I went to an estate sale in our town, held in a very vintage house! Not only did it have the original butler's pantry and original stove with a cooking well, but also an entirely green bathroom on one floor and entirely lavender bathroom on the other. Those bathrooms even had color matched, built in laundry hampers! I hope the new owners kept all that original stuff. Very rare, today!!!
Heat lamps have to be the best addition to a bathroom. I was born in the mid 60s, but I recall heat lamps and some of my friends houses. They seem to have been a luxury item for darn sure. Apparently my family couldn’t afford.
We have a tiled in soap holder and our shower was built in 2000. Also Heat lamps still are popular in upscale renovations. Especially in the north. Pretty sure these are still a thing. I grew up in a house absolutely COVERED in Avocado green and Harvest Gold.
I hate to tell you, but almost everything in your video is either modern or modern retro, including the colors. Except for all the fuzzy and shag stuff in the bathroom. Some people did put that stuff in their bathrooms. Here is how you can tell a modern retro bathroom from an authentic say 1950s bathroom. Pink and green is modern retro. Reason being in those days color coordination was extremely important. Clashing colors was a big no-no. That's why you had to buy colored toilet paper that matched the color of your bathroom. So you could have a pink bathroom or you could have a green bathroom, but a pink and green bathroom would have been really weird. You could also have a blue or a yellow bathroom. As long as everything matched. Different shades of the same color was good. I wish people who do all this retro stuff could understand that. They are totally distorting what things actually looked like in those days.
One trend I'd like to see return to modern bathrooms? Space. Too many of today's bathrooms are tiny. I would actually like to see glass blocks come back. Unfortunately, style changes wasn't the only reason they disappeared. Bathrooms with glass block walls were almost impossible to properly insulate, and they were often cold and battling mold was common.
When I was really little, growing up in the 80's. We had an 🥑 avocado green bathroom-tub, 🚽 toilet & sink..it had black contour. And, our bathroom had multi color tiles..green and baby blue. We also had a dull orange office with dark brown trim around the border (you could film that 70s Show..or the Brady Bunch) take your pick..and, does anyone remember those 70s style "babies" with the big heads..& eyes. Mind you, they were NOT Precious Moments.
I forgot something..what about the over the 🚽 toilet organizer? It had sliding doors for toilet paper, creams..Q tips..ect. Remember bed head boards with the same concept..my grandma used to keep her meds..cough candies..same deal. My Aunt had made a toilet seat cover of Santa 🎅 when the lid was down-he was smiling..when lifted..he was covering his eyes 👀
My first house had the green bathroom and I hated that color when it was there but what can you do? My grandmother‘s house had a sunk in tub. It was beautiful and huge. It was huge to me as a kid.
The Pink is out of style however so many retro items have come back of course made cheaply and without a doubt $$$$. Mosr definitely carpeted bathrooms are gross
Carpted bathrooms are Digusting that's where mold and mildew and bacteria growths in the bathroom in general had removed all of the carpet in the bathrooms do not regret it nobody needs a toilet tank cigarette ash tray installed in their toilets nobody wants shag carpeting in their bathrooms I'd prefer tile heated flooring in the bathrooms sorry i don't do these covers on my toilets either Digusting that's harboring germs when people do their business now we have modern tubs and bidet toilet seats with the sprayers inside the toilets

Avocado green and harvest gold were also popular colors for kitchen appliances.

Most of your examples of sunken tubs are NOT sunken at all.

Lets go back to green and pink! Nowadays everything is black. That not homy (is that a word?)!
Water sprayers did NOT come Europe as you claim. Bathroom water sprayer was an Arab/Muslim invention that goes back 1500 years.
That's because they still wipe with their hand
