Thank you for teaching us lab work. After initial success with oysters outdoors on straw, I just made my first liquid culture! Your youtube is like Paul Stamets books 40 years ago. ty ty ty
Ahhh! Gary this is exactly the kick in the butt needed so I can start my journey! I have everything to grow. I’ve been doing it for a little while now it’s time to make my own culture 😊
Im so glad youre posting more frequently and honestly great quality. I got the e.book but Im personally a more of a visual learner and the videos aid me tons. Right now I use only agar plates to avoid contamination going unseen, also I usually dont have much success pulling lc, I think its because i make my own injection ports
there will be many “offspring” or “genotypes” that emerge from a spore cluster once the mycelium merges by combining with compatible spores - if you select the most favorable fruits from that cluster by cloning, you can create a replica and if the conditions are stable those will be more favorable in terms of fruiting and whatever you selected for. Hope that makes sense!
@FreshfromtheFarmFungi Also, can I put two syringe filters and draw from one instead of using an injection port? I think what I mean to ask is what else does a syringe filter do besides allowing gas exchange?
Glad to see the content picking back up. You're the best 👌

I love this guy. He has the fattest king oyster culture I've seen.
thanks for watching and following along! I love that king as well 🙏🏻🍄❤️

we are sold out on our own shop but try mycologylids.com they might be able to help you 👍
Thanks for this information
thanks for watching and following along!
Thank you very much, your videos are GREAT!!!
thanks brother
valuable info for sure
thanks for watching! 🍄❤️
Can we use micro tape as the air filter.
Thanks for sharing best mycology channel in youtube.
Yes but it isn’t as protective as tyvek or glass filters since micropore tape is more susceptible to moisture damage.
Very good video, thank you! Tell me, please, is cordyceps suitable for 5% honey? There are 30 grams of honey per 600 grams of water... right?
yes this works well - just make sure to supplement the media as well
@FreshfromtheFarmFungi Please tell me, What else should be added to increase the liquid mycelium?
So if I understand this right. The first mushrooms I grow, the spore will be more reflective of my conditions for growing the original Mushroom.?

I’ve had a really terrible experience trying to market LC lids, I get shut down on every platform.
the algorithms get confused 🤔
Hi Gary. Does the syringe filter allow enough gas exchange?
yes especially for liquid culture
@FreshfromtheFarmFungi is there any chance of contamination if I turn the jars upside down?
