  • I visited the school I began in the US which is now run by Lee King to train. The assistant instructor is Chris Currie (2023 Pan American Silver Medalist) showed me a technique that he had come up with for controlling and reversing his opponent when caught in bottom side control.
I liked it so much that I asked him to share it with me.

That’s nice!! I use the lapel a lot in that bottom side position - often as a distraction or bait because where I train not a lot do lapel stuff, so I’m DEFINITELY adding this gem to my game. THANK YOU for HYPOTHETICALLY getting together in the garage. 😂

Hi Roy. Are you going to continue the Gracie Schwarzwald full course? The course is exceptional and it’s a real shame it finishes without moving onto ground work. Your breakdowns of positions are brilliant with real insight into how and why your in the position and what you need to look for. I’d love to see the rest but it seems it’s finished now?

I’d like to see it in no gee, side control has always been my hardest to break when going against larger opponents.
