Laura!! My mom and I have been watching you before you've even had your first baby and we are so astonished by how much time has passed since we sat together everyday looking at your recipes. We love your cooking and cant wait to see more amazing recipes!
this looks amazing laura!! when we make our new england clam boil (portuguese style) in south eastern mass we use linguica (pork based smoked sausage), hot dogs & italian sweet saugsages in the pot with vadilla onions, potatoes too & sometimes chorizo. we use beer in our broth base with some garlic, & portuguese crushed red pepper! our method to removing all of the sand from the clams is using black pepper in the water. the black pepper agitates the clams and causes them to "sneeze" the remaining of sand out of them and you'll only need to soak them once, twice the most & every time we've made it they are sand-free, promise!! love this
Being from New England your recipe is exactly the way I remember the days of clam boils. So delicious 😋. Would like to be enjoying one this weekend. Brings back some nice memories of living up north and summers spent at the beach 🏖️😊.
@Laura!! I made this, and it was amazing!! Suuuuper easy and after watching other's videos, I settled on following your example because it was so simple, clean, and content was to the point! I am now digging into your videos and follow your channel now!
Wow, I have never seen a dish like this. This is a yummy full of flavour seafood platter which I would enjoy and I’m sure my family to or anyone who loves seafood. This is so delicious. Thank you for sharing your yummy recipe with us. Enjoy your weekend. enjoy your family and God bless.🙏😋💕🌏
Good video 👍🏻 In my opinion seafood is good anytime of the year because it's so versatile you can cook it so many different ways and won't be bored with it
You knocked it out of the park Laura!🌟🌟👏👏👌👌….And like the beautiful Italian that you are, you are mopping up that delicious juice with bread!…BRAVO!👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️…love the outdoor setting!😁😁
100% my friend 😍here in Ottawa we don’t have clams so I will be making this in the next couple of weeks and substitute clams for mussels 😂 it will still be just as good 👍
On the Mississippi Gulf Coast, we use to call it a Creole Boil. Here in South Carolina, we call it a Low Country Boil. And you can put any kind of seafood you want in it, as long as it also has smoked sausage, potatoes, corn, onions, lemons and lots of Zataran's seafood boil seasoning.
An old Farmer friend told my mom like 60 years ago no matter how much you cook your sweet corn it ain't gonna get any sweeter honey. 😀🥰 And that's why good sweet corn is great raw too. Especially in a great salad. Joe 😊❤
Hi Laura, just checked out your video and I'm just wondering why you're calling this recipe a clam bake? There is no baking involved. To me this a traditional seafood boil. Looked good all the same. 🎉
When I was younger there were places in New England where they created a pit in the ground and put all seafood in there for hours - that was a clambake to us - expression continued for mixed shellfish boils
Buy RI little necks. They aren't sandy. They are the best and they don't have those weird colorings on the shell. Those could be farm raised. You need rockweed! What kind of lobsters are they? This is as New England as taco bell is Mexican. It's probably good but not as good as it could be. Nothing like a real clam bake. The Internet videos are watered down with clam boils they call clam bakes.
This is not a clambake. It is a seafood dish, but not a clambake. No shrimp, or Old Bay or wine are in traditional clambakes. The food is steamed, using rockweed seaweed kept wet, covered by rocks and sand in the "olden" days, now burlap or other tarps to keep the steam in. You don't cut up the lobsters before cooking. Supply nutcrackers and picks, scissors if you must. Mussels and clams, overnight in the fridge in salted water, with fine corn meal, so they can clean themselves of sand. Cheesecloth may be used. No chicken, eggs, hot dogs, or any kind of sausage. Spoils the taste of the seafood. Potatoes are fine, red bliss are in season for clambakes. Don't insult your guests by serving lobster tails or shrimp, serve whole lobsters.
I REALLY don't want to be an ahole... But probably am... But... The temp at the beginning seems so high, it would result in burnt butter and burnt garlic.. 🫣 (just watch chef Jean Pierre with over 40yrs of professional experience) also didn't see anything about deveining the lobster 🙈 And just for the videos, I would take out the invisaligns. It just keeps distracting from the subject at hand. I really love your videos and have been subscribed for years.. But much seems to be changing, and lots of it for the good! Don't get me wrong! But I'm afraid to say anything that could be seen as negative, because the response to replies like mine, have been quite harsh.. Please know we mean well. We love you! And wish you the best! And you seem to be doing more than fine without any comments like mine... So really you don't even have to respond of you don't agree. (secretly I wish I had your life, being healthy (mostly that) and happy, having things in order and all that... I shouldn't even be mentioning the invisaligns. As I'm a whole distraction of my own anyways, with the conditions Im suffering, to bad I can't just 'take them off')
A) no butter or garlic was burnt, I promise! B) my Invisalign doesn’t interfere with anything and I’m on my last few months and it’s encouraged to keep them in as much as possible and since it’s a norm for me, I don’t think to remove them Until I’m ready to eat. I don’t understand how it’s distracting, If maybe I have a touch of a lisp with it I certainly wouldn’t point that out, it’s not an issue anyone should feel like they need to point out. I wish love, happiness and joy for all, it’s literally all I want in life is for everyone to live their best best lives and be thankful for the air in our lungs. I just simply get frustrated at times when someone (not saying this comment necessarily) feels the need to be negative just for the sake of it. It actually makes me sad because I can’t understand how anyone would purposely choose to point out or focus on the negative in any situation.
Laura!! My mom and I have been watching you before you've even had your first baby and we are so astonished by how much time has passed since we sat together everyday looking at your recipes. We love your cooking and cant wait to see more amazing recipes!

Laura: “Ya need Old Bay. A couple tablespoons.”
*Sprinkles half the container in the pot.” 😂❤ (I love old bay too)
I CANT with myself sometimes 😂😂😂
9:32 amazing cooking. What spice/powder Laura used? Not familiar in India. Thanks
It was Old Bay Seasoning. I believe that Amazon ships it abroad.
That looks amazing!
Thank you!!

Joe 😊❤
Hahah true that! I just meant i like it cooked more so it kinda softens the kernels a tad more
A) Was this Joe’s camera work? It felt different, but still greats
B) I’m a big bread eater, can I double that stock?
It certainly is!
This looks amazing.
Laura this was my idea for a recipe that i requested!!! You put my name in a draw...so does that mean i win???
Hahahah you win a virtual hug!
I dub you an honorary Masshole, Laura! Cook it up kid!
YESSSSSSS!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice
what is the little house behind her?
😋😋😋😋
Laura ❤
It is better to use New England steamer clams. The little necks are too tough. The steamers have thinner shells and are more tender.
Just like she says... started with butter & garlic. Italian, Portuguese, seafood or beef that's the secret
Love itttt
😋
A wonderful recipe. (But I still miss the original Laura in the Kitchen intro.)
No, NO, No.😊 Not enough 😂❤
Hi Laura, just checked out your video and I'm just wondering why you're calling this recipe a clam bake? There is no baking involved. To me this a traditional seafood boil. Looked good all the same. 🎉
Its just what it’s called in New England to my understanding
When I was younger there were places in New England where they created a pit in the ground and put all seafood in there for hours - that was a clambake to us - expression continued for mixed shellfish boils
Delish
