Welcome to the souls games buddy, Elden Ring is amazing and gives all the tools necessary to beat the game if u have the patiente to explore. Hope u enjoy the rest of the game 👍
I haven't seen the video but when it was shown to me one the front page I thought "His channel is called Father of Kos - yeah, probably an assload of hours.".
@Father_of_Kos YES 😭 I started that second playthrough IMMEDIATELY after finishing the first, and it took all my willpower not to start a third. I'm addicted. But the next game I play will probably be just Dark Souls 2
Dark Souls 1 is so good I still find myself playing it again again and again. I have over 300 hours in DS1, since the replayability is so good. Elden Ring is fun too, but I don't like it as much, because you spend like half of the playthrough riding Torrent. Otherwise it's perfect
1. ER (228 hours), 2. DS3 (162 hours), 3. Sekiro (125 hours), 4. Bloodborne (73 hours), 5. DS1 (56 hours), 6. DS2 (45 hours). I haven't played Demon Souls and I've only been playing Soulsborne for 5 months.
I already have told you my stuff😁 I'm not a challenge runner, so I don't spend my time on those things...my best experience is always the first one because my most favorite thing in games to do is analysing bosses and finding new and new ways to abuse them (scripted animations, attack weaknesses, AI behavior, strafing if it's possible, all that stuff). And of course the very fact that I try to find every single boss possible to kick their asses and I'm always exited about how many strong creatures I will find🤩
Yes u have told me ur times Mr Sargatas surprised u dont do challenge runs since u like learning so much about bosses, speedruns are quite the experience because evolves memorising a ton of things allong the way, bosses strategies items to pick, weapons to use, pathes to take, if u ever try it I recommend Dark Souls 3, it's very linear with its route and ur fighting bosses all the time.
@@Father_of_Kos I just don't like restricting myself. I prefer to use everything I can find in the game to abuse it: builds (except oneshot ones, those are for subsequent playthroughs for laughs), stats, unique features, posture breaks. No restrictions. Very few bosses can fight with me on equal terms when I use everything. That's exactly what I'm exited about. I want to find the strongest ones. To fight in full power. That's about challenge runs. Speedruns are different. I have very good instincts, but very bad memory. Speedruns demand remembering lot of little things, tricks, glitches and other stuff. It's too stressful for such lazy and forgetful person like me. But I want to try one challenge run in Lords. In NG+ there are lots of modifiers like "almost no bonfires" or "randomized enemies/loot" or "if you die, you start anew" etc. I wanna turn on everything and see what will happen😁
@@Sargatas It does require good memory indeed, not that I have one I just used to have much time to game and I had it all written in a paper on the first attempts untill everything became just routine. Good luck for the Lords Challenge, pretty sure U will suceed 👍
@@Sargatas Its an idea, and no I havent, my son has been sick so not much time for gaming, just doing some youtube videos when mummy arrives home. Maybe next week we shall see.
My top 3 most played are: 3. Sekiro (272 hrs): I just love playing this game. The combat and boss fights are genuinely addicting. Sometimes I just boot up the game and use the rematch system to fight my favorite bosses just for fun 2. Dark souls 3 (367 hrs): due to the game having a ton of super fun bosses, a good amount of build variety, and being relatively short and linear, I find it very fun and easy to replay, especially on occasions when I don't have a ton of free time 1. Elden ring (1378 hrs): pretty self-explanatory. Limitless build variety, best open world I have ever seen, and a huge variety of awesome bossfights. It was also my first fromsoft game. I didn't know how to play these types of games back then, so my first playthrough alone took 350+ hours lol. I enjoyed every single second of it, though, and it's probably the single most legendary gaming experience I have ever had
@Father_of_Kos yeah I would just mark every point of interest on the map and go for it. I also spent a ton of time learning bosses that people don't really spend much time on. Tree sentinel is the obvious one, but I also spent a bunch of hours on Loretta, Leonine Misbeggotten, Black Blade Kindred, Crucible Knights, Elemer of the Briar, Red Wolf etc. I also just could not stick to one build. Kept finding new weapons and wanting to try each one that my stats could wield, I ended up farming a bunch so I could upgrade all of them. Spent a bunch of time goofing off with friends in coop as well. I went in with the mentality of someone who has never experienced souls, and I ended up having fun on even bosses that I really dislike now. Like for godskin duo and basically every other gank fight I thought to myself: "Oh, there's two of them, so the game probably wants me to summon spirit ashes for help." Oh what I wouldn't give to play this game for the first time again 🥲
@Father_of_Kos I think it's especially enjoyable for someone who is completely new to the souls genre. A major part of my enjoyment was spending time learning the mechanics of the game and overcoming these obstacles that once felt impossible. They might make another game like ER, but I doubt my first experience with it would be as amazing as my first ER playthrough, since I'm better at these games now, and that sense of overcoming impossible odds just isn't there anymore
DS2 SotFS 80 hrs, first souls game, dropped. I learned how to level up only after 50 hrs spent in sea ruins. I honestly thought these hulking Knights are MEANT to be dealt with by luring into falling off the bridges, and this is how I cleared the area and the boss. But the pirate cave was too much for my humanity. Sekiro. 178 hrs. 2 runs. Still owe a visit to the Sculptor. Bloodborne. 221 hrs. Played it last. 2 runs. DS3. 687 hrs. First souls game I really got into and beaten. My favorite game of all time...till the next one on this list arrived. ER. 1735. What can I say. I'm an addict. I don't do any "runs", have mb 150 hrs in the Coliseums, everything else is just new playthroughs, sone of them 200+ hrs long. Never did any NG+ cause it's boring for me.
