The story is far clearer and easier to follow in Tokyo than in the other parks. Also the pacing, animatronics and the lighting are much better. I think this is the best version.
Anaheim's Splash Mountain's soundtrack is unique with jazz style, fitting the location of the ride (near New Orleans Square) and the banned movie Song of the South.
Maybe Critter Country in Tokyo Disneyland is just an expansion of Splash Mountain where the name can refer to the Splash Mountain's harbor, as well as Beaver Brother Canoes harbor where the Splash Mountain ride is actually located in Westernland.
In Tokyo Disneyland, the sub-themes of Critter Country are: -Palo Duro canyon of Texas -Rio Grande river -New Mexico -Route 66 -Western town -Georgia (for the Splash Mountain), where Song of the South is based on.
I love the schoolboys. I do the EXACT SAME SHIT with my friends... we start going on and on about the big drop even when it's just the little one at the beginning. Ain't no shame in being loud and obnoxious... it sort of makes it a lot more fun.
at 7:00 do did you hear that gopher yell out FSU, He did. The little gopher may sound like he’s sneezing, but if you listen carefully, he’s actually saying “FSU!” This is a nod to Florida State University, alma mater of at least one Disney Imagineer who worked on the ride.
Ale Ing Florida and Japan's Splash Mountain share same audio but in Japan's Disneyland most words were reworded into Japanese, the music for both Florida and Japan's ride uses banjos and harmonicas because the ride's area has western style setting and the ascents become mine shafts. In California the music is unique with jazzy style for the ride's close proximity to New Orleans Square.
I got a log in magic kingdom once full of cursing teenagers who thought the song lyrics said "pretty good show us your balls" so they would scream that. It made the ride even more entertaining
I'm surprised to see how many people are so bothered from the screams of the boys. One, this is not a rare sighting, people talk on rides here at Disneyland too. Second, if one is talking about how much they talk also consider that this is TOKYO Disneyland and it's a completely different culture and customs from what one may know. Anyways, with that being said, I'm always so surprised how each Splash Mountain have minor differences from the one in Anaheim. ..of course that one was made with a constricting budget.
Itstephaniie this one is a clone of Florida's with two differences: 1) Slippin' falls, the first small drop is indoors in Tokyo when it's outdoors in WDW. And 2) it's a mirror image to Florida's Layout. Meaning the turns and stuff are the opposite direction from Florida's. Other than that, it's the exact same.
I don’t think people should be bothered by the boys talking since their having fun and the ride seems to filled only with the boys (and the camera man) but other than that, them being loud is more of the young adult, extrovert thing rather than a culture thing
My cousin and i went on it back in 2k16 summer and at the first small drop we could see this guy on a log by himself and he was in a tuxedo and tapping his phone he had the funniest face when he went down. At the end of the ride where those pictures were there was a picture of him with a hysterical expression with his phone flying.
By filming in the back it looks like you got a better shot of the view of the park at the top of the big splash. At least compared to the other videos I've seen.
when i went to Walt Disney World sometime in May this year and got on Splash Mountain, we got to the part with the vultures (which were CREEPIER than these) and they STOPPED the ride due to a back-up or technical dufficulties..... i look over at my friends next to and behind me and was like "uh.... why'd we stop?.... i don't LIKE this one bit" and the vultures (aside from the intercom saying they were fixing the issue) kept GOING for like three somethin' minutes after until we went down the drop.... after we got off, i said "i hate vultures..."
@nickhutson Yes and no. The Florida version has the first bee room but that is where Brer Bear with the bee hive is and Brer Rabbit about to be captured. It is there in both, this version just has a larger focus on the bees.
We got into the line when the wait time was showing 150mins...it almost took 3 hrs by the time we were seated..it was hell lot of waiting in queue but the ride didn’t disappoint us..
I disagree, the ride is the same length. Secondly, I would be hard pressed to say the animatronics are better. most of them are exactly the same as the Disney World ones. If your speaking of the Disneyland Splash Mountain then yes Tokyo has much better animatronics. But we have to remember most of them predate the original ride. I prefer Disney world Splash Mountain, but hey, that's just me. (Why did I write this long response on a comment about Splash Mountain XD)
It's the same because this is a mirrored version of WDW Florida's. Only difference besides that is that Slippin' Falls takes place indoors instead of Outdoors.
Michael Morrow Yes the terrains color of the ride is also like western canyons instead of original reddish Georgia looking coloring as in California Disneyland.
The bluegrass soundtrack matches the location of Tokyo's Critter Country which is near the Westernland. The Critter Country resembles Texas and New Mexico while in California it resembles New Orleans bayou.
BEAKER6868 Anaheim's soundtrack uses big band jazz style due to being built next to New Orleans Square to bring the bayou feel while this Tokyo DL ride has rather Western characteristics where TDL's Critter Country's setting is themed to American Frontier (Texas, New Mexico etc) and the music is country bluegrassy feel with banjos etc to bring Western feel and also has 4 drops.
I went on the US version about 10 years ago Im sure the drop was huge compared to this one in Japan. I hope eventually there will be a Disneyland London, instead of having to go on holiday to go to the other DisneyLands.
Nuggetlover96 i'm a big brer rabbit fan, have an old walt disney adapted versions of a good amount of stories passed down from my mom, and the copy right says the it's from the 70s i think..
I'm really jealous that the animatronics here are a billion times better than the Splash Mountain in Lake Buena Vista. This one is REALLY clean too. The one at LBV is always really dusty. They need to clean up and fix the AA's at the one in LBV!!!
@2015AsM Japan has school uniforms-- You see the same thing a lot at England theme parks on 'school days out to a theme park' in the Summer. It's not uncommon to get about 15 people in a row queuing for a ride all in the same school uniform, because classes usually split into two groups, with a teacher leading each one.
Critter Country of Tokyo Disneyland is the park's margarita earth due to themed to Texas and New Mexico where margarita trails ever took place on those south-western US states and those states are also having unique recipe margaritas.
@msladysaurus It's either too hard to translate the lyrics to match the music or Disney wants to keep some of the ride's original origins in there. I don't know why they do that though...
This is surreal. So this ride was constructed from parts of America Sings in Disneyland, and represents a story based on southern america, in particular a movie that is said to be racist, and its been recreated animitronic character by character in Tokyo....and translated into Japanese. I have to say that's really really strange.
I find it weird to see a bunch of characters that took place in late 1800s Georgia and Texas would speak Japanese. I know this is Tokyo Disneyland, but I feel that.
I wanna go and try the disneyland in japan one day in the future probably next year or in two years when I go with my cousin :) it looks super fun and kinda different then hear in Cali.
Nope, still is, but only in the US
It's located in Critter Country? And it honestly doesn't sound jazzy to me.
In Florida and Japan Disneylands the music is country western flavor where the ride is located in such desert-themed lands.
Maybe Critter Country in Tokyo Disneyland is just an expansion of Splash Mountain where the name can refer to the Splash Mountain's harbor, as well as Beaver Brother Canoes harbor where the Splash Mountain ride is actually located in Westernland.
In Tokyo Disneyland, the sub-themes of Critter Country are:
-Palo Duro canyon of Texas

at cashing in on other peoples stories..
edgieb oh shh
Wouldn't you rather praise the original creators of these stories. I'll let them have the lion king though
Disney re-created them I know
edgieb Yeah because its one popular movie its the worse thing when it copies someone. Its happens all the time, get over it.
I love how this ride has bigger drops and proceeds to suspend your log's movement before dropping you. It makes the ride much more entertaining.
I've visited both Disneyland and Disneysea in Japan and they're both extremely clean, it's great.
at 7:00 do did you hear that gopher yell out FSU, He did. The little gopher may sound like he’s sneezing, but if you listen carefully, he’s actually saying “FSU!” This is a nod to Florida State University, alma mater of at least one Disney Imagineer who worked on the ride.
Really? I know that happens at the one in WDW in Florida, but why would there be a reference to FSU in Tokyo?
Same audio tracks for those characters.
Japan's Critter Country is themed to Texas and New Mexico as Frontierland does.
I love their reactions to the last drop 😂
Oh boy, you got the log full of teenage boys.
Effekt Und mach ew
I got a log in magic kingdom once full of cursing teenagers who thought the song lyrics said "pretty good show us your balls" so they would scream that. It made the ride even more entertaining
That.. is...the...funniest...thing...I've...ever...read
@@jollyrancher9304 Now I will never hear that song the same way ever again!
i love that ride
Old comment of a big fnaf youtuber. Keep it up!
Wow didn't know you where here, I love your content! 👍
Those boys... so funny... I always come back to this video now and then lmao
I'm surprised to see how many people are so bothered from the screams of the boys. One, this is not a rare sighting, people talk on rides here at Disneyland too. And less falls
Actually the same number of falls, it's just Slippin' Falls (the first small drop) is outdoors in WDW but indoors at Tokyo Disneyland.
YES, everything is on the opposite sides
But the audio, and the soundtrack. Oh and effects, they are the same with ANIMALTRONICS in different areas and positions.

Thanks so much for uploading this! I've never seen this ride before, and watching it made me feel like I was really there. :D
This ride is SO beautiful! ❤
I'm not surprised that Splash Mountain in Tokyo has better animatronics, considering the fact that Japan has better technology than USA.
Considering that the original one was built in the last century, and that most of it's animatronics were re-used from an older ride, yes.
Cregon it looks just like the one in Florida lol also Japan doesn’t have better technology it’s still common to use fax over there
Wow, those boys on the ride with you sure are loud and obnoxious, lol.
Yeah, it's like they've never been on a log flume ride before.
They are just having fun!
El Pollo Loco 51
I was not being mean about it. You took my tone wrong.
Its hilarious seeing them get excited for the drop on the ride i laughed
beautifuldancer ASIANS!!!
Out if all the Splash Mountains this is the best one no contest
By filming in the back it looks like you got a better shot of the view of the park at the top of the big splash. At least compared to the other videos I've seen.
Is it just me, or does Disneyland Tokyo's Br'er Rabbit look more like the one from the movie than Disney World's or Disneyland California's
Nuggetlover96 I think so to
The best thing about the ride is that it always makes you think the huge stop is around the corner
The wider logs are what stand out to me here.
You live near the west coast then
when i went to Walt Disney World sometime in May this year and got on Splash Mountain, we got to the part with the vultures (which were CREEPIER than these) and they STOPPED the ride due to a back-up or technical dufficulties..... i look over at my friends next to and behind me and was like "uh.... why'd we stop?.... i don't LIKE this one bit" and the vultures (aside from the intercom saying they were fixing the issue) kept GOING for like three somethin' minutes after until we went down the drop.... after we got off, i said "i hate vultures..."
I thought I was the only one that hated those vultures.....
They call them the "Boot Hill Boys".
That turtle at 5:21 is absolutely terrifying. Those soulless eyes. . . *shudders*
what are you talking about? he's adorable...well I find him adorable
すげー高画質wwなんか本当に乗ってる感じがするww
Southern USA talking animals speaking Japanese. Best Anime. 10/10
i shouldnt be suprised but the animatronics are really good in splash mountain and the lipsync (considering they are animals).
Seems like the guys in front are having a good time. Good.
@nickhutson Yes and no. The Florida version has the first bee room but that is where Brer Bear with the bee hive is and Brer Rabbit about to be captured. It is there in both, this version just has a larger focus on the bees.
i think it's so cool that this splash mountain goes in the opposite direction as the ones here in the US :P
We got into the line when the wait time was showing 150mins...it almost took 3 hrs by the time we were seated..it was hell lot of waiting in queue but the ride didn’t disappoint us..
you're a real peach for posting this video, but I sincerely hope your camera's waterproof.
I'm from Miami, Florida. My girlfriend and I want to go to other disney's around the world she wants France but I gotta say I want Japan!!!! =)
Man I wish they would re-make orlandos splash mountain like this one first of all its longer and has better animatronics but I still love orlandos
Michael Morrow Yes the terrains color of the ride is also like western canyons instead of original reddish Georgia looking coloring as in California Disneyland.
its fun to listen to their conversations
Obviously, I LOVE THIS RIDE (or the one in disneyland CA).
is that a hidden Mickey 6:11 on the red mushroom?!
Ale Ing Yes, most likely.
9:44- I've noticed that fox guy on the ferry is missing in the Tokyo version.
The foxes are only in the Disneyland version, since they were from the America Sings attraction
The bluegrass soundtrack matches the location of Tokyo's Critter Country which is near the Westernland. The Critter Country resembles Texas and New Mexico while in California it resembles New Orleans bayou.
Probably those boys' first time on Splash Mountain. They were probably like "WTF is with these animatronics?!" LOL
how interesting. the logs on this one can fit two people in each row. here (Anaheim), it's only one person per row.
I wish this version was in Disneyland (Ca)! Even in Japanese!
Lawrence Dilley haha no
I agree. this is so much better than Anaheim's version.
BEAKER6868 Anaheim's soundtrack uses big band jazz style due to being built next to New Orleans Square to bring the bayou feel while this Tokyo DL ride has rather Western characteristics where TDL's Critter Country's setting is themed to American Frontier (Texas, New Mexico etc) and the music is country bluegrassy feel with banjos etc to bring Western feel and also has 4 drops.
your favorite high school anime characters would probably do the same thing riding this
Did this one always have lap bars?
my favorite ride of tokyo disneyland bc it's a very long ride 😂😂😂
The hype levels were real with these boys
so u try to tell me that there's a disneyland in japan? :o i always thought there were only the ones in paris & orlando..my life is a lie
8:10 mark, the big drop
This looked like a total blast as well. Again a bit scary but I'd do it
I went on the US version about 10 years ago Im sure the drop was huge compared to this one in Japan. I hope eventually there will be a Disneyland London, instead of having to go on holiday to go to the other DisneyLands.
that ride experience is similar to Magic Kingdom, but the track layout is mirrored, and it's fine.
These animatronics are very quality.
Love your icon
Nuggetlover96 i'm a big brer rabbit fan, have an old walt disney adapted versions of a good amount of stories passed down from my mom, and the copy right says the it's from the 70s i think..

Great job. Now where's my Tokyo Space Mountain crack- I mean video. There are literally no good videos of that.

this is amazing but its sad that Brer Rabbit has a massive black thing coming out of his back when he's hopping along.
Wolf Heart that was a machine
@msladysaurus It's either too hard to translate the lyrics to match the music or Disney wants to keep some of the ride's original origins in there. I don't know why they do that though...
I wish the upkeep of the California version was better. Tokyo's Splash Mountain seems to be running at 100%.
It's just slightly longer that DL by like 1 minute but this and the one in WDW is the same length.
So I hear this drop is a little larger than Florida's?
Brer Rabbit is hiding on 5:46
高校生おもろ
If you're on a school trip, take up the whole boat. That's what we did and it worked out perfectly.
@peppapowers its a log flume which doesnt move fast and it has to hold all te story in the ride
Oh the track of this splash mountain flows the opposite way of the ones in the US
Everywhere APART from the UK has such amazing theming on rides...gah.
The rabbit at 3:45 has such a cute voice.
no, this is the school uniform! Here in Japan we use uniform :) lol
I love this ride. :::: =
I remember when I was on it ; )
This one is a lot better than the one in Florida
Toxic Waste I think flordias is the best
+Toxic Waste, I agree. There's more of the story here.
it's like half disneyland and half disney world splash mountain
i didnt get to ride it when i went there :(((((((((( LOOKS SO COOL!!!
Dinseyland,Paris needs splash mountain
That's not going happen
So it's not called splash mountain in Japan?
Is it just me or was this made backwards?
themeparkreviewTPR have u guys been to magic king

0:44 Japenese people like: "whoa what an crazy fast lifthill!! "
It ish soo awesome !!!! 8D i went on it 2 times when i visited Disneyland !! .. I miss it :c
The Japanese boys make it even cuter and funnier 💕
I know right 😀
Pastel-princess-mochi I'm a boy but I agree .__. Jk that kinda gay

haha omg. i thought there were the ones only paris & orlando..they should build one in germany :D
is it white shirt day???

My Splash Mountain is in Disneyland.
There's a lot more stuff inside this one then in the US.
TankCop but this is mirrored to the one in Orlando’s legit the exact thing only difference is the music because Tokyo’s version is in Japanese
I find it weird to see a bunch of characters that took place in late 1800s Georgia and Texas would speak Japanese. I know this is Tokyo Disneyland, but I feel that.
+raneltheleaf well its also weird that a bunch of chracters from crabian pirates would speak english
Over at Tokyo DisneySea, Indiana Jones is speaking Japanese.
@MultiSpider87 i just think they get a free plastic thing to cover wen they get wet...
I wanna go and try the disneyland in japan one day in the future probably next year or in two years when I go with my cousin :) it looks super fun and kinda different then hear in Cali.
i love this ride
when i saw the time i was like 10 MINUTES OF LOG RIDE YAY!!! :)))))) xddddd
zippidy dooda zippidy ay
im so jealous of their hair.
But why they kept Laughing Place in English?
i would like to ride with loud people cuz i get nervous when i ride these rides XD
Me too I'm a coaster enthusiast but I'm affraid of roller coasters
Uriel Galindo Wut... How do-does that even work?
Archie M Ticehurst Lol whell I rode coasters but I'm always very anxious when I ride coasters I never rode
Great now I'm in the Disney spirit and I'm poor as shit. Thanks
why the hell are there 2 big birds in a song of the south ride?
