turn them back on with Bose you have to pair them back together everytime.
two speakers are always going to give you real stereo sound, OR, you can go back to the 1970s for mono sound, even if really good speakers, still it'll be FLAT mono.
@DANNY POPS there is best way to balance the tinny sound from the marshall embreton and marshall willen on iphones by going to setting of apple music having the equalizer set to 1. Smallspeaker 2. Loudness 3. Increase bass If you set to these equiliser in apple music you will have nice sounds 👌
I just got the Sony ULT field 1 IN ORANGE, good bass better than the last releases BY SONY, but it’s just like the Flip 6 so many speakers replicate the flip 6 speaker design.
Imitation is a form of flattery. They all copy JBL because they've got the formula patent. I've had all those Sony SRS speakers and the JBL sounds better cause they're louder and clearer.
@@AxlAX yes they are I love Sony when I started collecting them listened to JBL wow the top 3 for me in speakers Bluetooth is JBL, SONY, and BOSE. SOUNDCORE AND TRIBIT ARE UP AND COMING A LOT OF COMPETITION OUT THERE THESE DAYS.
I noticed that the sound isn’t as vibrant when the ULT is off. BUT off it’s not on, new sure to choose the custom mode. Just by choosing this mood the sound greatly improves. Having the speaker sound set to ULT off makes it sound too tinny imo.
Hopefully getting the orange one for fathers day I’m a SONY FAN the Emberton was low never liked them my son loves them I thought the Flip 6 was holding its own. Nice video you present the speakers well in your presentations.
@@bruceyourface8330 I like the Willens clear sound the Emberton sounds dull to me I know it’s 360 sound etc it’s just not to my liking and the cost is high on that unit JBL AND SONY MORE DYNAMIC SOUND STAGE Tony liking. I know Danny loves Marshall there designs are cool.
@@billdepalma161 thanks for the insight, I'm planning on buying a portable speaker, emberton is one of my choice, as I will be playing mainly classical and maybe sometimes rock/metal. Emberton seems to have good clarity but rather weak on projection.
The new ULT speakers do sound great. But they still lack power through out the range. It also cuts off bass significantly as it gets over 60% volume. My observation. The flip 6 is still louder at 30 watts. Sony always under powers their products.
I have one, for me it sounds good, is a little speaker so you don't expect is wow outdoors. You may hear it not so far. I have too the xg300 and outdoors is better, it has more power. I have too the xb12 and is pretty good but.... Is a little speaker and you may hear it near. Is a mono speaker so you must consider this factor. The JBL FLIP sounds good until 50 or 60 ℅, after that is harsh and a little tiny
@@Gianni-tn2xg At 130$ with it's dimensions, this speaker is at a weird spot. I would totally pay 100 bucks for this, and comparison with Flip6 will be valid ...but when you are paying USD130, I don't understand why I wouldn't just choose a Charge5 which is actually closer to ULT 1 in both price and dimensions.
I feel like Sony got a bit of a downgrade in terms of mids and highs. They used to have pretty balanced sounds and a strong bass but now I feel like the warmth is lacking a bit and it sounded muffled. Thats what I've been noticing on some Sony products released prior to 2014. It's good but could be better.
Marshall is the best for anything none hip hop. Bose sounds so flat no matter what speaker it is. That Sony ult would be great for something that needs the kick.
To me personally, the sony sounds really good compared to their previous lineup
That's true 🎉
They have improved as well as JBL and Beats. They have caught up with Bose

This! Yeah as a pair the sonys are great, and easier to consistently use.
Keep up the awesome reviews!!
Detailed reviews and straight to the point!!👍👍
Its like the bass boost button on 80s/90s boom boxes! 😅
Enjoyed your review, Nashville for the win in this round.
Danny как обзорщик это глоток свежего воздуха на ютубе. Либо он тот ещё актёр..🥸🤓
Thanks, this was informative.
I'm split between buying a mid sized speaker like the bose max, or 2 smaller speakers in stereo.

Please can you do a comparison between ult field 1 and bose flex ...thanks
The two with the most balanced sound.. Bose and soundcore.

What they need is a 3.5mm input
Danny Compare Jbl flip 6 Vs Sony Ult field 1
GymCaddy and some other reviewers have been overhyping these a lot .. Aren't all that tbh, returned mine.
I keep wanting the Sonys to blow me away but their speakers so far have just been missing that special little something.

Far better? Not really. Affordable price? Most definitely
