In recent versions of V-Ray (3.60+) there is an option in V-Ray / Global DMC / Use local subdivs. This option is off by default, but if you turn on, then you can assign different (local) subdivs per each light, or per each value that is exposing subdivs (e.g. Material's Reflection/Refraction)
Your gpu is stronger than mine, but my cpu is phisically double. Hardware setup is obviousely very important, but scene's software settings are also relevant. A huge part of my university lectures here in Milan is related to scene optimization.

Do you know why the sampler is not active in the light parameter? I cannot increase the number. I am talking about the one you increased from 8 to 32

nothing special that time: Win7, 4Gb Ram and dual Xeon E5345
and nothing special in the gpu as well, there was a nVidia GT 630
oh mine is Nvedia GTX 960 4gb, RAM-8 Gb, Intel i7 6700k. But the render is kinda slow, I think its smtht to do with the render settings right?
