One thing I love about Bayformer Starscream is you’ll know he’s coming before you even see him. He has that high pitched… almost mechanical squawking noise every time he transforms that’s super distinctive. I love that sound design for him

Armada Starscream by himself is definitely his own breed. But every other version in the trilogy I would never even call Screamer but a clone made in his image with vague memories who slowly became his G1 self on a grand scale

You raise a valid point in that rolled oats are the most preferred choice out of the lot not only flavor-wise but also in their consistency, if cooked properly having a deliciously creamy yet hardy texture. I prefer my oats prepared in warm milk for about 5 to 10 min till the oats reach the desired consistency, the milk adding the creamy texture as well as enriching the flavor with a wonderful sweetness. The issues I take are with your oatmeal toppings of choice, them being plain fruit or strawberries as seen in the example shown. Whilst fruit in and of itself carries no (decepti)cons, it is my belief that it is a crime to not spare further time and resources in letting the oatmeal reach its apotheosis. I am of the mind that the milk brewed oats work best with small, bite-sized chunks of fresh apple, further adding to the sweet taste as well as a hint of sourness contributing to the complexity and depth of the dish, and some chopped walnuts for crunchiness and lastly a sprinkle of cinnamon, a minuscule edition to taste, but it gives the bowl a rich and pleasant aroma. The combination of all the aforementioned elements elevates the simple bowl of cereal grain into a delicious dish in ways that no single fruit topping can, and that will leave you not only full but also satisfied and full of energy to start your morning off right.
Doritoscream isn't really a joke anymore. It's evolved into a nickname; like you'd call beast wars Megatron 'barney', or menasor 'menny'.
I can't think of a better name for him, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I think what they should have done with Energon Starscream is they should have had a subplot where Optimus, Hot Shot, and Alexis try to get him to remember who he was (basically that Dark Glass episode of Beast Wars that was scrapped)

I always found it weird that in the Bayformers films, Starscream had a different voice in the first film compared to the second and third films. I mean I understand why they changed it because it fits his sniveling character, but his first voice sounded way too cool for little amount we've heard just to throw it away.

I feel Cyberton's version is overlooked solely because of the show being part of the Unicron trilogy & thus is compared to his Armada version.
It's mostly because by the time Cybertron aired back in 2005, people were still dealing with PTSD from Energon.....

Even comparing him to the Armada version, I still think he's equal to that. You just have to realize they took the G1 characterization in two different directions.
-G1 Screamer was an incompetent backstabber who rarely succeeded, and his abuse was played for laughs.
-Armada took the abuse angle and played it for drama, causing him to have a crisis of faith when briefly siding with Optimus and the Autobots.
-Cybertron took the backstabbing schemer angle and played it straight, making him more competent and cunning. As a result he became the most successful iteration of the character by far, a threat in his own right on par with that series' Megatron.
Armada and cybertron starscreams was probably one of the best starscream versions, especially the heroic,noble personality of armada starscream,he got even the best design from that series along with scavenger,demolishor and cyclonus,megatron and blurr and most of the minicons,and cybertron starscream is actually a really great version of starscream but it's sadly underrated,and it's great to see cybertron starscream using elements from his marvel comics counterpart

Weirdly, it's only now that I notice how much bird-themed Starscream's Bayverse design is. I've always noticed that strange beak-looking detail on his forehead/nose, but now with this whole design analysis, It's so fascinating to me just how much subtlety went in his avian resemblance. I still prefer classic design's core structure above everything, but I'm REALLY hoping some future character gets something reminiscent to THIS design.
I'm near the end of "Transformers: Victory" actually! Could this be an ideal basics for possible redesign of Guyhawk? 🤔
Also, the only villain character in fiction I admire as much as Starscream, is Bill Cipher, and It's only now that I realize that both were at some point mistaken for a dorito 😳🤭

There’s something to every part of the unicron trilogy Starscream. Armada is a big part of the story, I kinda like the idea of Starscream being an assassin in Energon and I think could work if tried again, Cybertron is if Starscream stopped being a coward but decided to punch all his problems while still strategizing by playing the long game since episode 1. I think all 3 should be done again instead of another G1 rehash to add some extra variety
Ikr? Galaxy Force shows that if Starscream had balls (to risk going for more interesting chances) and braincells (to keep his mouth shut at least), he'd be a (third) force to be reckoned with.
Agreed. There’s only so much you can do of the same trope before it gets old.
I feel like Cybertron Starscream is underrated. He is seen planning to take down Megatron and becomes a separate threat for the Autobots on his own terms. Like the guy beat the entire team of Autobots on his own and when it seemed like Optimus got the upper hand, he used his wits to outsmart him. So he's by far the strongest incarnation of the character. Not to mention he's one of the few Starscreams that are still alive by the show's ending and continues standing in the way of the Autobots in his realm of the Fire Dimension.
On another note, I think Starscream's different iterations in all 3 shows could have worked had it been written better where Starscream does get his memories back....after the events of Energon. And he is left distraught when he realizes that Megatron essentially lobotomized him into servitude and doesn't feel like he could ever happily reunite with his old friends in Armada after serving Megatron so loyally. That's when he starts to construct his plan into betraying him and trying to bring him down. It felt like Cybertron tried to allude to the brainwashing in Energon when Starscream accuses Megatron of making him his slave so I wish the show tried acting more as a sequel to the previous installments. It could have worked as a tragic character who went from redemption to corruption arc.

I would like to say, as a bisexual Starscream was what GOT ME INTO Transformers. Mind you, it was because I saw him in a transformers dating sims page (which is now lost media), but HE was the reason I watched the shows.
Prime and Animated are my favorite, Cyberverse is also up there too. But Prime Screamer will always be my definitive view of how he acts and sounds like.

One of the if not the best design was g1 and the only two I can think of can live up to it being Prime and Animated
Other than the "Dinobot/Dreadwing" type from Armada, my fav type of Starscream is the competent one who can pose a threat - Cybertron, Combiner Wars, Cyberverse (to a lesser extent early on but not later).
Energon is NPC, G1, Prime, WFC/FOC and Animated (since S1 final) are punching bags.

Honestly would have been cool if they had kept Energon Starscream as basically an incomplete ghost, would have made him such a bigger threat as you'd have no way of really hitting him, and you wouldn't even know where he'd attack from next.
I agree regarding Armada Starscream and how he was done dirty in Energon.
I haven't gotten to watch Cyberverse as I still haven't finished what I think was the final season of RID 2015, but it does seem like a fun show, and this video has made me more interested in watching it.

The only thing I liked about Prime wars Starscream is that in the second show he possesses trypticon and goes on a rampage.
I feel like him and cyberverse would make a good duo since they both of have super powered forms. And are crazy.

I really like Starcream myself and I have quite the fondness for the character, I genuinely wouldn’t mind seeing more of these type of incarceration ranking videos. Here is my opinion on each of the onscreen screemers
10: Despite a lack of screen time I do quite like Starscream’s design in Bumblebee and I can’t wait to see more of him in Rise Of The Beasts (if it doesn’t get delayed again)
9: I don’t think he’s great either, but I do have his siege figure and honestly he was easily my favourite character in the prime wars trilogy, which isn’t saying a huge lot
8: I don’t care about this Starscreem, I like how they took inspiration from the IDW comics but that’s his only saving grace
7: Another studio series figure that I have, and one which I decided to order on Amazon because thought that Hamley’s charging £65 for a voyager class was a good idea. I love this Starscream but only because of my fondness of the bayformers franchise and does have some memorable scenes like when he swipes all of those cars out of the way
6: I heard that Armada Starscream was a completely innovative take on the character and I do have my eye on his legacy figure. Despite this, I couldn’t care less for Energon and I had a brief period of time when I watched Cybertron and I forgot everything he did there.
5: I never got into Cyberverse so I’m not the most familiar on this take of the character, but Megatron live-streaming his “funeral” honestly that alone makes me want to try out cyberverse
4: I don’t watch that much anime, but Beast Wars II Starscream is by far the most unique Starscream
3:I never watched Transformers Animated, but I already like this incarnation based on the fact that he was voiced by Tom Kenny alone
2: He finally got to rule the deceptions for 5 seconds, 5 precious seconds
1: I watched Prime and he is an absolute chad lord. I love his lanky arms and his threatening voice and he’s just such an entertaining character to watch.

In Bayverse, Starscream speaks a lot more Cybertronian than the others, so in that scene, he’s was most likely speaking Cybertronian.

They really should be taken as there own character, the show isn't connected to armada in any way other than marketing.
Cybertron starscream fought all the autobots at once and won, challenged and nearly killed primus, effortlessly bodied galvatron and the only thing that stopped him was plot armour/contrivances. Even after he punched Galvatron so hard he went to another dimension he still managed to interdimensional mock him through sheer willpower.

Me personally I think that tfa starscream is better than g1 starscream because tfa starscream is more conniving than g1 starscream. Even tho both were equally trying to kill megatron and be the leader, g1 starscream gets kind of annoying due to his voice(no slander on g1 starscream, his voice is cool), while tfa is devious and as you said, gets things done. I feel tfa starscreams story is more in depth too, and I like his immortality story more than ghost starscream imo

Starscream in a nutshell: No one likes him, most physically or verbally abuse him, everyone and the Universe tries to keep him down but he keeps going, and as soon as he gains ultimate power, tries to destroy *everyone*, prompting a opposite side team up, where he is knocked down or “killed “ . In short. Universe hates Starscream, so Starscream plots to destroy Universe and almost dose so.

I think I’m the most interested in Armada Starscream and IDW Starscream.

I will say that I don’t even consider Energon/Cybertron Starscream as the same character because of the point made about characters “revived” by Unicron. - namely that Scorponok while based on the one from Alpha Q’s homeworld, is actually not the same one. His spark is different. And since Starscream is very similar, I argue Energon Starscream is a different character altogether. Although Cybertron Starscream is the most successful of them all. He actually got the power the others wished they had and almost managed to conquer everyone. Heck he even needed multiple Autobots or Decepticons to even be able to stop him temporarily.
Yes, the scene where he basically plows through the entire autobot roster, grabs the keys by threatening the kids and distracting Optimus and walks away with an entire decepticon armada is probably my favourite in the entire show.

Also while the episode in the dub is gone, the concept of it is not. Energon has a lot of times implying Alpha Q has more of a history with Scorponok than Scorponok does with Alpha Q. The best explanation is the non-dubbed episode of Energon. But to add to that, Energon pretty much claims that Alpha Q just named him Starscream, not that the spark he “found” (which is still BS and another add to the list that even the on-screen continuity is not infallible) was even Starscream’s spark because his death in Armada pretty well implies his spark was destroyed. That’s not even mentioning that Unicron has never been able to revive a spark that was extinguished, only make new Sparks
@@NobleBot10 um… his spark didn’t fall into the Sun. Starscream’s body and spark was directly attacked and vaporized by a blast from Unicron. Also in the UT, it’s kinda implied that Sparks cannot be extinguished by falling into a Star or being within a Sun. Just because the characters think he’ll die doesn’t mean he will. Honestly the only way I could see Starscream surviving his death by Unicron would be if Shockblast survived his and it’s canon that he didnt.
Even if they intended as such, their argument doesn’t function in the world they wrote. Unicron does not and never has absorbed the sparks of anyone killed by him. Heck if you claimed it was Thrust’s spark or Sideway’s spark that would make some sense, both were killed while on or inside of Unicron. Starscream does not.
Also another thing to add which is what I think the actual plan for the “sparks wandering within Unicron” thing was about is actually that Unicron was making new sparks. Which while he can do that, and even make characters close to their original versions, he cannot remake a spark that was extinguished. That was never an ability that he has and is even contradicted in other places, such as the Cybertron Comic where Scorponok is revived but again doesn’t have memories or his personality from Energon, just a corrupted monster that needs energy.
More than likely his body was designed after Starscream which possibly Alpha Q could have seen either from memories of Unicron or if he was within Unicron during Armada, he might have known of Starscream and created a clone in hopes to make a Starscream that would be as moral and heroic as Armada Starscream.
Um… how about explain how Unicron was destroyed Eons ago and only NOW is the Universe unbalance about to destroy the Universe? And for that matter why does Primus’ power even stop that? In Cybertron it’s stopped because the Black Hole is being fueled by Unicron’s essence which Primus can stop. In GF, it’s not and worse, both Galvatron and Starscream are dead or no longer in this universe - meaning the imbalance should be WORSE.
Or that the Armor of Unicron that Megatron wears makes no sense because at best it was just given that name, and at worst it still has the backstory of being forged from Unicron’s spark. If it’s not then how did Megatron survive being torn apart by space and time? With it being Unicron it makes sense, Unicron’s immortal spark saved Megatron’s spark and as Unicron is able to do in Armada, is regenerating Megatron. The Risling would counter that by using Primus’ power to stop Unicron’s power and kill him… (or seal him in a dimension beyond space and time or something based on the image at the end of Cybertron.)
Yes there are issues, namely that the EDC is no longer around… which at most I can imagine that being something happened to break relations between the Humans and Transformers. The agent could be from what’s left of the EDC claiming to be a more black-ops operation to cover their tracks for now especially since after the series ends the Alliance is reestablished. Also it was explained before that the Black Hole is messing with people’s memories… (or more accurately no one wants to acknowledge Energon/Superlink exists because it was that bad.)
Other things, note that the clip showing the old leaders planning the Space Bridge project looks like Pre-Earth Armada Optimus with generics, the lines about Unicron’s defeat are changed in the dub, and while there are a lot of dubbing flubs, that doesn’t mean you should completely discount it. I mean GF everyone and I mean EVERYONE sounds like they don’t know how to emote with only their voice. And this is from an anime nerd that loves subbed over dubbed in most series. At bare minimum, saying Cybertron is not connected to Armada & Energon is like arguing that Car Robots is not in the JP G1 continuity. Yea it has a LOT of issues and is kinda confusing how it fits, but it’s still there. Unless you want to argue that it should have been apart of the G1 continuity in the US too.
@@NobleBot10 may I remind you first off Cybertron is not the same continuity as Galaxy Force. There are continuity differences between Cybertron and Galaxy Force just like Armada and Energon have major differences from their JP versions namely in history.
Cybertron never says Unicron was “destroyed eons ago” just that he was destroyed, in fact the dub implies that was fairly recent. As for arguing that the JP continuity is combined, idk, maybe GF is eons later than ML and SL? It would explain a few things.
Also that was not clearly explained in Energon, and even when I attempted to watch SL (which actually was better at explaining some things and the voice actors aren’t as grading….) it’s really only implied. The Continuity people in the US tend to give very differing answers. But even with that, Alpha Q does not need to be within Unicron by that point.
Um… the end of GF has Galvatron dead, and Starscream is either dead or in an alternate dimension. I have to rewatch GF’s ending for that which I really don’t want to do because it’s boring.
Um… how? Because it’s been explained a similar situation happened in the G1 Continuity, and it’s why BW era Transformers don’t interact with Humans. Also yes that’s not in the anime but it was explained by the US writers. The Black Hole is having major effects on all aspects of the universe in the Cybertron continuity, something it does not have in GF because it’s not fueled by Unicron’s essence.
And remember Armada was using G1 designs for Generics.
And yes, GF is the only one of the anime’s that has such flat acting all around.
