I really appreciate this. I’ve been wanting to learn TIG for awhile now ever since I learned MIG and stick welding but I didn’t know what rig to invest in. Keep up the good work👍
Buy a shitty one, as long as it doesn't break it's enough. I learned TIG welding with Fronius magic wave at 14, first time I actually used a shitty TIG was at 19. I was constantly f'ing annoyed at the quality of it, I was actually just spoiled by starting out with top of the line machines.
Got to practice on a rig that a friend got for 50 bucks, told me, gotta be careful cuz you might get shocked now and then. Wasn't bad but getting electrocuted randomly throws off your rhythm.
Is it possible to weld with one hand? Was doing electrical work but can’t anymore due to amputation of most of my left hand. Is that something that I could learn? Please lmk thank you
Even if you're missing your hand, you can still can learn to weld mig, fluxcore and stick. The stinger and weld gun is held by one hand and the other hand is used to support or steady the stinger or gun, but you could do the same with just your handless arm.
If you want to learn mutiple processes the harbor freight titanium 200 is well worth it 800 gets you everything but no foot pedal which is amazing for stationary work
I was told anything less than $600-700 and you're essentially wasting your money. And if you can save up $700, you can save up $1100-1200 and do it right.
*You don't need no bullsht ass fancy tig torch for anything except if you're trying to look cool or if you're wanting to impress someone, but it doesn't impress me.I just use a profax torch and it gets the job done and that's all I need. Fancy tig torch and just a regular one is like comparing a Ferarri and a Ford Truck. Both will get you to wherever you have to go, but one of them gets alot of envious looks and costs alot more than the other.*
@@WesternWeldingAcademyim gonna buy a PrimeWeld 225X. Im only doing this to make my own gas tank, roll cage, exhaust etc. Not professional. Is it truly worth it to buy the CK 20 water cooled vs CK 17 air cooled??? Im a buy once cry once kinda guy, but does it even make a difference???

Happy to hear that!

Its been a half year....Any progress?
Make the contractor pay for tools. It's a tax write off for them. Most likely will get broken or stolen.
What planet do you live on? 😂
Depends on where you are I guess
@@WesternWeldingAcademy No rig pay -No tools.

I have a primeweld 225 that came with everything I needed to get started, except a bottle. I love my CK torch, it has served me well.
🙌🏻
I spent like $50 on my last one. As stuff broke, the company replaced it. I did order me a custom handle though… money well spent
Nice
Ck worldwide all day, ck9 is my go to for sanitary stainless. Small size is great for tight repairs
I find that "Buy once, cry once" is the way to go
😂 most welders get them off the job site but I won't call out no names😂😂😂😂😂
I just got a millermatic 220 ac/dc burned a fat hole but super worth so far.
Just picked up a Prime weld 225, with flexy CK Tig torch and got stick cables too

I'll take things that didn't happen for 200 please.
I got the amplified welding tig rig for my first rig. But it’s the 200 amp
Last week I bought a miller tig rig from a friend only costed a new welding pancake for his son 😁
Are the cheapest tig rig the same as experience amplified quality one's?
Like do they do exactly the same thing?
Good to know
Anywhere besides EB pay to train? I’m willing to move.

In a shop, yes if it's only stick welding
Yes but it will be difficult
Get a mechanical welding arm🫡😎

For tig it really depends on how dedicated your are to it because you can get half decent tig torchest for 200 bucks
No arguments there
Wait. Can you plug in tig equipment into a mig machine? I also might be wrong correct me if i am and go into detail on this
If you have a multi process unit you can. Standard mig then no.
I have a ArcCaptain MiG 200-DC tig, MiG, gas MiG, stick, aluminum MiG/spool gun.
I love my heavy hitter tig rig
Nice
For $200 , buy the nice one 😂 buy once , cry once
Lol
I just got my first wekder 80 bucks 225amp came with rods and a auto darkening helmet sweet deal

Was für ein Schweiẞgerät hast du?
I've been welding 30 years never had to buy anything 😊
I would buy a good machine right from the git-go. You can learn on a good machine at least as good as on a cheap machine.
Ahh just buy the most expensive at first, so you dont have to waste money on upgrading, goes for everything, hobbies & work...
I NEED TIG WELDING JOB YOU HELP ME
My boss refuses to get a decent tig torch we’ve done burnt up two this year
The real men. Weld stick in the field.
You mean an old man
Yes old men are real men
As someone looking into union welding, this is so goddamn encouraging. $50-$200 is a much more manageable price range than I was expecting.
I just take the one my school has lol 😅
Lmao
I got to learn a little bit of MIG Stick TIG and even Oxy-fuel at our company for free
The one you can afford

Nineteen with low income $1200 is more than I’m looking at spending on a TIG welder 😂
My first welding machine i just got is 200 bucks
0 dollars! The contractor has always supplied them the 30 years ive been a Boilermaker.
Go union you don’t have to worry about that
Don’t worry, you’ll pay for them out of your dues.
KEMPPI😊
i was thinking around 50 dollars an hour and a per diem
You can ask for that price if you want

CK -17 IS ALL YOU WILL EVER NEED
Spend nothing only work for contractors who provide tools, or get a cheap
That is also an option
They answered every comment... looks like they got NOTHING to do
What is your problem?

Tig rig or torch you dont make sense bro
You must be a child. They mean the same thing given the context.
