I will say part of the blame has to be put on the fact that our best receiver is out. Pickins has double the yards of any receiver on the team. Playing against a high caliber team like the eagles when your down your best man is tough. Also we were getting creative on that drive that would have tied the game up but najee sold it.

We had less than zero chance to win today without Pickens and Eilliott! Same goes with the next two games. The brick wall on the first three possessions today is not a first. Oline has not moved the line of scrimmage an inch to start any game this season. The Steelers have too many weaknesses to win more than a game in the playoffs, and maybe not even that.
People it’s not the players. The coaching is not that good. Terrell is a subpar defensive coordinator. His is terrible. He puts his players in terrible schemes. Arthur Smith is a little bit better than Matt Canada but his scheme is basic. Najee just took his eyes off the ball. Trying to cut up the field. Actually that play should be in the scrap pile

It’s not always about the coaches. You have to have realistic expectations based on the players on the team.
They were out played in all 3 phases. Eagles are a solid playoff team, Chiefs and Bills and even the Lions I think are even better. You need dynamic offense to win not $18 million safeties snd linebackers.

He had to play different today due to Elliot being out. 1 reason the pass d suffered.
Headline says it all. This team as a whole is outmatched by top teams in the League. If this offense scores 14 off those 2 defensive turnovers in the first half, Najee’s mishap probably would not have mattered. He’s not to blame for a team loss. The performance of the offense is still a problem. Can’t score from the 4? We’ve been talking about this team “cleaning up” sloppy play since training camp! That’s who they are at this point-undisciplined and sloppy and that’s going to be exposed in December/January football.

N. Harris lost us this game, with that fumble - we lost the ball, we lost potential points, we lost momentum, we lost the game because of that fumble. No one can tell me any different....
They Eagles held the ball for basically the entire second half. If they’d needed to, they could’ve scored 48 points. Steelers’ o-line was over-matched. The fumble didn’t help, but the Eagles fumbled twice at the beginning of the game in their half and gave up 3. Eagles were the better team.
The o-line was massively overmatched. Couldn’t run at all, and yet they continued to try to run on first down. Couldn’t protect Wilson, yet they continued to try to pass from a non-existent pocket (ending up with a rushed incompletion, a block or a tip, or a sack). It’s true that it’s hard to win through trickery, screens, quick outs, scrambles, and throwing on first down, but when you’re that overmatched on the line, it’s your only hope. The secondary continues to be mediocre. But the bottom line is, this team is typical of the Tomlin era: good enough to make the playoffs but not much more. Probably another one-and-done. It’s hard to evaluate Tomlin. Winning over many years is not nothing, but Steelers’ fans are used to more, and that seems permanently out-of-reach, or nearly so. If there are any consistent faults I’ve seen over these many years, I think they are poor o-line play (I used to think this was intentional with Rothlisberger, a trade-off to capitalize on his size and relative ability to stay upright under massive pressure), poor clock management, and predictable play calling. Not sure how much of that is on Tomlin, but there’s definitely a pattern here: Always decent, (almost) never great.
The play calling is the culprit of these loses and it’s starting to look more obvious that between Arthur smith, Tomlin, and the defense it’s off. The critical play in Cleveland with letting Justine coming in and throwing vs running, then other stuff these defense can not contain the middle of the field and can’t stop anyone and it’s just wide open.
2:03 “When you look at the replays, it doesn’t look like Washington did anything wrong” Wait.. what?!?!? He drove the Eagles player 17 yards through the endzone and slammed him against the wall 5 full seconds after the play was over. What the f are you talking about??? Are you blind????
