- Using Microsoft Paint to draw the Mona Lisa. How to make the worlds most famous painting in the world's most infamous graphics program.
This is an edited reupload of the original video of the same title. The original video was uploaded in 2007 and became one of the early RUclips viral videos. It had over 17 million views when it was deleted in 2013. Sorry for the poor quality but the video was made on an old computer to the RUclips standard of the day.
Deleting the video was a hard decision but it contained copyrighted music that was causing it be blocked in various countries.

I never thought a cheap part of Windows like Microsoft Paint could be used to create artwork like this still you've got such talent I find your videos stunning even if you're not using proper art supplies you still come up with some really cool and unique artwork that I never thought possible. ^^

This just inspires me. It hurts to think of the beautiful artworks that artists like DaVinci or Van Gogh could have made if they had had access to electronic tools and programs to paint with.
its probably just that they were more dedicated to drawing more than anyone else
im not saying that they wont be better with acess to these tools i just think a bigger effect of them existing back then would be that more artists would show up

Nah. MS paint is a crappy art program that's so crap only pros can make anything decent in it, but it takes 10 times more time and effort to do it in than in a decent art program such as Adobe Flash

It took Leonardo da Vinci years to paint the Mona Lisa with good supplies and such, and it takes this guy 2 hours and a bit to paint the same thing in a crappy old painting program. LIKE, JUST SAYING, HOW ARE YOU HUMAN

Doing sfumato on a vector based program does not look easy. Mega props to the artist.

Actually it's just not a step-by-step as you would prefer but rather this demonstrates the technique he used except timelapse so you dont have to watch him draw for two hours.

Buring SpiritAJ It's a feat to make a piece of artwork like the Mona Lisa, but keep in mind that the actual Mona Lisa was already drawn when the artist made this, and he most likely kept a reference picture of Mona Lisa on hand as he drew this. He was merely copying a painting, not trying to make his own. While this is still an amazing work-- replicating a famous work of art in MS Paint, try to keep in mind that if this were an original photorealistic piece, the project could take upwards of a week.
This is fucking copy and in pc is much easier to draw morons! Leonardo Da Vinci was painting with hand-bleached each line with hands!! Leonardo Da Vinci is perfect!And that man copied all piece of real painting! In a computer is a lot easier to draw ! Your drawings is fake!

The OP just seemed really miffed at no layers, and the person being skilled enough to not need to cheat with layers so...I have no problem with digital art and plenty of digital artists are skilled. The layers the OP is obsessing over shows that they've been using layers to cheat however.
Layers are a shortcut that allow you to step back many steps or mask something more conveniently...a cheat to a process that would take longer with more skill with real life paint and a canvas. In terms of saving time, and leaving you not doing the dirty work (and apparently not knowing how to do the dirty work if the OPs indigence over not having layers is any indication, like, they'd freak out without layers)...yes, the convenience layers provide is a cheat.

This is one of my favorite paintings that was made in ms paint. It may be hard to master the petty program, but like dan from street fighter, you can something professional from something weak.
