So a regular printer wont work I am new to all this
Can i use the Epson 2800 eco tank printer? Is that considered an inkjet printer? Respond pls new sub by the way
@@jayswish22 just remember DO NOT use any sublimation ink....Your Epson ECO Tank should work with the ink that came with the printer
@@billmatthews5593 thank you. I got an Epson and been using it. I just don’t like how Cricut limits he size of the print. It’s a waste of paper. I’m looking into getting another cutter like the cameo 4. I dont think it limits like how Cricut do. You use any other cutter?
@@jayswish22 NO, But there are ways around the limit - and use another software (Inkscape). Check out you tube for HACKS to get around the limits..tried it once - worked OK...
Good hack for Masking the EasyColor DTV is letting your print sit overnight. This will allow those heavy saturated prints to let the ink gas out more. Although it still feels dry, the ink is also potentially still damp. Hence, why it may not mask as nicely.
Also, a suggestion we have is that you wash your garment after 24 hours of application. Which will also wash away any potential residual ink.
ALSO, you can make your finish Matte with parchment paper :)
Thank you so much for these tips! Just so that I'm clear, I would transfer the print onto the garment, remove the transfer mask and then heat set it the next day?
@@kwoie4536 no, you would wait the next day to do the "masking" portion.
So, you would print then cut it....then you would let set over night.....then go back and weed it and mask it and transfer it.
thank you for the info!! this is super helpful since I just bought some of your DTV and had no idea how to use it!! maybe some instructions in or on the package would be helpful for people who aren't as tech savvy as I am lol.. just a thought! Love you guys!! 🥰 keep coming out with the bestest stuffs!! lol
Can you tell me more about the parchment paper trick
Being a witch, this SVG calls to my heart. I just bought the Siser DTV to do shirts for a business, but can't wait to make something for myself.
Parchment paper for a mate finish
This is so hard to get. I really want to try these sheets but the supplier is out of stock😢😥
You can get a set of 5 sheets each at Amazon. Not too much of a difference from 143 vinyl. I will use mine very selectively as it's def more expensive than regular printable vinyl
I purchased some on etsy. Havent tried it yet.
They say to use parchment paper for a matte finish and Teflon for Glossy finish. That's what I've heard from other videos.
I was about to say exactly this! ☺️
Thanks for the video y’all, as always, great video!
Print then cut size is stupid
Finally! someone uses DARK tee to show us. How many of us use black tees? and yet most videos shows white tees. thanks!
Yes parchment for matte and teflon for glossy. That's what Joe at Siser says. I've seen so many of his videos on the DTV. I have the dtv just no idea what I want to use/print on it.
so iron it on with the mask then remove the mask and iron it again with parchment?
@@katherinefowler6942 yes if you need to use the mask, that's if you have lots of pieces. If it is one solid piece you can peel off from backing and put on garment and use parchment paper.
@@robertcobos5175 let me get this correct, if i print on the sheet then peel it off then i can iron it as it?
Teflon sheet makes it shiney and parchment makes it matt.
Design bundles said to use parchment for a matte finish and Teflon for a glossy.
Omg 🥰 I’m new the Cricut world and keep finding you everywhere lol I love it. I’m obsessed.
Red colors gets darker after ironing, like burnt, i use Epson printer original inks, and iron 15 secs at 302 degrees.
I have an Epson I converted to sublimation. I know I can't use that. So I bought Siser DTV and tried it with my ( admittedly , very cheap HP office printer) quality was awful, even tried changing setting and wasted a second sheet. So My question is, do I NEED to buy a second EPSON? Anyone get an HP to work?
Is the office printer an inkjet printer? i know it's not supposed to be used with anything else.
I used an HP yesterday...worked great....HP6900 series
BTW, these are the best sheets to use for t-shirt, period. I've been using them for a while, they are an absolute replacement for 3G Jet Opaque (never use that stuff again), and in some cases, JPSS (for white shirts), I'm having better luck using DTV on both lights and darks. Great stuff.

ty for this video - can we use a lightweight transfer tape in place of the one recommended by siser? I bought the DTV but not the TTD mask :-(
When i applied cover sheet i used a pastry roller and the transfer came off very easily and for my second press i used parchment paper and it gave it a matte finish
I'm pretty sure, by now, you have learned that pressing with parchment paper will give the matt finish.
I used this exact method with sister dtv , HP inkjet printer and sadly it rained and my design ended up getting water stains 😢 does anyone know why ?
Hi to get a good quality of green dark color what settings can I use my green is coming more like a lime green
Others have said if the do parchment paper it makes it matte …. Haven’t tried it yet… just watched 10 videos 🤷🏽♀️
I had some difficulty getting my print to stick to the special transfer sheet as well. The partners at 143 Vinyl reached out to me and suggested that since I printed using the best quality, that next time I should let it dry 12 hours before trying to stick the transfer sheet to my project. I love the results of my shirt even though I had a hard time with it.
I am having this trouble as well. I cannot get it to transfer, I have tried everything. And the DTV is so expensive that I am really upset :(
@@ChristyManneringscrink I think I am going to try using a thinner (18 lb )paper. I have been using 20 lb. paper and I think it takes longer to dry all the way.
Siser Support and another crafter indicated that we might be able to use a medium or high tack TTD MASK...I have not tried to...but Siser indicated that it should work....
Mine was dried for like 2 days before I went to mask since I was waiting on my heat press. Still had a hard time keeping it to stick to the mask
@@ralphcasafrancisco283 2 days and still had a hard time? Wow!
if you use parchment Paper you will get the matte finish
I like to know can you press this on a tumbler and put uv resin over it
press it with parchment paper and it should tone it down
So is this like the cricut infusible ink?
My image is heavily bleeding I can’t see any of the details on it
you're easy to follow and not annoying! thank you
How do you make an image larger than the sheet?
Hey Michael, could you recommend a printer that is maybe a little more wallet friendly than the one you're using? Just wondering if there is one out there for less, but still have good quality for printing especially on dtv? Thanks for any suggestions!
Monica I would recommend the Epson ST-C2100 from 143Vinyl. I'll link it here for you :) You can use your Crafty.net membership discount for 10% off, or you can use code "crafty" to save 5%. Hope this helps 🤩go.crafty.net/epson
Couldn't you reuse the carrier sheet from htv?
Good question!
Mat Modpodge maybe?
If you hadn't "dyed" it would you still need the mask?
I don't sublimate because I don't have the equipment for it plus because I don't know how 😢.. but can you do a video on putting designs on mouse pads please?
QUICK TIP: if you use the squeegee to hold down the transfer paper at the same time you peel the backing is much easier to peal the letters off...
6:02 PREACH! I hate it too! 😡 But you calling it silly is actually a nice way of putting it. I have other choice words for it. 🤬 But thank you for this video. Very informative! 💛
I have found if you take your scraper or squeegee from the front facing you print up... if you haven't reused it alot....it will come up easily. But I have used the same sheet alot of times. it is not the funest thing. Also... it does not bleed the ink into the shirts that are on the mask...which is great!!!! I love this stuff!!!!!
Trying this for the first time. I hit slice and nothing happened so I kept trying now its sliced 100x lol. Started over, sliced once, taking a long time. Is this normal? Yours seemed to do it quick. Thanks!
I just ran my image twice on the Easy colour DTV and it did not print the colour, but on paper it did print as was on DS, and on other Iron on transfer paper. so annoyed as it is not cheap.
I know you have a scan n cut machine. But I have not seen any videos regarding the use of the machine. There are so few creators who do videos on the SNC, I think that you would be great at videos teaching and using to its full potential. Is there a way you could consider it OR are you contracted and under strict rules with Cricut? Thanks! Glad to have found your channel 😀
DTF is better
Omg Michael you're amazing!! I just bought some Siser DTV and was wondering how to go about using it, since it doesn't really come with directions!! And I LOVE that design!! I just recently learned how to make my own tie dye affect on the computer so I'll definitely be trying this out 😍🧙♀🎃
Hello crafty i do love all your videos . i watch atleat one before going for work to take care of my patients. they are great . i love craft .it has become my passion. if i could quit my pharmacy job, i will become a craft man
My design was ruined by water, how do I waterproof it properly??
Thanks for trying to make it matte on camera too, extra helpful so we don't have to try it out!
Thank you!!!! Using parchment paper worked!!!
Another RUclipsr used parchment paper to get the matte finish look.
Hi new this and like no if can use Epson sublimation printer ink and love watching thanks
What about maybe trying mod podge matte finish or something like that 🤔?
How does this compare to the Starcraft for dark materials printable transfers?
If you use parchment paper and press again it will then become a matte finish.
If you rock it side to side when pulling at the same time it should come off easier 😄😊
Is the printer using regular ink or sublimation ink?
Press with parchment paper
waxy side up?
I use parchment paper to achieve the matte look
I know you are fully excited on the new print & cut sizes ❤ I will look out for your next creation!
Does this show the wheels like other siser papers when printing
Will this work on a clear can glass cup as well ?
Thank you!! Love watching your crafts!!
Use parchment paper to give it a matte finish
My print settings are different ugh 😫
Can you use the mask tape more than once?
This product looks amazing!
Can I use A4 matte?👀 Setting
Can you use DTV on anything or does it have to be black & with that mixture
Dtv can go on anything clothing
Love this! Awesome video. How would I do it without the mask? I would need to mirror it right ??
No you don't mirror it.
Dang you helped me out a lot
Não encontro no Brazil para comprar
Thank you Michael
Can you layer it
Thank you.
Love it! Thank you
Love it
Do you know when Siser DTV will be back in stock?
