  • Chiropractic KNEE Assessment and Adjustment for KNEE Pain with Dr Jordan Fairley at The Source Chiropractic Oakland
    Knee pain at the Inferior and lateral border of the patella “kneecap” is one of the easiest symptoms that can be helped with a proper analysis and chiropractic care.
    Here Dr Jordan finds a misalignment and restriction of the left side of her pelvis and a rotated tibia which is causing stress to the left IT Band and Quadriceps.

    How often would she need to come back for an adjustment? I have knee pain, but am worried about the financial aspect of getting adjusted regularly.

    • @TheSourceChiropractic
      @TheSourceChiropractic  6 лет назад +2

      Jenny Helen it depends on a lot of factors. Depends on the mechanism of injury, how long it’s been there, and how severe. For this particular case we have only seen her for her knee twice, she still gets the rest of her spine checked regularly due to the stress of sitting in an office chair, standing at work, working out at the gym. Every office is different in our office we do a detailed initial functional analysis and based on people’s function we recommend a certain amount of care. So prices and pricing options are different and based on people’s function.
      Great question

    I fell off a 20ft ladder a year ago. Landed on my feet but most weight on my right leg. Had heel pain for about 8 months but it’s been getting better. I am now getting back into running (can run 4 miles in 30 minutes) but feels like my knee wants to break. Old what to do or who to go to. Had X-rays done went to physical therapy and only time helped.

    I suffered from a dislocated knee around 15 years ago. When it rains, or gets cold out, it will occasionally ache. I went for my very first chiropractor adjustment a couple of days ago, and my "bad knee" has been aching ever since. Is it common for someone with knee problems, to hurt after a spinal adjustment?

    • @TheSourceChiropractic
      @TheSourceChiropractic  4 года назад

      beetlejes i am not sure what the chiropractor did with you. However it is possible you had been compensating and favoring your other leg, restoring proper motion and / or balance in your hips could certainly put more weight back into the injured knee leg

    I have an injury on my left knee, don’t know what it is or how I got it. Got an MRI scan and nothing showed. I can’t fully extend it or bend it like my right knee. It’s swollen and painful to put weight on (when I kneel, 70% of the time when i walk) it’s been almost a year now and we have no idea what it is.. do you reckon an appointment with a chiropractor would be worth it?

    I have a question. I've had 2 arthroscopy's on my left knee to remove/fix cartilage and fix Cruciate ligament, But I still get bad knee pain and I have reduced movement as my knee dislocates relatively easy. -- Would chiropractic treatment work well for me? Thanks

    • @TheSourceChiropractic
      @TheSourceChiropractic  5 лет назад +3

      it certainly could. What we find is that the majority of people who have knee pain have an imbalance between their hamstring and quadricep muscles, so when looking to help the knee from dislocating trying to create balance between those two muscle groups would certainly help. Also, if you have had wear and tear of the cartilage most likely there has been some type of structural imbalance between the tibia and femur this is different for everyone but most often it is due to rotation of the tibia which causes it to wear. A chiropractor would be able to create space and improve motion between these joints - Dr. Jordan

    Wish I could find a chiropractor that treats knee and hip in HOUSTON, Texas. Had tried a couple but then they really do not assess my hip or knee. Only adjust my back, I had been in a lot of pain. My MRI only showed inflammation. But I can barely walk normally.I do not feel my left knee stable. Also, feel my hip like it is out of place. But MRI cameback normal. What a frustration...

    • @TheSourceChiropractic
      @TheSourceChiropractic  4 года назад +1

      I think it is important to ask, "why is there inflammation in the knee?" Typically because of some type of dysfunction over time. Often a chiropractor will focus on the pelvis in order to create more balance in the hips so you are not putting more weight on one leg... I would also suggest seeing if a chiropractor has videos adjusting the knee or calling and asking before hand

      @@joedaddy8044 Yes,I did. Super expensive and a waste of money and time. I paid $500.00 just for the first visit. He adjusted my back and ignored completely my complain about knee and hip pain. He does not seem to care much about the patient. Would not go back. I went to another chiropractor that adjusted me and paid attention to my knee and hip.
