I can’t believe this is just gone now. It holds such a place in my heart and my childhood. Even though the chances are unlikely I really do hope Disney has a change of heart and brings this classic back. It has such a great soundtrack too! I also like how there is somewhat of a story here, just wish it was expanded upon over the years. It was truly a chilling and unique horrifying ride. Miss you dearly Ghost Galaxy!

It could've had a negative response that Alien Encounter did - where parents complained about it being too scary. I think the best way to bring it back is having it a night time exclusive ride - just flip the switch after a certain hour and make it ghost galaxy around 6 pm, which monsters after dark does.
I remember them doing this, and the projections on their own aren't scary, but with the sounds, it instantly becomes so much creepier. I miss this overlay, and they should bring it back.
2:27 & 5:16 are awesome. I love the sound of 2:32. Especially at 2:47, it sounds like something from a space horror movie. Speaking of space horror movie, the sound also reminds me of the siren from Alien! To me, it sounds badass. 3:33 is eerie. Seeing the Ghost's hands grazing the inside walls of the Mountain is creepy. Knowing that it's inside the base, waiting for you.... 5:50 is cool. I like the radar sound at 6:27.
I think I know what’s going on here, this preshow thing is telling us a story that Ghost Galaxy is trying to escape the mountain, but who Ever has it in there, won’t let it out.
It's almost as if whoever has it captive is trying to hide it from us, they rebuild it when destroyed, made it strong enough to withstand slashing, lightning, it pushing on the walls, and a big explosion, and they even have a radar on it to show both where it is and where it is hitting the inside of it
see this was actually cool I would come to disneyland during halloween to witness this please bring this back stuff like this is what made disney unique

Disneyland more like Creepypastaland also the projections look like they have some lore in it imagine Ghost Galaxy lore and universe that would be cool (some one make a detailed video on the lore of this ride)
Because the Disney world space mountain is in universe pubic transportation and the Disneyland mountain is more military. So it just would not make sense
Disney Worlds Space Mountain doesn’t have speakers in each of the ride vehicles. The absence of the soundtrack of the ride would make it significantly worse

They only didn’t bring it back because hyperspace mountain, ghost galaxy will probably return plus there is a warning on the ride that warns them that the ride is frightening but honestly for me the ride isn’t even that scary maybe for 5 year olds maybe but I was too dumb to get scared at that time I rode when I was 5

The whole concept of an entire haunted nebula gaining sentience is magnificently creepy, and the sound design here is top notch.

actually at 2:58 It shows the mountain being destroyed by the ghost and collapsing at 3:03 and the green grid is the mountain rebuilding itself.
