Simic does have some removal though there are some good permanent removals in green or in white. I personally run return to nature and rambunctious mutt

If you're going to use Peer into the Abyss, you might as well play Underworld Dreams. It does not need to survive one turn after Peer since it kills the opponent on the spot, and it will start hitting them on turn 3.

I've built Tergrid as an EDH deck with Peer into the Abyss in it cos I'm a lunatic and I thought it would be hilarious, but I never thought to use it in a 60 card format. Bravo Mono-Black, bravo!

Tergrid is probably my favourite kaldheim card, and I was realy obssessed about combos with it, cant belive I didnt think about that. nice one.
You should try with Underworld Dreams. Lose half their life to peer into the abyss, lose the rest to drawing everything.
This actually happened to me a couple of weeks ago.
I've been enjoying this deck once we start rolling hard with it, I think I might squeeze in a few draugr necromancers. Great content!
I've actually been working on a troll deck in EDH (Kess, Dissident Mage) that uses Tergrid + Hive Mind + One With Nothing. If you can stick a Hive Mind, this lets you play Tergrid + One with Nothing for 6 mana, forcing all players to discard their hands and putting everything your opponents lose into play under your control; this is absolutely brutal if you have enough mana to also fire off a Wheel of Fortune before you cast One with Nothing (Kess lets you play either from the graveyard) which causes everybody to discard their hands and draw 7, then discards them all again. Alternately, you can just win with either Pact of Negation, Slaughter Pact, or Pact of the Titan. It's not a very effective deck, but it's hilarious when it works.
In historic, this could be a fun combo with Dragon Mage (not good, but fun). You could theoretically stick a Dragon Mage, then play Tergrid + Peer into the Abyss so you can force the opponent to draw half their deck, then discard their hand and draw 7 more off a Dragon Mage attack. This would be FAR easier with Fires of Invention, as you could play the Fires + the Dragon on one turn, then get the free Tergrid + Peer the following turn, but that has been banned so it isn't an option.

Ohh just thought black and another color (probably blue) so you can give sorceries flash or be able to cast them whenever you would cast an instant. Or you could play a combo where you can foretell all cards and then for tell it so it's a little cheaper and then the other card that allows you to foretell on any turn. this way they have no capability of playing any of the cards because you'll wait until after they tap while their mana or tap most of their mana and are about to intern and just as it clicks for your turn you go ahead and instant cast draw half your deck so they instantly discard after that.
I thought about this combo not too long ago really happy to see it get pulled off!! 😄

Can you manually tap the snow land enchantment yet? I made a deck using that and the untap elf thing when the set came out and the game glitched out and I lost every time I had to manually tap.
Same thing happened with a deck I made a while back using that one sac dragon and enchanted lands. Not sure what's wrong with arena and enchanted lands.
Also the first deck you were playing against was going for the poison deathtouch build which is 10x better in historic than standard.

So I adjusted my concept for a righteous Valkyrie nuke deck. I replaced black with red, to run shadowflame conjuring instead, which makes the whole combo a lot safer, since you don't play a creature until you are ready to kill.
So the combo idea is to get out one copy of shadowflame conjuring, and 3 or more copies of anointed procession (One mythos of illuna on it will make 3). Then play righteous valkrie and pay the shadowflame conjuring cost. This will give 8 hasty righteous valkries until the end of turn. The life gain will trigger on all of them, giving you an absurd amount of health (Somewhere over 100, depending on how many triggers it takes to get you over 26). Then each Valkrie will buff all the others by +2/2, making each of them a 20/22 flyer with haste. Swing with the 8 hasty ones for 160 damage.
Someone paired Peer into The Abyss with Underworld dreams (Every time opponent draws a card they lose 1 life) and I lost instantly.
thats literally all i played against for a while. someone posted that combo on reddit and for the next 3 days that's all people were playing.
That was a viable combo deck in rotation-proof standard before the Zendikar release. Went to mythic with it. Then, rogues and skyclave apparition happened, and that was the end of it.
You can also do Teferi's Tutelage - Peer for the lulz. One-hit mill combo.

You have to try this combo with Syr Konrad the grim + peer into the abyss + Tergrid god of fright. Unless they can deal with both Konrad and Tergrid at the same time you're either going deal a lot of damage or get half their deck (or both!)

I build Tegrid asap when I got it, and actually hit one of my play group with peer into the abyss... it was a 30 min turn, easily
Also tried to use Tergrid with Peer but issue is really that opponent gets all solution options to hand even if you got a protection spell and have enough mana to cast it... but really love your janky combo decks, keep up the great work

I need help with this situation. So if a play a card that makes all players sacrifice a creature. And I sacrifice Tegrid and use my instant to return Tegrid when it enters the graveyard, does it’s ability trigger giving me their creatures or do it not work ??

I'm trying to use weaver of harmony +fight rigging to make a deck like this....have daemogoth titan to trigger fight rigging...use ruthless technomancer to sac titan and make 13 treasure tokens for mana if you nerd...but you can copy the hideaway from fight rigging with weaver and copy the first 2 parts of binding of the old gods..
are the reason this deck shows up so much on arena? ive not seen what you did happen to me but i can still beat them. I can go infinite so i can cast my stuff and im still working on making that happen more and more often. I made a player scoop with 3 walker emblems in effect one being the first spell i cast being countered. be mindful i play brawl
