The casting of the vultures still brought a British Invasion musician, Chad Stuart of the duo Chad & Jeremy.[7] In earlier drafts of the scene the vultures had a near-sighted Rhinoceros friend named Rocky, who was to be voiced by Frank Fontaine, however Walt decided to cut the character for feeling that the film had already much action with the monkeys and vultures.[20].

The voice of 'Flaps' is Chad of the British folk-rock group Chad & Jeremy. And the 'What d'ya wanna do?' dialogue is based on the same patter from 'Marty' (the film that won Ernest Borgnine an Academy Award) when Marty and his loser friends keep that question going throughout the movie. Marty's the leader of his loser gang and they constantly ask 'What d'ya feel like doing, Marty?" "I dunno. What d'ya feel like doing?"

Dizzy (tall, black haired Vulture) is voiced by Lord Tim Hudson.
John Lennon would have voiced him had he not rejected Walt's offer for the band to star in an animated Disney film.

yeah; I think Lord Tim was doing an impression of George Harrison. He kinda sounded like him there

John Lennon even told his manager, Brian Epstein, that he should have gone back to Disney studios and tell Walt Disney to hire Elvis Presley instead to voice the Vultures since he was making movies before his '68 comeback show. Imagine if the Vultures were voiced by Elvis instead.

Disney wanted the Beatles to voice them, and designed the vultures to look like them, but they couldn't get them...

^^ As kids (-10), my sisters and I worshipped the Beatles, so it figures that we came to love the vultures as well~ Love these guys, lol.

Disney actors did the voices, but they were dead-on impressions of the boys. No pun intended.

If you mean, "are the Vultures based on the Beatles", then yes.

I glad I'm the only one who thinks that. Although Dizzy (black haired Vulture) was voiced by Lord Tim Hudson.

I remember watching the The Jungle Book with my Grandad on video, yes not on DVD, on video, when I was 8! Jobs I'm 17 and my Grandad is in hospital and could very well pass away very soon:( I'll always have my childhood memories with my Grandad though, and of course my Gran:)

The Vultures were originally going to be voiced by The Beatles. However, due to a change in schedule, they dropped out at the last minute. The look of The Vultures and the voices are now an homage to The Beatles.
