Thanks for bringing this Doug 👍. Cosmo's Factory was one of my favourite CCR albums and I've been a huge fan ever since their Woodstock Performance which sadly, due to their producer/agent's commercial interests, wasn't in the featured documentary/film: Woodstock 1969, 3 Days Of Peace, Love And Music. ☮️❤️🎸
If they're dancing, it's so short', just keep playing D/A forever(doo do doo part). Dynamic singer can get a chant going. Great lesson, folks love songs from their youth, not caring how complex. Like Mony Mony, F# for evvvver. BTW, the SG sounds so good with middle pup added, single notes on demo, full and snappy!! ♫
The first album I bought - 1971, good work, John Fogerty played a Les Paul at this time, Rickenbacker for live concerts, when I saw CCR in '72 it was the Les Paul
Another great lesson, love all your content especially the Stones. I have a request Georgia Satellites keep your hands to yourself. I have searched RUclips over and over and cannot find a lesson that really comes close to the real deal if you get the time I would appreciate it, thanks
Most players play this wrong and let everything ring in the opening riff. Great to see it played correctly. It's so vastly different from the original recording to most covers.
John Fogerty actually did not record this on his Rick. He actually recorded this on his 3/4 scale Les Paul Custom with the Bigsby whammy bar. The first one he bought in January 1969 that was damaged by the airlines, not the second Les Paul he bought in March 69’ that he used for open D. He stopped using the Rickenbacker 325 in the studio, after the Willy and the Poor Boys album. Everything from Cosmos Factory is exclusively both of his Les Pauls as he grew frustrated with the Ricks poor tuning stability.
Sounds Great on the SG!! The Versatile SG is truly Underrated, you've got Everything from early Clapton/CREAM; Iron Butterfly IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA - which was based on his daughter's saying "In The Garden of Eden "... , or so the Story goes....? I think I read that somewhere? To Todd Rundgren with UTOPIA - The Ikon, which I saw in Little Rock, Arkansas!! To Tony Iommi with Black Sabbath's truly AWESOME First album - the Best to me; ACDC; Numerous Blues Guys. It's Great for SLIDE, especially Open Tunings/Dereck Trucks.... , and on and on... THANKS!!! Love John Fogerty and CCR!!! That 'Long Road Home' DVD, is Excellent!!!
Yes you get all tabs, can view onscreen, or download, or if you have guitarpro software I am now posting those so you can import those to play along with. But yes you can get all the tabs
@@12footchain cool. I really like your videos. Chilled and laid back. Relaxes the viewer.. you can get sudden onset anxiety when dudes start ripping into the lesson too quickly and throwing around scales and jargon!
Sorry, I refuse to watch this until you redo it with either Rickenbacker or a Black Beauty. AND a stretchy cord (into a Custom amp). I'll be over in the corner, pouting, when you're ready... EDIT: Also, you must move to Emeryville, CA.
Love this song! To be fair I love everything CCR did
This is a song that always puts me in a good mood.
When Cosmo's came out it was all over the Radio. They played all the Songs, boy is it missed on Radio today.
This was my Fav CCR song in the 70s and the 1st single I bought and I use to play a gazoo to the Run Through the Jungle harp lol Great memory
One of my favorite songs to play. Great job as always!

Fantastic lesson 12 foot Ahh the memories, that was the my first vinyl ever purchased 52 years ago. You just picked up a new subscriber! Thanks

“Cosmo’s Factory” I always thought until a few years ago it was Cosmos Factory 😆 what a difference an apostrophe makes!!!

What is the control knob you have mounted on your pickguard?
It's a master volume. It's a Captain Kirk Douglas artist model SG. www.gibson.com/en-US/Electric-Guitar/USA19H701/Ebony
How about 30 days in the hole next?

Lol. I totally would if I could
@@12footchain I neglected to add, _that_ guitar should be reserved for original Alice Cooper Group songs...
But first you must grow your hair all the way down to your ass... and wear sparkly pantsuits...
