What's so sad at the end is that Vi has NO idea what visions and negative voices Jinx has been dealing with; she brings up Mylo and Claggor thinking it'd help steer her back to being Powder and has no clue she's making things so much worse.
Yeah, deep down I still think Silco pulled the gun on Vi so she would shut up and stop the mental breakdown she was creating for Jinx but I know it’s a very low chance that’s actually the case
@@ConjuredGhosts911 I think he was trying to shut Vi up, because he saw how Jinx was reacting to what Vi was saying and that's when he really started getting angry and finally pulled the gun.
It occurred to me, that the entire last scene, of Jinx' "teaparty" with Vi was actually an elaborate test - Jinx wanted her sister to love her the way she used to, before she was different, and the tests were practically her way of begging Vi to recognize her, Jinx, as her sister, instead of clinging to an old ideal of the innocent Powder she used to be. First Jinx brought the silver platter, implying it contained Cait's remains, she was hoping that Vi would still know or trust her enough not to believe the ruse. But Vi did believe her, failing the test. Second Jinx told Vi to kill Caitlyn to get Powder back - but she wanted Vi to say she didn't want Powder, she accepted Jinx. Vi refused to kill Cait, but did not accept Jinx, failing the test. Presumably she had more tests planned, but the whole thing went off-script as soon as Caitlyn broke free.
17:24 Monica : Underrated character Me: So who will tell her that Ekko is one of the most loved champions in the game 17:48 also fun fact, one of the writers confirmed that Vi is not the first girl that Caitlyn brought to her home
@@HungryGuy3 Since his release? Maybe not as popular as Ezreal, Ahri, Yasuo or Lux, but he is definitely up there, both in "cool abilities", great trailer for his release ("Seconds", defentily watch that video if you haven't) and general popularity. He didn't get to be part of "Giants" just by accident, along side Yasuo, Akali (also super popular character), Senna (most played champion at the time) and Qiyana (the most recent champion, and because *riot balance team being so good at their job as always*, the most busted champion at the time)
Marcus, ok. But Caitlyn is clearly not Asian. She doesn't really look Asian and Both her parents a classical British styled aristocrats. This also lines up with her original design as well as her name and culture. Literally nothing about her even suggests Asian except having slightly narrow eyes. But assuming something on that basis would be "racist" by today's standard.
To be fair to Silco he wasn’t really manipulating Jinx at the end he was telling the truth, Jinx really isn’t the same person she used to be and Vi refuses to acknowledge that, not to mention she unintentionally sets off all of Jinx’s triggers
Nah Silco's manipulating her from the start. For example he says Vi is here for the stone when he knows from Sevika's report that Vi didn't even mention the stone and only cares about Jinx. He has literally no idea whether or not Vi would accept Jinx as she is now, in fact he's terrified that she would because he'd feel abandoned and useless if she did so he's just talking out of his ass because if his relationship with Jinx isn't "exclusive" (as in if he's not the only person she trusts) he doesn't believe she would still love him. So he talks whatever bullshit he needs to make sure he's the only one she trusts. Silco and Jinx are similar in at least one way: They both have some serious abandonment issues. And Silco chooses to entertain those abandonment issues of his and to use Jinx's over telling the actual truth. Which is definitely manipulation. Neither Silco nor Vi created Jinx. The Council did. And Jinx already existed in episode 1 scene 1 when Powder was 5. Powder is and will always be a part of Jinx and vice versa. Vi does understand that Powder might have changed but she's not a different person as everyone claims. She's had this duality in her the whole time. Silco is the one who keep trying to change Jinx, he's the one who can't accept this duality, he's the one who can only love Jinx and not all that Jinx really is which is more than just that. He's projecting on Vi. Vi makes a lot of mistakes in big part because she only gets to have like 5 minutes of conversation with Jinx in the whole fucking show and everyone tries to tell her who Jinx is instead of letting her figure it out herself but there's no indication she can't accept her sister.
it's totally manipulating. Because Vi wasn't lying. Vi didn't say she could only be sisters with old powder, just that they were still sisters. It isn't black or white, but Jinx's BPD is prone to black/white thinking and Silco is manipulating her mental illness to his advantage. Yes he cares for her, but also yes he's an abuser. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
@@j.f.fisher5318 that’s kinda being very generous to Vi, sure she doesn’t out and out say that she could only be sisters with Powder but she has also at no point recognised that she’s Jinx now or that maybe she wants to be. She is adamant in her belief that underneath Jinx Powder is still there and if they can just get rid of Silco, in her mind the one wholly responsible for twisting her sister, then she’ll turn back into Powder but that just isn’t true
Easily, my favorite part is the Ekko vs Jinx fight. There really is no contest of what to choose. That scene covered SO much. From their childhood, playing around, to growing up as rivals. And the last part where he hesitates because he still sees Powder. And then her apologetic smile saying "sorry"....I just love it SO much!
i love your reactions because i could tell you're so laid-back and it's very apparent that you're enjoying reacting so much. some people feel treat this like a job(it maybe truly be for some) but it just feels like hanging out with a friend watching you
I love vi so much as well! I think it's partly the hailee steinfeld effect but also she's just so badass and the fact that she's written like the typical male protagonist but is a woman just makes me love her even more! Act 3 is definitely the best and my favourite episode is episode 8 because of the caitlyn and vi moments and the action in it is incredible as well.
Evereyone be like "Oh Ep7 cuz Ekko/Jinx moment oh and Ep9 ending scene is just so good" and I'm here ... clearly Ep 8 and 5 are the best cuz they have the best Vi fights in it and the cutest Vi&Cait moments!
These Arcane reactions were great! Thanks for doing it. Nothing is sure, but from the council Jayce and Viktor are actual heroes in the game, so they most likely will survive somehow. There is already a season 2 announcement with the voices of Vi, Caitlyn and Jinx, so we know for sure they will be season 2 as well.
I love the heavy use of Imagine Dragons in this series only for Hailee Steinfeld (Vi's Voice) to diss Imagine Dragons immediately after in Hawkeye. This series is phenomenal and beautiful. There were no characters that were truly bad and the last shot... Shivers. While it does not detract from the series not to have League knowledge, it enhances every scene so much more to know their future via the lore in game. They tease Ekko's powers over time in the fight with Jinx with the stopwatch. And Victor's future... it makes it even more tragic.
Counter-point without prior LoL lore knowledge: I thought it was an absolute gift to be able to discover/get introduced to, and grow with the countless characters of the series as the series progressed. I wish I could share that amazing experience with the likes of people who already know who Powder will grow up to be, and already know what Jayce's hammer weapon is capable of.
@@sofreshsogreen I mean, I didn't have much LoL lore knowledge before, but as I was watching it, I got more through mainly gaming news articles. So it was more an "after the episode I can look back and be like 'OH'" type of thing. There are 3 more champions implied by the series and I wouldn't have known if I had not done my "research". Either way, Arcane shines, because you don't *NEED* it either way. If you know, there are Easter eggs, if not, it's still a strong engaging story.
To defend Mel, while she _is_ clearly guiding Jayce, his decision to vote Heimerdinger off the councel was all his own after Heimerdinger threatened the one thing that could save Victors life. That, more than anything Mel said, pushed Jayce over the edge.
Mel is guiding Jayce but he makes his own decisions. When Mel suggest they should make weapons, he's conflicted. It's only after seeing the explosives bugs on the bridge that he realizes tech will always be used to make weapons. And he makes his hammer. Mel is clearly against violence and proposes a diplomatic solution during the council meeting. Jayce builds his hammer and almost starts the war on his own. After killing the kid, he realizes he can't live with the death of innocent people on his shoulders. "You were right, you were always right". Mel shows him the way but doesn't force Jayce to follow it. He eventually does because something happens and confirms Mel was right all along.
Mel's manipulation tactics hit home for me. The multiple times she provides a set of paths to take; one being her preferred path, the other a path she paints with it's flaws; and then she says "the decision is yours". The first time she does this with Jason has a literal fiddle being played throughout the scene. She does care about him, but in my own experience that doesn't necessarily mean her intentions aren't towards her own goals.
I disagree on her intentions being for herself. She clearly dislikes how selfish her family is, she says to her mother she sponsored HexTech to protect the city. She seems shady but she has good intentions.
@@LangkeeLongkee I agree with your disagreement there, I should rephrase: her agenda to protect the city is where she is using Jason to a degree. She cares about him, but he has the capability to fulfill her priorities to protect the people of Piltover. Using people "for yourself" can include doing everything you can to protect the ones you care about. Definitely agree that none of this is for the Medarta lineage, she is in her own realm and wishes to differ from her upbringing.
@@3dCraddock well I mean I still don't see it as for her, I don't think it's necessarily to protect the people she cares about, that was always her goal, when the only person she seemed to care about as an individual would have been Elora. She's a councilwoman, she's moreso doing her job and ACTUALLY taking it to heart, like Grayson. You can make the philosophical argument that everything is a transaction but to me if we're saying Mel is doing this for herself, she's doing it for herself in the same way she's "using" Jayce for sex and love, the same way he's doing it to her. Not using her meaning there's manipulate or malice there but that's the transaction they have going on, a genuine one, but a transaction.
Not just fiddle, but the cameo by the guy who wrote the violins for the whole soundtrack - listen for them on rewatch and you'll see how much they contribute to the mood of important scenes.
@@marcusc9931 Ray Chen's collaboration was incredibly deep throughout the show, yes. And it looks like part 4 of Bridging the Rift touches on this (im literally seeing it on my sidebar, released 5 hours ago as I type this. Stoked!)
The reason Ekko says what he says about Jinx to Vi is its implied he tried to rescue Powder himself and she wouldn't/couldn't leave Silco, which is why he is bitter and downtrodden when it comes to Jinx. Its also to try and convince himself that the one person he was closest to is truly gone.
the thing is, silco was a little right about Vi. jinx isn’t the same girl she was when they were kids and Vi was never going to accept that. When jinx brought out the tray and then said “i’m not THAT crazy” i think she was testing what vi thought of her in that moment, seeing if she thought she was a monster. and vi did for a second at least. silco had a toxic but caring connection with jinx. he did think they were the same in that it was them against the world. and with how he was betrayed by vander, i think he was certain vi would do the same thing and he didn’t want his daughter to be hurt like that. also of course the selfish desire to no lose someone close to him
The name of the song is "What could've been" but yea, it was made for this episode so, same difference. Also I don't think Silco manipulate jinx. I think he actually believe everything he is teliing her. Silco too is a severely damaged individual with massive trust issues. What he tells her isn't always true, but I think he believe it to be. That's kot really the same as intentionally missleading someone for personal gain.
I have been watching all this reactors and all said that Silco manipulates Jinx.. but as you, I don't think it is true. He cares about her, and believes that what he says to her is going to help her. They share a vision (kinda) and they have a deep bond for that reason.
i thought so too but in ep 6 vi tells silco shes gonna find her and erase whatever fucked up delusions he put inside her head. but in ep 7 he tells jinx vi was there for the crystal and not for her. i get it tho, he doesnt wanna lose his daughter
It's a bit of both. He's smart enough to know vi is likely there for jinx and that she be good for her, its why he's so erratic, he know vi is good for jinx... but he it not to be true and its causing cognitive dissonance, so he's rationalizing , he's trying to lie to himself as much as her.
@@SugerFreeJazz Vi isn't good for Jinx at all. Vi wants Powder...which would kill Jinx, because Powder is already dead. Vi wants to destroy Jinx, because she has no clue that Powder doesn't exist. If Vi were any more self-absorbed, she'd be worse than Silco. . Jinx (and Silco) needs help (that isn't available in that world because it doesn't exist at all), to get over the various mental illnesses and behavioral disorders they both have. There's no recovering Powder...that personality is just a phantom in Jinx's broken mind, now...it's just a fragment that still cuts her once in a while because of Vi. Vi hurts her constantly, and doesn't see it, and doesn't care...because Jinx doesn't matter to her...only Powder. And Powder only matters for Vi's own reasons, not because it's about what would've been best for Powder.
@@DoremiFasolatido1979 almost none of that is true. vi easily could have accepted "jinx." She only ever showed that she supported her dispite the things she'd has done.and was clearly willing to put in the effort going forward to figure their new paradigm. Does she now the right things to say to help her.... no because she doesn't know jinx.... but she wants to and that's more important. The only beak breaker would be killing silco and I think vi could have handle not killing him if it meant her sister. If they could have 2 week with out constant drama to talk it out they totally agree to build a new world together.
In the first act, we see that the Enforcers have to waer masks in the Lanes, because the air is so thick and Toxic. It seems that during Silcos time, the Underground bosses had the means to live somewhere where the air wasn't so toxic and they lost their immunity, or at least tolerance to it. Silco, on the other hand, stayed in the lanes. He can still breath it, because he regularly keeps breathing it in. Its his way of 'not forgetting your roots'
in the meeting the reason why he is not affected is in his statement: he's putting the room to the breathing conditions of the lower levels. the chem barons are so used to their wealth and ability to be in the best conditions now that they forgot how to live in the bad air of the underground. but since Silco is motivated by it, he never let himself forget, so he has better tolerance.
I have a theory that I want to pose to everyone reading this... In Mel's childhood flashback, while sharing how she'll revamp the castle, she mentions having a secret entrance only for royalty. Do you think she's installed that for herself in the council chambers, which she will use to escape the explosion?
could be used to escape the fire, but unless that golden undewear of hers is some kind of magical armor, it won't do anything for the actual explosion. My headcanon is three of them will survive because there are 8 of them in the room, and an Ult can score a pentakill at most :p
18:48 I actually think the "daughter" Singe (the mad scientist) is referring to is the creature he fed the purple plants and uses to create the shimmer. I think he is equating Silco's relationship with Jinx to his relationship with that creature, and how he watched as it turned into something unrecognizable due to the lengths he went to keep it alive.
Monica being my spirit animal by being all hot and bothered over Jayce being all bossy with Silco 😂 It should be criminal for an animated character to be this attractive 😅
I do not know what my favorit episode is, but I know which scenes made the most impression. Episode 3 the end scenes and the dinner scene in episode 9. They are emotional so unbelivable hard hitting.
Just so you know, the Writers managed to fight the Vi and Cait relationship to this point in a uphill Battle, because of Tencent. Riot belongs to Tencent and something like a Kiss would have been too much for them, since they wouldn't be able to paint them as "just friends" for the Chinese Market. They still did cut some things out in the end though.
@@toamszkozak8822 Yah true. I'm team Piltovers Finest all the way, but they've known each other for like 2-3 days. Not to mention taking down a crime lord, preventing war and saving your mentally ill sister takes priority over the pretty enforcer lady. And the fact that said sister just kidnapped everyone, shot a missile at the government and likely kill Cait's mom is a real mood killer. In other words, I'm for the gay, but not if it gets in the way of the story. What we got was the appropriate level of gay that won't distract us and will make us want more.
@@Dragonblade722 yeah, in season 1 Vi and Caitlyn did get a good build up and now in season 2 they can dive more into their relationship and develop them more
@@DreamFearless atheism is about religious beliefs and does not guarantee any opening on this side . I'm no expert but officially, same-sex relationship are legal in China. However, it is still very taboo and there probably isn't much support to be found outside of saying you won't go in jail for it. Seems like the government don't really like the idea of it being something "common". A few years ago, they passed a legislation to ban any abnormal relationship behaviors on TV, which include same-sex relationship.
Both Viktor and Vi have built in shields u can see Vis shield(from atlas gauntlet meant to protect the miners from falling debris) and I think we are gonna see Viktors shield in season two save both him and jayce but that's just a maybe
There’s a theory floating around that Mel is also wearing a kind of armor made for her (you see it shine a bit) that would offer some protection, thanks to her family’s warmongering upbringing.
@@sofreshsogreen maybe maybe but even if every single person there survives it doesn't change anything they were about to sign for peace and now there is no shot war can be avoided
You look so cute with that eye makeup fit with this vid so well 🥺❤️ and that finale was crazy!! there was so many ups and downs and they didn’t lack on the detail with the fighting scenes and even the outfits for each part 🙌
Monica: It feels like Cyborg, at least in the.... Me: ...the show Doom Patrol. Monica: ...Justice League. Me: Oh, right. Great reaction. Love the whole hearted interest in the show. Hopefully, there is a little more gay for all of us next season between Vi and Cate . Although love what we got.
They never specify, so i might be talking out of my ass, but to me Jinx' distainful way of calling Ekko "The Boy Saviour" Makes me think that he actually tried to save _her_ and Either she rejected him, or he got caught and had to run away without her, something. But she sounds so bitter, as if part of her _wanted_ him to save her, and when he didn't, either because he didn't try or more likely, because he tried and failed, she decided that he too, had left her behind. This would also explain his absolute refusal to believe Vi when she sais powder is still there. Maybe he tried to get "Powder" back and found only Jinx and now he is so disillusioned, that he is sure that Jinx is all that is left.
Or because everyone sees him as a hero while she is alone. They grew up the same way, a pair of Undercity orphans with talent for tinkering, lost their father figures on the same day, but turned out as polar opposites: He lives surrounded by friends who idolize him, creating gadgets that make their lives better, in a huge tree that thrives against all odds at the bottom of a ravine. She lives at the top, but it is the top of a dark mine shaft. She only has hallucinations for company, feared by everyone except Silco, and spending her time building weapons, her home a broken ventilator that does nobody any good because its potential was wasted.
Heads up for anyone who loves this show. Arcane has won 9 Annie awards. Design Production Character Design Character Animation Special Effects Voice Acting (Ella Purnell as Jinx) Writing Storyboarding Directing Best Animation Congrats to Fortiche for such an amazing show.
6:36 It turns out it was originally developed as a kind of plastic replacement for glass like acrylic, but in the Vietnam War is was tested as a would sealer and, after refining the formula to make it less caustic for skin, they nailed it down in like 2001. Love the reaction, just doing the extra research for fun.
"OMG, I’m still trying to process that finale! 😱 The emotions were off the charts, and the plot twists were insane! Monica, your reactions were so relatable-couldn’t agree more! What an incredible ride Arcane has taken us on. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the details and character arcs! 💜✨"
As a Bucky fan, I love that they had the character with a metal left arm cut the top of a star shape into a pattern of concentric circles during the Vi/Sevika fight. I choose to interpret it as a Winter Soldier nod, at least 😅 Silco was an evil person, but I will definitely miss him in season 2. Such a compelling villain!! Silco, Viktor, and Jinx are, by far, my personal faves... but the entire cast was very intricately layered and super well written!!
I really hope they solve the “plot armor” problem. Once you know who is a champion in the game, you know who lives and who dies. Luckily I first watch Arcane knowing nothing about LoL
@GraffitiTurtle sometimes it does. Rewatching the last scene, for example: at the table there are 3 champions and Silco. Guess who is gonna die? And in the council’s room: guess who is not gonna die? I repeat I’m glad I’m not a LoL player, but at this point I know some of them too
@GraffitiTurtle don’t get me wrong: it’s probably the best show I’ve ever seen. I never cried and empathize so much with certain characters. Just saying that, for example, ep.3 and 9 wouldn’t have been so impactful to me if I was a LoL fan.
Silco never manipulates jinx. Since everyone fixed silco as the bad guy from Episode 1, everyone thinks they are lying and manipulating silco. Silco is a troubled and broken Human, although not as much as Powder, due to his past fight with Vander (the betrayal issue). If you look through the eyes of silco without taking sides, you can see that everything he says to Jinx is true and he really believes in the things he says herself. Remember, in episode 3, silco saw himself in powder. Vander and violet, silco and powder are very similar to each other You can see this if you watch the scenes carefully without taking sides. The writers put such a wall on the silco's scenes that if you don't watch it carefully, they might make him call him a bad person throughout the whole series. I'm still in the 9.00 part of the video, I wonder if you will notice these details as you continue watching.
I totally agree... Maybe he wasn't the best human on earth but he was super nice to Powder. The only lie was when he found out Vi was alive and didn't tell Jinx, as she reproaches him later. However that was not to manipulate her in an "evil way" but because he was scared to lose her. Maybe it wasn't right, but it was a natural reaction from the fear of being alone again. The exact same fear Powder had wich also makes this two character so close to eachother.
Silco does manipulate Jinx. He repeatedly feeds her lies about Vi, telling her Vi only came back for the stone not Jinx, that Vi left Jinx, that the only family Jinx can trust and the only family she has is Silco. That's mental and emotional abuse 101: Silco cutting Jinx off from anyone who isn't him. For you to say it's not manipulation is a bit gross. It doesn't matter his motivations or his past - he is deliberately manipulating Jinx to keep her with him and not Vi.
@@seekingoutfriday Silco should for some reason believe Vi when he sees her hang out with an enforcer and beat up his second in command; on top of her being someone he strongly relates with Vander on how she left Powder just like Vander betrayed him. Idk about gross but that makes you sound dumb. Silco hates Vi and Vi hates Silco and if you say the latter is fine and the former is unwarranted then you simply didn't understand the characters.
@@govind.m86 Here's the thing... It doesn't matter if Vi hates Silco. You get to hate the man that killed your second father. Silco doesn't have that privilege that Vi does. And Silco confronts Vi in episode 6 where Vi explicitly says she is coming to bring Jinx back to her and Silco continues to feed Jinx lies after that. You're excusing abuse.
@@seekingoutfriday You should look at the characters in the series impartially. Jinx is not stupid, silco is not as healthy as Vander. Although not as much as powder , silco also has problems . I don't think you will understand what I write to you. Therefore, I recommend you to watch the therapist or analysis videos about the silco and jinx relationship. Your thoughts on Silco are wrong. That's all I can say.
Fortiche is a French studio and this story is very French. France was once Piltover and Zaun and one princess lost her head too. The visual themes remind the comic L'empire des milles planetes, and Vi and Jinx pants look like Obelix pants. Very French. France was near the craddle of renaissance era, and their artistic standards always were high.
I mean, the council may have wanted "peace" but like ... Even if Jinx didn't shoot them, it wouldn't have happenned, 'cause Silco wouldn't have given up Jinx and it was one of the demands to accept Zaun's Independance.
They could have made another compromise. Maybe they could have convinced the council that it wasn't actually Jinx. Or that Jinx is a different person and lock up someone else. The council don't know who she is really.
@@javencummins1426 Yeah, except for the fact that Caitlyn very much does know it IS Jinx, what she looks like and is close enough to at least two concillors to tell them the truth, so.
A couple people in the council have some strong ploy armor. So I'd he surprised if they all die. I'd not off the table they have already changed stuff.
How I emotionally process an ending like that: Turn to the nearest lower ranking soldier, shove his rifle into his chest, and say "Keep moving". But I'm really just talking to myself.
Silco had a villain to Father journey, rather he became Vander in the end, he was going to give up his dreams for the sake of his daughter, just as Vander gave up His dreams for Powder and Vi. The Ending was devastating. Jinx's POV was that Vi abandoned her Twice, once after Powder unintentionally killed her foster family, Powder did not see Marcus take Vi, she only saw Vi walk away after hitting her and calling her a Jinx and validating everything Mylo said was true, which ensured Powder was going to have severe PTSD and her abandonment issues were going to go into Warp. The Second time Vi walked away from her sister was at the bridge when Vi decided to Help Caitlyn over staying with Jinx and try to change her, which is why Jinx, rather Powder tried to kill herself. I think Powder did die either on the bridge or at the Doctor's operating table. It was Jinx who was revived. The Whole tea party was a test for Vi Whether she could accept her sister how she is, flaws and all, not just how she was. So the choice was never going to be Vi's. It is worth noting that Jinx Walks away from Vi this time. After firing the missile she just disappears leaving Caitlyn alive for the sake of Vi, I think. However Jinx realized Vi is part of her past and there is just too much pain and regret in Jinx's past being Powder, So Vi's sister has Cut ties with Vi. Even though Vi said nothing can change the fact Jinx will always be Vi's sister. Jinx views it now as Powder was Vi's sister not Jinx. I hope Jinx does not die in season 2 because she is now John Wick. Jinx will have the whole world after her wanting her dead. It seems the season 2 finale will be Jinx vs Vi and Jinx will die or at least appear to be dead after a huge fight. What a Greek Tragedy.
@@MonicaCatapusan Lmao, the main reason I am watching reaction videos now. I wanna see others went through what I've been through. Really just a few show leave me stunned like that
Only 5 people in the council chamber die, Jinx gets her pentakill (Game reference). Jayce and Viktor survive for sure, and either Mel or Caitlyn's Mom survives (only one of them). Mel has magical armor embedded into her flesh (that gold stuff isn't tacky skin jewelry) so I am leaning towards her surviving. Mel's mom is the only other candidate for the 3rd survivor spot, and that is due to a Lore event that may be superseded, by the minor rewrites done for the show adaptation. I the Lore Caitlyn becomes Sheriff because both her parents get kidnapped, but in the show she is already pretty much a shoe-in for Sheriff already.
Ekko has the power to reverse time by a few seconds so as soon as he got shot while fighting jinx, he reversed time and knowing where the bullet was going to be, he dodged it the second time. And yes when they were kids ekko was I love with jinx
Heimerdinger is kind and nice... just not GOOD. He is the well meaning patrician who fails to see or engage with the problems under him. I mean, it's nicer than outright corruption, but... Jayce was right, even if he didn't do things the best way. (He also SUCKED at explaining himself)
I think more people might have survived that weapon at the end. Mel was directly in the path so she should be least likely to survive (and killing her would be extra drama for Jayce), but she also wears some sort of form-fitting gold armor literally all the time - she didn't even take it off to sleep. It might be wishfull thinking, but there is at least a small excuse for letting Mel live. I think Victor might have exited by that point, so he might survive. Jayce put forcefields in Vi's gauntlets, so he might have something like that
About Silco’s last line - “You’re perfect!” I believe Silco wasn’t saying that to comfort Jinx, or show his love and acceptance (well, maybe, but that wasn’t entirely the point). That wasn’t Silco’s way. He was telling the priestess of chaos with the shimmery eyes who’d just set up a table for kidnap victims (definitely not Powder’s style) that _this_ version of her was perfect. Just a few moments beforehand he’d been yelling at Vi that “Her name is JINX!” And while Vi was trying to get Powder back, Silco was undermining her efforts. Telling Jinx she was perfect was his last sick twist of the knife, to convince Jinx that she didn’t need to change, that everybody else just wanted her to become weak little Powder again, that she’d become _not perfect_ if she gave in, and that _nobody else could tell her differently._ So go on, kill Vi and the other one, complete the weapon, continue our glorious work. _Show them all_
I disagree strongly. Y'all love trying to see him as worse than he is, cause he's a villain, it's impossible that be actually loves hic daughter and tried to do with by her? Silco always comforts her. He lets her do her head touches, he baptises her to ease her mind (he didn't even know Vi was back yet, he had no reason to go out of his way like that beyond genuinely wanting to give her peace of mind). He said "you're" perfect, not Jinx is perfect. He said you're perfect because at the time everyone wa sunder the assumption she was flip flopping and unsure if she wanted to be Jinx or Powder. He didn't tell her Jinx was perfect. He told her she was perfect, however she wanted to be, Silco gave her what Vi couldn't (not that I'm upset with Vi), Vi was living in the past she wanted POWDER back, Jinx felt betrayed that Vi couldn't love Jinx but Silco loves her no matter what, to his detriment, literally. The reason Silco wanted her to let Powder die was because being Powder caused her pain. He's not a good man. And he made mistakes as a father, but he loved her more than anything, no matter what. Yes he yelled at Vi that her name was Jinx, because JINX asserts as Jinx. Vi refusing to call her that is a rejection of who she, Vi is basically constantly deadnaming her. Jinx sees being Jinx as a good thing, she likes who she is. Silco rejects Powder because Jinx does, cause Powder represents her trauma. Look at how he freaked out and almost shot Vi at the end, he didn't do that because Vi was pulling Jinx to her side, cause she wasn't. Jinx was distressed at Vi's words, Vi wasn't there to get to know Jinx so she wouldn't know that but who would? Her father. He knew she was in pain, he was way more chill while Vi was actually making a convincing argument, but when Jinx is overwhelmed he loses it. Because he doesn't like seeing her get hurt. Because he loves her.
Also I'd like to add, this is Jinx's story. Not only does your take portray Silco as something he isn't, it also strips Jinx of her agency. Silco saying "you're perfect" instead of "Jinx is perfect" is giving her the decision to be whoever she wants, with the reassurance that he still loves her no matter what she choses. She didn't chose to be Jinx because of Silco, she wanted to be Jinx. She made that decision on her own. That was her choice and she made it.
@@LangkeeLongkee This is a very common theme from what I've seen. Those who hate Silco to the extreme are also the ones who think 'Jinx' is a mistake and want a 'better Powder', completing taking away all agency from Jinx as a person and essentially dumbing her character down to a mannequin.
@@govind.m86 Interesting. I'm not gonna say there's nothing wrong with Jinx, but what should be happening here is trying to help JINX not "get Powder back". There is nothing wrong with experiencing a trauma and reinventing yourself, there is no one side fits all for recovery but it works for some people and if that's what she wants to do she should be allowed to do that and be supported through it, not told she needs to go back to the version of herself that was walked all over. Jinx is traumatized, but 'Jinx' as who she became is not a representation of all the bad things she does, Jinx represents her becoming stronger, skilled, embracing her hobbies, feeling loved, if she got help she could be healthy and still be Jinx, but people don't want that for her. They want her to be that 11 year old again, but that girl grew up, she's allowed to.
Ok, basically Jayce, and Jinx are most likely alive as they are champions in the game, also the show does that follow the games lore, you should see how much they changed the characters physically.

Just remember Vi caused jinx to go off the deep end and KILL Caits mom. All she had to do was keep her lying ass mouth shut and almost certain jinx would have let them go..
Silco loves Jinx as she is. Vi wants Powder back. In the end Silco truly loves her and Vi loves who she remembers. She killed the only one who loved her
You asked how old they were while watching this and if I believe reading that Powder was around 11 in Act One which makes her 17-18 after the Time skip.
So finally you finished and now I can tell you who is a playable champion and who's not, So the playable champions are : Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Jayce, Viktor (you will never guess how Viktor looks in the game), Heimerdinger, Ekko and Singed (that doctor who works for Silco and knew Viktor), others characters like Marcus, Silco, Vander, Sevika or her Mom are characters that we never saw before and they were created for this show
Love your reactions, I'm glad you completed Arcane, can't wait for season 2, wanted to recommend this new Pixar movie on Disney plus Turning red, was hoping you could react to it whenever you can, Thanks for the content

Monica : Underrated character
Me: So who will tell her that Ekko is one of the most loved champions in the game
17:48 also fun fact, one of the writers confirmed that Vi is not the first girl that Caitlyn brought to her home

@@HungryGuy3 Since his release? Marcus, ok.
But Caitlyn is clearly not Asian.
She doesn't really look Asian and
Both her parents a classical British styled aristocrats.
This also lines up with her original design as well as her name and culture.
Literally nothing about her even suggests Asian except having slightly narrow eyes.
But assuming something on that basis would be "racist" by today's standard.
Vi: *breathes*
Monica: 😝
Why can’t she be real🥺💔
To be fair to Silco he wasn’t really manipulating Jinx at the end he was telling the truth, Jinx really isn’t the same person she used to be and Vi refuses to acknowledge that, not to mention she unintentionally sets off all of Jinx’s triggers
Exactly, people have that “villain bad” mindset so ingrained in them that they completely misinterpret Silco’s character and arc
@@Arkayjiya Agree, but he also does love her.
it's totally manipulating.

Gay panic is the correct response to Vi xD
Now to re-watch for the 6th time for the romantic plot😁
She’s so distracting😩
Don't you mean... for the ART? It's.... The ART, right?
I love the heavy use of Imagine Dragons in this series only for Hailee Steinfeld (Vi's Voice) to diss Imagine Dragons immediately after in Hawkeye.
This series is phenomenal and beautiful. There were no characters that were truly bad and the last shot... Shivers.
While it does not detract from the series not to have League knowledge, it enhances every scene so much more to know their future via the lore in game. They tease Ekko's powers over time in the fight with Jinx with the stopwatch. And Victor's future... it makes it even more tragic.
I think I laughed out loud watching Hawkeye.
Jinx "Sheesh, I'm not _that_ crazy!"
Everyone else: IM NOT SO SURE!!!
I love her purple tears after she accepted that she's Jinx and Powder is officially gone
IKRRRR, HOW COULD THEY LEAVE US HANGING LIKE THAT!?!😩😩😩
THEY DID US DIRTY FR
…..which explains why Powder appears in the mural of those they lost even though she’s not technically dead. (Arcane is a masterpiece.)
the thing is, silco was a little right about Vi. jinx isn’t the same girl she was when they were kids and Vi was never going to accept that. When jinx brought out the tray and then said “i’m not THAT crazy” i think she was testing what vi thought of her in that moment, seeing if she thought she was a monster. and vi did for a second at least. silco had a toxic but caring connection with jinx. he did think they were the same in that it was them against the world. and with how he was betrayed by vander, i think he was certain vi would do the same thing and he didn’t want his daughter to be hurt like that. also of course the selfish desire to no lose someone close to him
Silco was 100% right about Vi.

If I had a nickel for every time Jinx killed her adoptive father, I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
The sad thing about episode 7 is that Jinx was trying to kill herself :(
The finale was crazy. The last three epsiodes were intense.. Loved your reaction!
I love your reactions, really! Your personality is just... idk, *chef's kiss*. Take care, love ya!
This is so sweet thank you!!🥰
in the meeting the reason why he is not affected is in his statement: he's putting the room to the breathing conditions of the lower levels. the chem barons are so used to their wealth and ability to be in the best conditions now that they forgot how to live in the bad air of the underground. but since Silco is motivated by it, he never let himself forget, so he has better tolerance.
I have a theory that I want to pose to everyone reading this...
In Mel's childhood flashback, while sharing how she'll revamp the castle, she mentions having a secret entrance only for royalty. Do you think she's installed that for herself in the council chambers, which she will use to escape the explosion?
DUDE this is so good omg???? Headcanon.

In the final scene in the song, he has a locket with a girl's portrait in it.

Just so you know, the Writers managed to fight the Vi and Cait relationship to this point in a uphill Battle, because of Tencent.
They grew up the same way, a pair of Undercity orphans with talent for tinkering, lost their father figures on the same day, but turned out as polar opposites:

She lives at the top, but it is the top of a dark mine shaft. She only has hallucinations for company, feared by everyone except Silco, and spending her time building weapons, her home a broken ventilator that does nobody any good because its potential was wasted.

Nope, Jinx isn't the monster Silco created. Jinx is the monster Vi created, just as Silco is the monster Vander created. Parallels everywhere.
Silco is also also responsible just as Vi, and all of this already begin when Powder's and Vi's parents died in the begining of episode 1

39:21 This is how the story ends, with Powder fully becoming Jinx. For that story it doesn't matter who of the council survived and who died.
As a Bucky fan, I love that they had the character with a metal left arm cut the top of a star shape into a pattern of concentric circles during the Vi/Sevika fight. I choose to interpret it as a Winter Soldier nod, at least 😅
Silco was an evil person, but I will definitely miss him in season 2. Such a compelling villain!!

I think the show isn't canon to LoL, it has its own canon, which means they can kill off champions in future seasons.
that being said, they need to make Sevika a champion.
Vander and violet, silco and powder are very similar to each other
You can see this if you watch the scenes carefully without taking sides.
I feel like Mel will survive because of the way her armor glowed just before the missile hit, as if it was some sort of shield.
love your vibe
Fun fan, Finn (the Chem Baron who tries to take over) is voiced by Miyavi, the famous Japanese Actor/musician.
Poor Silco :(
That final song, the singer? That's _STING_.
Blew my mind when I found out.
Omg WHAT
That laugh at the beginning 😅
you have such good theories!!!
A couple people in the council have some strong ploy armor. So I'd he surprised if they all die.
I'd not off the table they have already changed stuff.
33:40 : MYYYYYYYYYY QUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!, FREKING LOVE UR REACTION♥
"I think he's (Slico) downfall is going to have to do with Jinx."
You are so right.
Monica: Ah the wink!!!
She means so much to me
How I emotionally process an ending like that: Turn to the nearest lower ranking soldier, shove his rifle into his chest, and say "Keep moving". But I'm really just talking to myself.
Wow your foresight is pretty great on this show.
Jayce and Viktor are characters in the game, so it's very unlikely that they're dead.
You simping for vi is so relatable cuz GIRL SAME- LIKE EP 5 HAD ME SCREAMING. Oh and did you notice Jinx called Cait Vi's girlfriend?
That's literally me after finishing the show sjsjs. just stay there processing the hell I just watched
I cut out a lot of my processing time, I was sat there for AGES trying to come to terms😭
@@MonicaCatapusan Lmao, the main reason I am watching reaction videos now. I wanna see others went through what I've been through. Really just a few show leave me stunned like that
07:10 6-7 years passed between ACT 1 and ACT2.
I love you so much I'm reacting with you and it's so fun
Thank you so much!! I’ve loved making these videos!
Brooo, this makeup 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Jayce put forcefields in Vi's gauntlets, so he might have something like that
7:08 - 10 years
About Silco’s last line - “You’re perfect!” I believe Silco wasn’t saying that to comfort Jinx, or show his love and acceptance (well, maybe, but that wasn’t entirely the point). Telling Jinx she was perfect was his last sick twist of the knife, to convince Jinx that she didn’t need to change, that everybody else just wanted her to become weak little Powder again, that she’d become _not perfect_ if she gave in, and that _nobody else could tell her differently._
So go on, kill Vi and the other one, complete the weapon, continue our glorious work.
_Show them all_
Bruh.
Lmao Monica really didn’t pick up the Jayvik vibes lmao
its cold quckclot.... the shit we use in the fields as marines.... I burns off all arteries and nerves when you dumb it into a wound.
"Can it blow up the whole city?"
Well No. But yes.

Just remember Vi caused jinx to go off the deep end and KILL Caits mom. All she had to do was keep her lying ass mouth shut and almost certain jinx would have let them go..
It's funny but not many people know that the last song of the season is sing by Sting
So finally you finished and now I can tell you who is a playable champion and who's not, So the playable champions are : Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Jayce, Viktor (you will never guess how Viktor looks in the game), Heimerdinger, Ekko and Singed (that doctor who works for Silco and knew Viktor), others characters like Marcus, Silco, Vander, Sevika or her Mom are characters that we never saw before and they were created for this show
❤#arcane ❤#netflix ❤your reaction
I love your reaction you so speechless just think want happened in the episode.
Te final song... performed by STING! That wasn't fair of them to do to us! It wrecks me every time I hear it!
Love your reactions, I'm glad you completed Arcane, can't wait for season 2, wanted to recommend this new Pixar movie on Disney plus Turning red, was hoping you could react to it whenever you can, Thanks for the content

idk if anyone said but marcus is asian too, not just finn, caitlyn and her dad. i know the australian accent is distracting though lol
Marcus, Cait's father, and Caitlyn (half) are all Asian as well, by the way haha.
