I was the third player. I dont know why he conceded he had the match because Scholar would keep his deck from milling. My win con WAS on my fae of wishes. but it didnt matter when i used the fae. The Leyline of the voids were slowly milling out my wincons
When he started conjuring lands into his hand that he couldn't play, and would have to shuffle back into his library, the sound of me slapping my forehead echoed through the world.
I was the last guy. That "4th rate deck" you refer to has beat all of the top meta decks. It is primarily stall until you get to 7 mana. the Problem in the last match was that he made my deck inconsistent with how much trash he put into my hands with juggle and how many of my wincons he exiled with the void.
@@samdillard1824 Right, Chris never checked what cards got exiled, so he never saw the whole deck. But hey, seems the stalling tactic paid out and ended up winning the game in a battle of patience.
I have to thankyou for what was easily my most laugh out loud moment in all my years in the game, i can only imagine how many opponents gave an incredulous WTF when they saw their new hands 🤣
Yeah it was weird... but the dude only had 10 life. The leyline of abundance pumping up the agents or the faes, plus the glasspool mimic and surgical metamorph and undercover operative to copy those, plus the snowborn simulacra to create more copies, plus the yorion to trigger the additional copies of the agents and the fairies using the reflections of littjara, with additional triggers via Yorion and returning it to your hand via the instant... That's plenty! Sure, it was probably made to pop off based on *your* good creatures, which you don't have any of. But the opponent's deck still had a few.
For the last game the winning line was probably copy mystic sanctuary, a bunch of artifact mana, lembas, and as many agents as you could, trying to get him off blue so he stops messing with your stuff. Then mystic sanctuary and sac lembas to do it again. His winning line was probably along the lines of that: agent of treachery away your stuff, copy a bunch of moxen from oracle of the alpha, mystic sanctuary, lembas, do it again, next turn draw 9 and at that point you assuredly have some time walks.
Its an infinite turns combo deck. He'd copy a lembas, a sanctuary, and a bunch of mox to get a second sanctuary and the simulacra back. Next turn he can copy again putting the two sanctuaries on the field and drawing both cards, timewalking, and doing it forever. Its incredibly convoluted but it works.
LoL it was making infinite mystic sanctuarys for taking infinite turns, he can win via milling opponents out, who have more cards with the book, and he can win by combat with flyers if they don't. Its really great tbh. He can also steal permanents and win the old fashioned way with bounce INSANE mana (the moxen plus multiple casts of bird) so he just default ends up after turn 3 just going super ham. But mono black got the cards shuffled away and stole the birds XD.
Fragment Reality was not officially nerfed, Oracle text hasn't changed which technically makes it working different in Arena a bug, not a nerf. Then again, according to the Oracle, the card is not legal either.
Imagine being me, the player he conceded to, when he conceded right as i was gonna show him what my deck does. I needed the land from fable and thats the card he conceded on.
@@GrinningJest3r LoL... He uses the simulacrum to copy the sanctuarys, and the biscutes and moxen. Uses moxen for free mana, sanctuary for extra turn time walk, and then uses the lumens to get the time walk to hand and recast, uses next turn to drop the next sanctuary for the simulacrum, then uses the simulacrum again, and the lumen etc. over and over and over infinitely. Whats funny is its not just infinite. Its EXPONENTIALLY INFINITE. He goes infinite. infinitely faster each turn. XD.
I ran into this deck and it was the most fun game of magic i've ever played. I was in BO1 playing a meme arcane bombardment deck and suddenly everything got absolutely hilarious. Great deck! 😂
I'm only 5 minutes in, and this is already an all-timer. It makes me feel good in my belly. edit: By the end I was still laughing, but in such a different way.
Game 3 was the Bluest game of Magic I think I’ve ever seen. Beauty. Perfection. I wish you’d played it out but I understand feeling like you’re getting nowhere
5 minutes in and this is already my favorite mtg content since I was in middle school and learned of Avatar of Might for the first time. Well done sir. Well done. 🎉
the las match was hilarious. other dudes deck looked cool. i could feel his rage seething as you played his complicated deck in i assume the least efficient way possible.
The last game you had about thirty chances to leyline of the void your opponent and mill him out, or, beat him down with oracles while extra turning yourself, but, in the end, obsessing with playing more juggles when you didn't need to and copying lots of permanents that didnt really do anything was a lot funnier. Keep it up.
So... both people have access to MULTIPLE copies of the power 9. And the game ends like that. How powerful are they really, in terms of modern magic power creep? Hmm...
I'm pretty sure Chris has built the Oracle of the Alpha deck once. The idea was to generate enough copies of Time Walk and enough card advantage that you could draw or recur a Time Walk every turn, then beat down with Oracles at your leisure.
Reprieve is different from remand because Reprieve doesn’t counter the spell, it just returns it to its owner’s hand. So if a spell cannot be countered and you Reprieve it, it goes to their hand and you draw a card. If you Remand it, you just draw a card because of the counter effect.
I’ve played against the last deck before… they use the power stones and turns them to creatures for big power. The card he needed can be gotten by using far of wishes. He smacked me for a huge win on his part. Can’t for the life of me remember what card he grabbed with far of wishes to turn power stone into big creatures
What's really exciting that I haven't seen mentioned by most people is that conjure is a digital only mechanic, while 'player to the right' is a multiplayer (and therefore paper) only mechanic. This means that as of the finalization of the wording of the card there exist plans to add multiplayer to arena. Big if true.
Hey :) im planning to get back into mtga, could you suggest me a deck to play ranked? I loved control Blue /Blue White and mill decks. Searching something without too many rare to rank up a bit
I've played against thus a few times since this video has gone up. The key is to keep playing because you will draw enough of your own deck and the Nyx will give you a bunch of mana to work with.
There is a pretty decent gamble if you added karn and a side board or some other side board search effects that they wouldn't be able to use these cards in best of 1. This jank is hilarious Dark Lord.
Wait, after all that, you concede? With creatures on the board in excess of your opponent? As in, the original intention of the game? Have you PLAYED magic before?
That last game is what happens when a stoppable force meets a movable object
Hilarious comment!
I think it's more like what happens when an unmovable object meets an unmovable object
More like when unmovable dingus meets unmovable dingus
I have to say, this is your jank Magnum Opus.
Magnum Dingus

The all boardwipes and manlands deck was better 😂😂😂😂

In that last game, Chris stared into the abyss and blinked
I would watch a 60 minute uncut game of jank, don't worry about conceding on our behalf
I agree. I wanted to see an end to that last game. I didn't care how many hours it took. I'd have watched until the end.
I agree I would've watched too
Same here!
Do it again, dark lord!
Yeah, bummer indeed that we didn't get to see the end.
what an unsatisfying ending
Not as unsatisfying as the unanswered/unrecognized Jason Dennis posts...

One of the reasons I watch this channel is to see all the craziest and wackiest cards and combos. Great stuff
