  • This webinar was a partnership between The Lancet Psychiatry, The Being Initiative, United for Global Mental Health, and the Global Mental Health Action Network.
Panellists discussed the findings of The Lancet Psychiatry Commission on Mental Health Implementation Research, which was published on March 26th. This report proposes new strategies for transforming research methods to produce actionable evidence, emphasising equity in mental health interventions, and advocates for a global outlook.
Partners from The Being Initiative shared insights into the upcoming Public Goods Report, which is set to be released on April 18th. The report will outline the critical drivers negatively impacting youth mental health in Being's 13 priority countries, to establish key areas for investment. Several common factors have surfaced, such as academic pressures, family system and parenting dysfunction, and mental health literacy and stigma.
